Perbacco has fairly basic ambiance and decent Italian food. Nothing too special or out of the ordinary. I think there are probably more authentic Italian spots in the city that cost a bit less, but I'm sure the location bumps the price point up a bit. Not bad, not great.
Excellent pasta. Good service. A bit pricey for lunch
Pasta with pork was tasteless
Diego, bartender was more interested in talking to a lady sitting at the bar. Took my drink order and continued talking to her. I had to interrupt and ask for a straw, then had to ask for bread. My entree came out and he never once came back to ask how it’ll my meal was or if I needed anything. God forbid I needed anything and interrupt his conversation.
Service can be a little slow sometimes but the food is absolutely worth it; and they keep you well supplied with bread and other simple appetizers while you wait so you don't ever get too hungry. You should try the Brutti Ma Buoni cookies for dessert for sure.
Food was fantastic! The flavors were mouth watering. Service was great!
We had to scream to hear each other. Food was delicious. Waiter was annoyed with us when we weren’t able order all dishes at the same time. Unfriendly waiter. Fake smile
The stinging nettle pasta with meatballs and mushroom ragout is terrific.
Delicious food and perfect service.
Great food, great service, great environment. The meal was paced well and will return.
This was our second visit and Perbacco is where we bring friends from out of town to impress. It is pricey but well worth it for atmosphere and quality. Service is excellent too! We had Adrianna both times and she is a superstar!
Great Italian Wine from Piemonte region
Fantastic waitress. Sweet Irish Italian young Lady. She was very attentive and great conversationalist
We managed to get in and out in an hour for lunch (without dessert). The two of us were were able to talk relatively easily. The food was fine. except the pasta - their signature agnolotti - was too salty. I choked down half a plate and then gave up. I had to get to a meeting, so didn't send it back.
The food was really great. I got the duck with orange sauce and that was magnificent! All the wine the staff recommended based on my preference were also great.
lunch with old friends
Marcie gave us the perfect level of service for our business meeting. She really knows how to time the evening and service. Thank you.
A delicious dinner was enhanced by excellent, attentive service. Very good at the little details such as having the right wine glass for each kind of wine and pouring it thoughtfully throughout the meal.
Fabulous tastes! Dishes prepared to perfection. Fun atmosphere.
Would use this restaurant for my next celebratory dinner. Coming during April - outstanding service, knowledgeable re menu items and sizes of portions to share among our group of 4.
Perbacco is a must when in the Financial District. We walked there from the Hyatt and even thought we had an 8:45 rez, the place was full and energetic. Amazing Italian food from a Scandinavian born chef. They have a ton of staff so the service was spot on. We are Burrata connoisseurs and try and rate it wherever we go. Perbacco's was top 2 in our book. First time it was served with out any bread and on a bed of greens and shaved beets with truffle oil. Fantastic! We shared that and the rectangular ravioli as a second--cooked to perfection and served with a delectable butter, garlic and meat reduction sauce. I had the halibut--beautiful! The ambiance was bustling all the way through dinner--not your quiet, romantic spot, but that's not Perbacco. Wine list was very extensive and they have an on site somm/wine director--who was slightly unavailable when I wanted a recommendation for the fish entree--that was the only criticism for an otherwise highly enjoyable dining experience. As an Italian, I love that cuisine obviously and Percacco delivers.
Quite possibly the best meal I've had in the Bay Area in the past 10 years!
Perbacco will never disappoint! Five star Italian food, top notch wait staff, fantastic wine list!!
As always the service was above and beyond. The food was delicious. I love the tuna salad and the Frito misto. Wonderful lunch.
I have been to Perbacco a number of times. ALWAYS EXCELLENT.
Perbacco always does a terrific job on food and wine. And the service is crisp and professional.
Went there for business dinner. Large wine selection. I ate the: Halibut "Alla Piastra". We ordered a side dish of potatoes (good call). Delicious food. Good wine. Attentive service. I shall return.
This is one of the best restaurants in SF and the Bay Area. Worth the drive.
Delicious cocktails, friendly staff and incredible food!
Have been to Perbacco many times and loved it but this time the pasta was almost inedible. I am surprised they let the nettle pasta dish out of the kitchen.
Brian is the best server. Thank you we will be back for you!
Fabulous experience!! Just lovely!! Excellent food and superb service!!
The side dish we ordered, Brussel sprouts was over cooked, too soggy. Three of us, three dishes, only one person appraised the food.
Good meal. Worth it
The duck ragu is amazing! Sitting at the bar for a quick lunch with a friend and it was the perfect place to go.
We were late for our reservation, but the people in the front were very accommodating and seated us in a great booth at the bar. The waiter was very engaging and new a lot about the food and the helping us choose. The food was excellent and hot on hot plates. I would not hesitate to return! Definite thumbs ups. Thanks Perbaco!!
The food was so delicious! The ambience is wonderful. The wait staff and the proprietor, Umberto, always remember us and make us feel like the most special and welcome guests. What a fabulous evening. My favorite spot. I will return here again and again. The experience never disappoints.
What an exceptional experience. the staff was friendly, prompt and courteous. The food was delicious. Make a reservation, you won’t be disappointed!
Too noisy. Bad lighting. No table lamps or candles.
We have been dining at Perbacco for years . It never disappoints. We love the pastas.
I only here great things about this place. I thought this would be a great place to meet my clients. But the food was okay. The pricing was okay. So it goes hand and hand. But I was kind of disappointed due to the references that I got. The staff, service, ambiance was great. Food ok.
