Service was on target and social distancing was quite impressive. Felt comfortable and food was fantastic.
Service was so friendly and absolutely outstanding, yet relaxed and just the perfect balance. Food was amazing!!!!!! I'm going back next week to enjoy it again and share with my husband.. went with my son the first time at his recommendation. Kudos!!!!
A good restaurant, which went to great lengths to provide outdoor patio accommodation to its patron throughout winter.
The food is great, and the alcohol drinks perhaps a tad overpriced considering the average decor of the outdoor patio seating.
In the end, the main turnoff was the background noise, mostly due to the fact that the nearby W Broad road traffic encourages the restaurant's patron to raise the volume of their conversations.
My daughter and I had a perfect Tastes of Fall dinner: Manila Negroni cocktail for me, mocktail for her; side salad; Butternut Bisque; and Fall Pizza. We ate indoors. Love Chef Mike’s innovative menu!
Great food with a great blend of flavors. Would definitely eat here again!
Great food, creatively designed menu, great server, friendly environment. Food also came out quickly which was a pleasant surprise for a sit down place this nice.
Because of pandemic, we ate outside with attendant cool conditions. Food was great, but understandably became little cooler because of the ambient temperature. Service was really good.
Fantastic brunch, lots of outdoor seating, and plenty of parking.
Great good in a great setting outdoors. Highly recommend.
Always love one of our favorite restaurants. We felt completely comfortable indoors. Menu is always changing and anything we have tried has been delicious.
Perch has done a nice job with their outdoor seating. Tables well spaced so noise level was good. Food was excellent!
Delicious food and great service. Cannot wait to go again!
We went for our wedding anniversary. First time there. Absolutely gorgeous dining room with the most pleasant staff. The lumpia was outstanding and a must have. We will definitely be back!
I had a great lunch under the tent on the side of the restaurant. The weather was perfect. I ordered the tuna poke bowl as my main course. It was very good, with the avocado, pineapple, seaweed, cucumbers and rice adding nice textures and flavors to the dish. The eel sauce was a good accompaniment. For dessert, I had the "love bomb," which is obviously called that because it basically makes love to the inside of one's mouth. Words cannot adequately describe how delicious it was. The chocolate was in the shape of a ball that had been sliced horizontally across the middle. On the inside were chocolate mousse, dulce de leche and a lavender-blackberry compote. Hot chocolate sauce was poured over the ball/bomb tableside, flowing into the ball through a slit in the top. Cocoa powder dusted the plate. The entire concoction was very sweet, just the way that I like my desserts. A couple of blueberries and a raspberry were also on the plate for decoration, as even I could not rationalize that they (together with the blackberries) made the dessert a "healthy one." LOL
Very well executed dining experience.
Great awareness of the COVID challenges, but a nice dining experience with top notch service and great flavors.
Had a wonderful night on the porch with my husband and another couple!
The entire staff was so friendly and made the dining experience great. We had oysters, muscles, pimento crab dip, and the fried chicken Bah Mi. Everything was absolutely delicious! Although the Bah Mi will haunt me! Highly addictive!!
Great place to eat! Owner is personable and interactive. Love the hamburger!
Perch is a go-to restaurant for us. Service, food, and safe service are excellent.
Eating outside takes about from the experience, but what can you do in these times. Food was very good, the lumpia is excellent! Service was great too...Perch did not disappoint.
Food was just eh, I was disappointed when we arrived that our “outside” seating was literally in the parking lot, not an actual patio. We felt the food was overpriced, service was ok. If we return, would definitely want a seat inside as they seemed to have a more pleasant dining experience.
Always stellar, never disappoints.
Sat outside on a Saturday night. The noise from the bar next door was a bit much, but overall the dinner was enjoyable. Service was excellent, and the food was great, even with my modifications.
This was our first visit to Perch and cannot wait to go back. We had the chance to sit at the chef’s table and be entertained by the activity in the kitchen while enjoying an outstanding meal. The service was outstanding, food delicious, and we especially appreciated the protocols put in place to safely dine out.
Firstly I want to commend them. They were one of the first restaurants to adapt quickly and hardly seemed to miss a beat when the pandemic closings occurred, offering high-end take-out.
Perch is one of my favorites Pre- or Post-Pandemic. This is based on me pretty much ordering the whole Bronzino every time ;-) but I sample others' dishes -- usually to confirm mine is still the best. The paella usually comes in second and I'm happy when someone else orders it. I was grateful to see that our cocktails arrived in glassware instead of the plastic cups the water came in.
