   Outside balcony is clean, spacious, great views, and can be windy. Inside is quiet and refined. Will did a nice job taking care of us.

   I asked to be seated by window or outside. Made reservation months in advance. Was seated by kitchen door for wife’s birthday. Asked to be moved and was told no. Not good.Food and service wa goof.

   Heather, our server, was so nice and helpful. Overall the restaurant was a bit dark. I realize that for the beach wildlife you are trying to keep lighting to a minimum, but it was so dark that I had to get out my phone flashlight to see the menu and finding the bathroom in the dark was a struggle as well. The food was amazing (grilled octopus, swordfish, mushroom pasta and shrimp cocktail) and it was a treat to eat ocean front on the last night of our vacation!

   The food had too much salt. It was a windy evening and even though we were dinning indoors the staff would push the door to the outside wide open when serving the customers outside. The door took a very long time to close on its own and during this time it gave the indoor customers an outdoor windy dining experience.

   Excellent food well prepared. Steaks perfectly cooked. Seafood and pasta entrees were superb. Server was attentive without being intrusive and did a fine of job of not crowding appetizers and entrees.

   Great night. Food was delicious. Fish and seafood menu options are very limited. Beautiful view and we loved the ambiance. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We hope to go back again soon.

    The Caesar salad was so-so. The shrimp and filet were great. Our waitress was impolite at first, but seemed to be more friendly as time went on.

    I’ve eaten a perch, a handful of times, but the other night I treated my mom to dinner we ordered nearly one of everything on the menu. We both agreed the filet mignon was the absolute best steak we’ve had in years. Highly recommend.

    Service was over the top and the food was equally excellent. Arguably the best steak (filet) I’ve ever had. Everything down to the dessert was done to perfection. Great way to celebrate our 36th anniversary!

    We love this restaurant for the atmosphere, it overlooks the beach and the sunset are beautiful. We were disappointed with the service. Our waiter was wonderful, but stretched too thin. We waited 20min for drinks from the bar.

    Some of the best food I have eaten, simply, ever. There was an obvious attention to detail in the way staff set the table. The ambience was calm and inviting, warm, and friendly. Did I mention the food? So damn good. My only critique was that the wait was a bit long. We gave the server our name on the reservation at the door and were told to go to the stairs. We were seated and then after a while a sever came over and apologized for a mixup in our seating that resulted in the delay. The sever was very friendly and handled the situation with grace. But the food made the wait worth it, seriously I could have waited 4 more hours and I still would have given it a great review. Go to perch. Tell your friends. It feels like a special occasion venue - have it here.

    Dinner at Perch was an amazing experience. Food was delicious and very beautifully presented. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Atmosphere was beautiful and we definitely will be back again for dinner. When warmer weather, we will be back to sit outside on patio.

    I’ve been waiting to go to Perch for 3 years. Wow. What a great meal. It was incredible food. Loved the beet salad, loved the entree. Only issue was dessert… the crème brûlée was like a cheesecake, did not care for it.

    I live locally and have enjoyed a fantastic brunch at their sister restaurant Food Craft. I took a "foodie" visitor and boy..was it a disappointment. Her very expensive filet literally came out gray. No char and was cold red, nearly blue but was ordered medium rare-medium. The server was great about returning to be properly cooked. However, it literally required a sawing motion to try and cut it; not very filet-like. The rosemary au jus was so strong it was not edible. I had the portabello pasta. The pasta itself was good but it too was too strongly seasoned with thyme and it was frankly a weird texture. The combination of ingredients just didn't work. I did have an excellent riff on gin and tonic. Again, the server and service was fine. However for a limited menu and relatively expensive I would not go again and cannot recommend.

    The entire experience was fabulous! We watched the sunset from our table. The food was amazing! And so beautifully plated. We both had the lamb, and it was so tender. The flan and maple ice cream was to die for! We will be back, and I won’t be sharing dessert next time!

    Terrific view and location. Service was very accommodating and friendly. Food was okay, but not great for the cost. Ambience was odd -- not white table cloth (though Perch appeared to aspire to that level) and not quite causal.

    We went to the Perch for dinner while down for the month of December. It was cool but we were able to sit outside by the heaters. They had music and great service. We had Tyler and he was super. The food was AMAZING! We had the shrimp cocktail for starter. I had the filet and asparagus and my husband had the swordfish. Both were cooked to perfection. We finished off the evening with a chocolate martini and cake. Overall it was a great night.

    We got there 7 minutes after our reservation time and we believe our table was given away. Hostess gave us an option to sit outside or in the bar area. This was the only negative regarding our experience. Our server and food was great.

    The food was very good, service, cocktails and atmosphere even better. Another plus valet parking available without a fee. The menu is limited but everything we ordered was excellent. We had creamy Vidalia onion soup, wedge salad, filet minion, scallops and chocolate cake for desert.

    The food was not bad, I would describe it as ok. Nothing spectacular, nothing I would return for specifically. Value for portions/quality was also just ok. Pasta with mushrooms $24. 6oz filet with small side of asparagus $42. Salads are extra at $13 for a Caesar. Ambiance was loud and it was difficult to stay warm seated by a door that was constantly opening and closing - and the door did not fully close on its own and stayed partially open unless pushed closed. No complaints on service. Our server was friendly and attentive. I would maybe try again in warmer weather to be able to sit outside and take in the amazing view and different menu options.

    The space is absolutely beautiful, we would highly recommend for a cocktail with great views of the Gulf. The food was all over priced and lacking in flavor. We had the shrimp appetizer, the creamy Vidalia onion soup, wedge, grilled Gulf Fish and the Octopus. The shrimp was tasty, soup/salad basic, the real issues came with the entrees and specifically the octopus. The Octuous was served undercooked, slimy, and in a broth that tasted like hot water with vegetables thrown in. We expected more for $250 + dinner for 2.

    We ate here for our Gulf Shores Christmas dinner. Everything was fabulous and we were thankful they were open for the holiday. We enjoyed: the swordfish, scallops, octopus, and baked chicken at our table. Each dish was unique and full of flavor. The stuffed pretzel for an appetizer to share was absolutely delicious, presented much like a charcuterie board. We would visit again, for sure!

    A bit disappointed with the food. Had the mushroom papprella and it was bland. Also we ordered the gulf fish and it was a small portion. The wedge salad wasn't made per the description. The noise level made it hard to converse. The restaurant is ultra modern. The server could have been more friendly a little shy.
