The outdoor seating is amazing!
Great service, food. We had pasta entrees, Fritto Misto and shishito pepper appetizers and ate indoors. Place was full on Tues at 1 pm . Table COVID Spacing was still in place. Outdoor seating available .
The hamachi crudo appetizer was amazing (fresh, flavorful, and so balanced) and the pappardelle very, very good. I would go back tomorrow and every day!
Perbacco never disappoints…a wonderful spot; one of top places to dine in SF. Thanks Umberto & Staff.
Celebrated our anniversary. Food (risotto, duck, hazelnut dessert) was amazing and absolutely delicious. Joseph, our waiter, was exceptional and made our evening perfect. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Anniversary dinner with immediate family.
This was a great place to eat! We will definitely eat here again!
Perbacco has been a favorite restaurant for years. My team and I have had a tradition of having a team lunch for new hires. We've missed seeing each other in person. Last week we returned to the office as a group for the first time in 15 months. Our Perbacco lunch was our "we made it!" celebration, and we chose Perbacco specifically as our favorite place to celebrate. The food was excellent, and so was the service. We're so glad to return!
Rating is for outdoor dining.
small but outstanding menu; pastas are wonderful; pork loin was perfect; not too pricey for the meal we had
We were celebrating a special occasion & starting with bubbles, we were set for a wonderful evening. The burrata cheese with beets was delicious as were the duck and pork loin dishes... cooked to perfection. Our server indulged our wine sampling & we settled on his suggested wines - perfectly paired with our food. A lovely evening all around. Kudos to Chef and all in the kitchen & our server & front of house team. Highly recommended!!
Windy and chilly night for an outdoor setting
Been to PERBACCO many times but not for several years. Food and service both excellent. I had Pesci Crudo to start and enjoyed it—the raw hamachi was delicious. Main course was the Pork Loin, a generous portion prepared perfectly. I hosted a friend who had the Market Salad followed by Halibut that he enjoyed except for the small size of the Halibut. I tried the ultra-rich chocolate cake that’s very good for lovers of powerful chocolate. No wine but my pre-dinner gin martini on ice was well crafted. Was odd seeing the dining room with so few tables, all socially distanced. I’ve always liked PERBACCO and happy that it survived COVID.
Excellent food and attentive, professional service. We loved our salads and pastas, and the espresso panna cotta blew me away. It was one of the best desserts I have had in a ling time, and I am not a panna cotta fan. We dined indoors which was terrific. I know the reduced capacity is hard for the restaurants, but I confess it was wonderful for enabling good conversation.
it was at 50% capacity still due to covid, so quieter than the usual noisiness. angela, our server, was excellent. all the courses were first rate.....the frito mixto, the very fresh crudo, the tajarin pasta and the duck [a very generous portion indeed]......have eaten here several times over the years and they are still maintaining high standards. try a glass of the roussane from lodi [yes, lodi]....a surprise. excellent wine list and $25 corkage. highly recommended.
The food was great and the service was exceptional
Good and service was fantastic! Pure bliss! Would definitely go here again.
Great service, beautiful restaurant, but the food is overrated.
Glad you haven't lost your touch! Pastas are perfect, desserts still dope, wine selection is terrifically top rate.
One of the best pasta meals that I have ever have ever eaten - absolutely amazing!
A wonderful experience - pleasant wait staff, great job handling pandemic protocols; food, as always, delicious.
Excellent food and service. Delicious pasta, & the cauliflower appetizer was extremely delicious. Very friendly staff and warm reception. Would highly recommend for simply prepared and fresh, flavorful meals.
Unbelievably great food, great service etc etc. Our favorite Italian place in SF, always bring family and company so they can enjoy Perbacco, too. We'll be back, as usual. And....by the way......we BART in from Fremont for their dinners!
I've been to this wonderful place many times so it was with great joy that I was able to return now that they offer inside dining. The people, the food and the ambiance is the same as before so it was a beautiful reunion!
I went to Perbacco with a party of friends last night for my birthday. We were treated graciously from the moment we walked in the door. The menu was varied and interesting enough to please everyone in my group and was of excellent quality and value. The setting was modern, not overbearing, and very comfortable. They gave me a birthday card! It was my first visit but I am now a fan.
The food was amazing and priced were very fair for such quality.
Our first indoor dining experience in 14 months and it was awesome! Even though tables were spaced far apart, there was lots of chatter to create a buzz. Our Italian waiter was very attentive but he seemed run off his feet trying to wait on most of the tables on the mezzanine level. We loved all the food, had little to complain about. All in all, it was a great night and looking forward to many more dining experiences!
Amazing restaurant, you should definitely try duck breast.
Perbacco hit the spot for Italian food (think Piedmont district, not 'red sauce' Italian). I snagged a table outside, heat lamp ablaze to keep me plenty warm on this pleasant spring evening. I tried their Piedmont red house wine, which opened up to a light and fruity finish. The Market salad was delicious and fresh, popping with delicious shaved radishes to add color and texture and fresh, tangy shaved Parmesan reggiano in a light white balsamic vinaigrette. My entree was Pappardelle with short rib ragu. It was insanely delicious. Pasta was cooked perfectly al dente and the rich beef ragu was fork tender and juicy, with deep slow-cooked flavors. Each mouthful just melted in my mouth. I tried the expresso panna cotta for dessert and it was creamy, smooth and filled with real expresso flavor. I was a solo diner and was treated like a very welcome guest. Service from the waitstaff and the manager was top notch.
I made a reservation the day of and the only available option was for outdoor dining. There were heaters and because we dressed appropriately we were comfortable. The food was delicious and exceeded our expectations. We shared the Caesar salad to start and I went with the red wine beef short ribs. My date had the pappardelle which we were told is the most popular pasta dish. My ribs were amazing and definitely our favorite of the night, order them!! We ended the night with the chocolate cake as well. We will definitely be back!!
We love Perbacco. The food is incredible. The service is outstanding. Outdoor seatings are very comfortable, but I recommend coming prepared because the wind on the sidewalk of California Street is often very cold.
The cocktails were very good. Our waiter was very good with his wine pairing with our meals. The snap pea salad was bright and seasonal. The veal with tuna sauce was a unique appetizer. The fried shrimp was outstanding. All our pastas were delicious. Shrimp risotto, thin sliced fettuccine with sausage, octopus stuffed agnolotti, and fettuccine with mushroom ragout were shared and enjoyed by all of our party. The house made pasta makes a huge difference! Mille fuglie was a sweet finale for our meal.
Hadn’t been here in a while. Food was amazing. Great service, nicely paced out. The waiter did a great job with wine recommendations. We will defiantly be coming back.
Still outstanding!! Loved the food, wine and service.
Always happy to support Perbacco, especially post Covid. Excellent service, pastas, and fritto misto. I've been coming here for a decade.
Accepted an early arrival and seated us immediately with many non reservations waiting. The waiter suggestions were outstanding. Would dine again if local.
Mother’s Day lunch was beautiful. Excellent service.
