Located in the West Loop of Downtown Chicago, PERILLA fare offers Korean American cuisine centered around a communal dining experience inspired by classic Korean flavors and traditional ingredients. With an emphasis and focus on quality and premium selection of meats for Korean BBQ, Chef Andrew Lim and the team proudly works with local farms and quality importers to provide our guests with an adventurous culinary experience. We offer an expansive beverage list which includes handcrafted cocktails, craft beers, a curated wine list, and hand selected imported sojus and makgeolli. Our menu accommodates all dietary restrictions with a focus on vegetarian options including locally sourced mushrooms. This was our second visit to Perilla.We ordered the yum yum chicken wings (Twice)! ,& from the grill pork belly and Short rib .The kids loved it & since I was a vegetarian I got Beef fried rice with Beef on the side which my kids happily ate! The matcha dessert was delish! We were short on time as we had other commitments else we wud have ordered the other dessert as well.The service was fantastic,our server explained us everything very well. Friendly & Suave .Memorable evening Indeed .

Perilla is absolutely the best expression of Korean bbq in the US, with elegance, modernity and a bit of whimsy that doesn't show itself in LA or NY. A hidden Korean-Chicagoan gem.

We had an excellent time at PERILLA fare. My husband and I celebrated our Wedding Anniversary for dinner. The staff was very attentive and made us feel like our experience was very unique and individualized for us.

We were seated earlier than our reserved time. All the staff were super friendly and attentive. The quality of food was impeccable and amazing. You can def taste the freshness of the ingredients and diff levels of the flavor each dish brought. It’s a restaurant where you know the chef takes their time to prep in a way to enhance the natural favors of each ingredients.

The food was all good, not great. The real concern was with the portions. We ordered as recommended for 5 people and were all left hungry.

The food and service were incredible. The variety of Kimchis and other accompanying sides were perfectly fermented, texture contrasts. All of the servers were delightful and then rice cake appetizer is a must try!!!
