Located in the West Loop of Downtown Chicago, PERILLA fare offers Korean American cuisine centered around a communal dining experience inspired by classic Korean flavors and traditional ingredients. With an emphasis and focus on quality and premium selection of meats for Korean BBQ, Chef Andrew Lim and the team proudly works with local farms and quality importers to provide our guests with an adventurous culinary experience. Food was great, smaller portions which was expected and explained. Time limit at table seemed rather short for what youre paying and if you want dessert or after dinner drink.

The food is pretty good, a bit pricey and surprising that banchan isn't included when you order plates of meat, I also think $15 for something that is traditionally free at Korean barbecues is a bit much. That being said, the beef, pork belly and chicken wings were really tasty and the price tag was worth it. Most of the staff were amazing, attentive, and kind. Unfortunately we had a really unpleasant experience with our waitress. However the manager did follow up with me afterward to listen to our experience and seemed committed to supporting the waitress to improve.

Had a great experience with our family of 3. Our 9-year daughter liked the Sunday dumplings as well as the ribeye. Excellent flavors and our server did a great job of making suggestions. The chef was also great with a gluten free alergy. Highly recommend!

I’m not gonna lie, I take issue with Korean restaurants that charge for banchon. With that said, they did allow for free refills and the quality was good. The ambiance and service were great, and my friend and I really enjoyed our experience. We had a long chat with our meat grilling person about Asian angst 😅😅 The food was good but I’m not sure it was quite as amazing as the prices might dictate. However, I would recommend it and plan on returning.

We had an amazing work dinner for a group of 7. The appetizers were all fantastic (rice cakes and wings were everyone’s favs), but the star of the show was the beef! Go with the Chefs plates, you won’t regret it once you try the wagyu!!
