Perch is being recognized as the next destination for great experiences, cocktails and dinner. We are located at the Lodge at Gulf State Parks along with our sister restaurant FoodCraft. We are open Wednesday through Sunday from 5 PM until 11 PM. Perch offers seasonal craft cocktails, fresh Gulf seafood and a selection of steaks and chops that are broiled to perfection.     Overall an ok experience however specifically set reservations ahead of our trip celebrating honeymoon and made special request for sunset with a view on the deck. We were sat inside and then several walk ins came in and were seated in prime sunset viewing locations outside on the deck. Not sure why they accept special requests only to deny and then rub it in our face missing the sunset. Food was ok but for the prices on the menu I expected a better menu and taste.

    Great place to eat whether a special occasion or just looking for a restaurant right on the ocean. We ate outside which was very comfortable, had great service and the food was outstanding. I feel for the dining experience the price was a value

    Perch is a LOVELY restaurant, and our server did his very best to accommodate special requests. That said, I had mentioned my husband's birthday within the booking and again at the host station, and nothing came of it. Our beautifully plated food was actually quite bland, and the price tag was high. And even though the restaurant was empty, we were given a table that was a tight squeeze for a party of 5. Had to ask for that extra setting, and we rearranged the furniture to accommodate our fifth. Lastly, my request for a decaf Italian coffee was met with all kinds of confusion, and it took extraordinary measures to acquire. What came wasn't dressed in the least, and there was no whipped cream on premises. Would return for drinks on the outside deck in a heartbeat, but likely won't return for dinner.

    I work at a restaurant in New Orleans so my expectations are pretty high. WIth that being said I was pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent, presentations on point and the cocktails and wine list superb. I have a condo in Gulf Shores and visit off season and during season. We will be visiting Perch frequently!

    Great ambience, food was good but the flavor didn’t wow us. Great value on caymus wine by the glass that evening that our server mentioned when we went to order a bottle. Overall it was good but wasn’t OMG good😎

    Our experience at Perch was wonderful! Our server Will took great care of us, he’s top notch! The atmosphere was amazing as we got to watch the sunset and enjoy our SEAFOOD TOWER that was absolutely INCREDIBLE!! If you haven’t experienced Perch yet, you need to check them out!! 5 ⭐️

    We made reservations here for a holiday weekend birthday dinner on the referral of a family friend. For a party of 6, we were sat in a private room.. which would’ve been wonderful if it actually had a view, or if the staff didn’t forget about us in there. Our food took over 1 hour to get delivered. Once we got it, it was cold and tasteless. So disappointing. The staff did take the entrees off our bill, so that was nice. But super disappointed with the food and our entire experience. The view is incredible if you actually get seated by windows though!

    Oxhana was a wonderful waitress! We had the oysters for starter (delicious) then moved to the Scallops and Mahi-mahi for dinner. Topped off with key lime pie. Food and ambiance were perfect!! We ended our vaca there last year and knew we wanted to do it again!! Highly recommend!!

    Food was superior. Had a table right by stairs coming in. So it was a little loud and congested at times.

    Our server was way out of place in this “fine dining” establishment. Never mind how she carried herself unprofessionally, started off with “like, I forgot what the special is”, asked us twice if we wanted an appetizer, took 20min to take our order, and she only had four tables, I think. It was not busy on a Saturday evening. If the food was amazing, we could have overlooked the poor service, but the food didn’t match the price. I had the tomahawk pork chop(3 out of 5) and my wife had the pasta dish( didn’t finish and didn’t want to take to go). The atmosphere was AMAZING though. We won’t go back unless they gift card us.

    Seafood Tower, Rock Shrimp Cappelini, Tomato Tart - all were soooooo good. Everyone in my group loved the food and the local Murder Point oysters- so fresh!! Putting this place on my must-visit-while in Gulf Shores list!

    It took our waitress 10 minutes to come to our table - another table seated at same time different section had water and wine before ours came. She was a bit rude, obvious she wasn’t happy we had kids with us and we would have ordered a lot more if she was friendly or shared about the dishes.

    We were not very impressed with any of our main course choices. The presentation was great but taste wasn’t there. The pretzel for two was very good for a starter. We did enjoy it. Very quiet nice atmosphere. Very friendly service.

    This is the perfect place to entertain a special guest. Although Perch has a lovely terrace, I requested a table inside due to the heat, but next to a window. Our table was waiting for us when we arrived. Our waiter was friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. The food was delicious and well-presented. At one point during the meal, the heavy drink menu that was standing vertically, fell over without any coaxing and shattered on the table leaving shards in my side plate of asparagus. The staff quickly responded, cleaned up the mess and the manager brought a new order of asparagus without any mention from me. Couldn't be happier with the service. I definitely recommend Perch to anyone who wants a unique and very pleasant dining experience. This was not my first time visiting, nor will it be my last.

    Hostess downstairs was welcoming when we checked in for our 9:00 reservation, she told us to go upstairs. Once upstairs my wife and daughter waited for me to park the car @ 8:45. The upstairs hostess named Whitney came over to my wife and said “honey we have an elevator”. My wife was surprised by this as she was not blocking the stairwell in any way. What was my wife to think or assume but this woman named Whitney was insulting her due to her age & health/weight. My wife had already climbed the stairs! Then Whitney refused to seat us because our “reservation is for 9:00 and she would text us when our table was ready”. So we waited in chairs near the rest room area, and we waited and waited and waited. Finally at 8:56 my wife went back to the hostess table where Whitney again said “Ma’am your reservation is not until 9:00, I said I would text you when your table is ready. Did you get a text?” My wife said “no but there are 4 empty tables large enough to seat us in my view”. Whitney again said “your reservation is not until 9:00 but by this time it was 8:57”. My wife said “that’s three minutes from now”. Whitney didn’t just say these things, she said them with an attitude of superiority and disrespect. The server named Tyler was excellent. The food was not great but edible. We definitely didn’t finish our Seafood Tower and didn’t take any leftovers with us as none of it tasted that great though the presentation was nice. We will never be back and don’t recommend this place to anyone.

    Our favorite meal last year in Gulf Shores/Orange Beach last year; however, this year it did not live up to the memory. Beyond the fresh, raw oysters, the rest of the meal would not demand a repeat visit.
