An oasis in Beacon Hill. Reminds me of great restaurants in Copenhagen. Similar to new Nordic cuisine.
Great service! Love Ariel! Amazing waitress
Waitresses & waiters very professional and friendly. We went for lunch & food was absolutely delish! Very very clean. It was our first time there. Highly recommend. Will go back.
We didn’t eat - 2 rounds of drinks and an appetizer - might be nice to allow rating without food
Great service, beautiful ambience, and amazing food. Chef Bullock is a treasure - highly recommend the octopus and jamón with melon!
I always get the shrimp and potato small dish and salad
Delicious and very good service. Very sweet hotel lobby and good restaurant.
Can’t wait to come back!
Service was so kind and friendly
Food was amazing
Great wine list
Always such a joy to visit Peregrine. Cocktails and all food offerings were on point. Atmosphere is wonderful as is the service.
Peregrine is all that you would want in a restaurant: great food, low key-chic ambiance, and thoughtful waitstaff. Loved everything I ordered: pan fried octopus, caeser salad (with roasted cabbage), sourdough bread made pink by beets and a plum galette. So very good... Looking forward to my next visit!
Steak was the worst we've had in years. The blackened fish was ok but nothing spectacular. The outdoor seating is below standard for the area, cramped, and very noisy. Service was decent but not to the level that is expected with a menu of this price range. First and last visit to what looked like it should have been a stellar experience.
We went to try lathe roast chicken on the current menu. It was outstanding! Also I tried the Amari tasting flight which was spectacular. Service was as exceptional as always.
Great time. Charming location too, loved the patio for after dinner.
Service personable and efficient, food creative and delicious, beverages exceeded expectations. Wonderful experience all around. Lower grades on ambiance and sound not necessarily the fault of the establishment, but rather precautions needed for COVID. When at full strength, and utilizing indoor space appropriately, this place will be a true gem.
Stopped in for breakfast before a kayak ride on the Charles. The service was excellent as well as the food. The server gave us some pointers and even some birthday cookies with a candle!
Drinks came 15min + after we ordered, had to flag a manager to take our drink order. They were busy with a small Mgh party outside, but still

Inventive menu and preparation. The small plates were delicious.
Dishes were mixed. Some were delicious, others plain. Expected more options for wine by the glass.
While the food was very good, the menu was too limited. Also surprised at the 7% service fee added.

Understanding that COVID has created staffing difficulties for restaurants, and going into the night conscious of such, the service was even worse than anticipated. It seemed like the staff had just started that night with no training; coming to the table seemingly every 5 minutes; no familiarity with the menu; overly casual attitude. On top of all that, it was a rainy evening so I brought and checked and umbrella, and when I got up to leave, the umbrella was gone, the staff was unapologetic and wouldn’t even lend me a hotel umbrella to get home in the rain—they gave me one that a prior guest had left instead! Clearly undertrained and new staff. Oh, and the food was not very good (though I came here pre-COVID and had no complains whatsoever).
First time eating there, really enjoyed it. Everything was delicious and the service was great.
Brought out dessert before cappuccino and they were very delayed on bringing out cappuccino. I waited about 15-20 minutes. Cappuccino machine is visible and servers were chatting and not making drink even after I asked my server about it. I canceled cappuccino.
Other than the mediocre Antipasti, the meal was excellent. Wine list excellent as well. Romantic courtyard for evening dining, too. Will definitely return!
Lauren, Thank you so much for the positive review, it is so helpful to bring us new guests, and so wonderful to hear that you enjoyed your experience! I am sorry to hear that you were underwhelmed by the antipasti plate. This is hugely helpful feedback for us, that we take seriously, and will use to improve in the future. We hope to see you back again sometime soon.
Food was terrific but the service was spotty. Other waitstaff were quite attentive to their tables, our server was rather absent. At one point, we asked for a little time between our meal and dessert and nearly 30 minutes passed before the server asked if we wanted our check. When we asked to see the dessert menu, she accommodated and we waited another 10 minutes before her return, during which time we talked ourselves out of dessert, as a lively party was seated next to us. We asked for the check again, and waited for 20 more minutes until a different person stepped in to refresh water, and we asked again for our check which appeared and we paid and left. Our server saw us on the way out and failed to acknowledge our goodbye. We’ve been here many times before and this service experience is rather atypical and is being shared to provide a teachable moment, not besmirch the restaurant.
This is my favorite restaurant in town. Low key yet cozy, contemporary, artful, and simply beautiful setting as part of Whitney hotel. Service was warm and attentive. It is a gem. thank you!
Thank you so much! Glad you love visiting our space.
Peregrine was better pre-COVID but a solid experience. Service was slow, but I empathize with the challenges of fully staffing and our server was stretched incredibly thin. She was terrific though. The food was good but the menu pretty limited.
Had a lovely meal in the garden. Quiet and relaxing. Really cool garden in the middle of downtown. Great food and wine. The spring risotto and tomato bread in particular were fantastic but everything was great. Great wine. Fantastic service. Will be back!!!
Thank you for taking the time to review your experience and visit to our courtyard!
Our service was not to standard for the prices and caliber of the food. Our server served us a half glass of wine and did not offer dessert. When we commented on the short pour the server was abrupt and did not even remotely attempt to reconcile the issue. The food was great but the service was so poor we will not be back.
Great meal and excellent service. Relaxed atmosphere.
Thank you Robert, so happy to hear you enjoyed your time at Peregrine!
The courtyard was beautiful and we loved the hotel.
Outdoor dining was very loud, lots of ambulances, police cars, and traffic
Fabulous. We were outside on street so a bit noisy but it didn’t interfere with our dining or conversation. Highly recommend Peregrine.
Quiet and quaint. Staff was friendly and attentive. The food was fresh and full of flavor.
Absolutely brilliant, knowledgable, friendly server fully opened a restaurant that was new to us. Noticed, too late, an interior courtyard for dining because streetside on a Saturday morning had a great deal of ambulance traffic.
Thank you Geoffrey! Note, our interior courtyard features a more casual style of service, and is seated only on a walk in basis, but we look forward to having you back there when the time is right! Thanks for spending your Saturday with us and taking the time to review.
An amazing experience- every dish was delicious, unique, and very high quality ingredients. There wasn’t one thing we didn’t enjoy! The bread and cheese options were divine. Caesar salad was one of the best I’ve ever eaten. Dessert was delicious across the board. To top it all off the covered outdoor seating was so cute with a gorgeous view of Charles St and with heaters! Would highly recommend and can’t wait to go back.
Thank you Lizzy!!! So glad you had such a nice tour of our menu and enjoyed our patio!
We enjoyed our various lunches so much that we returned later in the week to try different menu items. Wonderful restaurant.
Yay! Thank you for spending time with us twice last week!
Menu was different than what was shown online. Also thought we were eating in the courtyard. Service was slow. Not what we expected at all based on the location and proces.
Sat outside! Patio was great place to enjoy brunch and people watch. Food was fantastic and service was A+. The waiter really knew his stuff and helped us pick a fantastic wine. Unique menu.
Thank you!!! Glad you had a great time :)
Waiter was wonderful and recommended some great wine. Food is exceptional
Thank you! Wine is important!