We were seated under the tent in the parking lot. I have no issue with that, but it was a rainy day with a chill in the air and a wind kicking up so we requested a table by the heater when they initially tried to seat us far away from one. It was still a little chilly but not uncomfortable. Then halfway through our meal they took our heater away! They kind of shrugged and said "sorry there's not enough to go around". But immediately two of my dining companions were miserably cold and the evening was cut short for that. It's like pulling the rug out when you're already committed. I'm sad to say that one of my guests had never been before, and he said he didn't enjoy it because it was so uncomfortably wet and chilly and was justifiably annoyed to have things rearranged mid-meal.
I'm disappointed that at the tail end of September, Perch wouldn't have prepared better for cold. One small heater per 5 distanced tables just doesn't cut it. Or, to be smarter and economical, they should hang plastic sheeting around the tent which would be a wind-break and allow them to continue outdoor service well into late fall and possibly beyond. Hope they see this and consider it.
I still recommend Perch. It's a hard time for all businesses but there is room for improvement. I want them to stick around.
This was the best meal over had in so long. What a treat! Excellent and creative menu with plenty of gluten free options... Thank you!
We had a very pleasant date. The online app payment/menu thing wasn’t explained very clearly and we didn’t see a server much. It wasn’t a big deal, but it would’ve been nice to have it explained at the start.
Everything was great. Our reservations were for 7:00 p.m. so we were disappointed that the lamb special was already sold out. Other than that, awesome.
Yummy, very enjoyable. We will be back soon! Recommend
Everything was beautifully presented and perfectly prepared, but the undisputed highlight was the key lime pie. Best I’ve ever had. The velvety, melt-in-your-mouth texture is divine.
Excellent venue, whether dining indoors or out - very Covid conscious. Creative and delicious menus from the kitchen and the bar. Service is always excellent. We love that Chef Mike sources locally and conscientiously, and he is always trying new things. Try it, you'll like it!
This was are first time here are server was great we ordered drinks first we each he=ad differant drinks they were all good, we had the muscles they were very fresh and tasty, I had the shrimp pizza it was ok it needed more spices than it had, Pete had the pu pu plater again very tasty he could not believe all the food on the palter. Sally had the paella some much food very very good, the B got vegan crab cake it was just ok. We will come back again.
Thank you John, Pete and Sally!
The outdoor ambiance was terrible. It was loud due to Bingo next door and people outside not social distancing and playing games. The ground was wet with chairs in standing water.
The food made us sick the next day - overly oily. Every dish tasted the same ( same spices used, I guess). It was also really expensive for mediocre food. Drinks were overpriced. Our vodka and tonic had hardly any vodka in it that we could taste.
Wonderful oysters. Great shrimp pizza! Looks like Perch is getting back to normal.
This was our first time at Perch. The ambiance was nice, elegant yet simple. Food was decent, service was not. The restaurant seemed to not heed COVID regulations as the restaurant seemed at capacity from our view. Due to this, our server was drowning. It took 30-40 minutes upon sitting down to get drinks and just as long to order, etc. This was made even more frustrating as we watched our server tend to tables nearby. Will I come back? Maybe. Will I recommend to a friend? Yes, with warning.
Hey Allison, It does seem that your server did let your table sit for quite a while without drinks. Our apologies. I do see that he discounted your check as an apology. I've made a note on your account to send you a round on us next time you come in. We are only at 1/2 capacity and have removed many tables and left some in between others for spacing. There is always the option of sitting outside on our patio for the safest experience. We hope you will give us another try some time.
The food is amazing. A culinary adventure every time we go.
Perch was AMAZING! Great food, service, precautions, drinks, etc etc I literally cannot say enough good things and can’t wait to go back!
Food was delicious and interesting! Service was great. Craft cocktails were delicious. Loved the street corn!! Can’t wait to go back!
This was our first time at Perch and it was great. We made a reservation online and they were super quick to seat us and even sat us early. Our waiter was super attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu and drinks
Portion size exceeded expectations, but it didn’t seem flavorful and it was on the pricy side. There was very minimal interaction with the server and no suggestions were made about menu/cocktails or asking if we’d been there before. Bummer, because the place looked awesome and felt like it was an upbeat place with a rockin menu. I would only come back for a cocktail on the patio or a visit to the chef’s table, as I’m sure that would of definitely been a memorable experience. Decent place, but wouldn’t go out of my way to come back.
