They do a nice outdoor dining experience. Not loud, warm and most of all, clean
This was our first experience dining indoors. Perbacco made us feel very comfortable with their clear protocols for safety. Both the food and the service were excellent. We can’t wait to go back!
Service was great - staff very friendly and accommodating! Food and presentation was also very good!
So nice to be dining with a little “class” and not out of a cardboard box! Lovely spot in the Financial District and very safe Covid protocols. The food was excellent! I opted for the SF restaurant week menu - a bargain. The beets and burratta were exquisite and my Halibut in cioppino broth was delightful. Paired the meal with Peter Paul Chardonnay which served a soft palette for the subtle flavors of my entree. Only negative was slow service and uneven attention and timing. But please don’t pass this restaurant by! Just getting up to speed after reopening.
it's great to have perbacco opened back up for indoor dining. It has always been one of my favorite spaces in SF dining. We were fortunate to be eating there during SF Dining week and had the excellent tasting and value soup or salad and a pasta for $25 each. The pasta was terrific. Our service was exceptional.
Umberto and his team are the best! Food, service, hospitality always on point.
Overall good including the food but the pastas, although they’re excellent, we’re a bit too salty for my taste.
nice outside seating area- warm and private- excellent service!
Amazing food and very attentive staff. Loved the freshness and ingredients. Everything just perfect!
We had a wonderful time at Perbacco.....everything was excellent!
Parents visiting. Food and service were top notch
So happy to be back. Wonderful as always though the ragu for the tajarin wasn't quiet as good as I remember it (chunkier than before and not quite as refined). That being said, we loved the experience.
Superb appetizers and pastas. Excellent wine list, including by the glass.
Exceptionally friendly service accompanied with great food.
This was our first dinner out since the pandemic shut down began. Perbacco could not have been a better choice in terms of making us feel safe and cared for—outdoor seating safely distances from others with plentiful heat lamps as needed & masked staff who had received the vaccine & were very attentive w/o being overbearing. And, of course, the food was delicious, as always. It was an excellent dinner start to finish.
Under the most difficult of years, Perbacco remains consistently at the top in service, atmosphere, and food. What a tremendous feeling it was to be back indoors as without skipping a beat - as though the past year had never happened. The elegant thoughtful service coupled with the Piedmontese specialties that our family has enjoyed over the years made this an extremely special evening. Grazie Umberto and the entire staff of Perbacco.
Beautiful restaurant excellent food courteous staff, all sound an awesome experience. Will recommend and return!
Great meal, staff were fabulous as always.
We were so disappointed with our experience at Perbacco this past weekend. As for many, it was our first time dining out in a year at a nice place, and we were also celebrating our anniversary.
The front-of house was great - very Covid-prepared, with friendly hosts. We had requested to be seated outside, and were given a 2-seat table just by the busy front door - not a great table, but we were so happy to be eating at a nice restaurant, we just didn't care! A sweet hand-written card was placed on our table, congratulating us on our anniversary - nice touch.
The big bummer was service. Low energy, almost sullen. No chit chat. No smiles (from what we could tell as she was wearing a mask) - just a big nothingburger experience. She never once checked-in to see how the food was, how we were doing. It was not neglectful, but definitely the bare minimum she could do. The finale was our server ultimately bringing us a complimentary dessert with 'Happy Birthday' on it, and just shrugging her shoulders when we laughed and said, um thanks but it's our anniversary (see the card?!).
Food was good. Particularly the starters. Spiced almonds and and shishito peppers were divine, as was the hamachi crudo. Fried brussels side was great. Entrees were ok. The pasta with slow cooked ragu was flavorful, and the green orrecchiette with homemade sausage was good, but had hardly any sausage on it - there were only flecks, which seemed odd given that was the highlight of the pasta.
I understand these are weird times, and honestly considered not writing this, but I imagine as people are more excited about going out after a year, a positive service experience will be critical to the success of our wonderful restaurants.
Thanks, it was a great birthday! Love your restaurant, so glad you are back.
Stellar food, great service. We celebrated a birthday and the thoughtful touches were greatly appreciated. We’ll be back!
We had a amazing experience. We will back soon for sure. 😍
Great food. Good, safe service. Would come back again. Just wish bread was served warm/had to ask for bread and it wasn’t listed on menu
They do their best to make the on street eating the best it can be
Perbacco is a very nice restaurant good food good drinks nice people
Small menu and only one fish dish
This was my first time dining in since COVID hit and I was very pleased! I felt very safe with the precautions the restaurant was taking to keep everyone healthy, and the food was awesome.
Always a favorite of ours pre-Pandemic, Perbacco has not only survived, it may even be better. The cuisine, with an emphasis on northern Italian ingredients (hazel nuts, truffle oil) and technique, has always been excellent. This week's dining experience exceeded our already high expectations. The staff has incorporated safety protocols without making the cautions seem awkward. And the food, the food...
The Duck was magnificent
The asparagus starter was a delicious taste of spring. And the short rib papardelle was as good as ever.
Excellent and our server was fantastic
Lovely dining date night with my wife. Beautiful restaurant, very good food, and good service. We would definitely come back to Perbacco!
Our starters Of fritto misto and asparagus salad were delicious. The cocktails were also good. Sad to say our entrees were quite disappointing. We ordered the tajarin and the pork loin. None of the food was hot even after we waited a considerable amount of time. And the Tajarin, that we were really looking forward to, was mushy (noodles were way over cooked) and had little flavor. The service was good though.
Thought the outdoor dining booths might be claustrophobic but they worked out really nicely. Food was spectacular and service was excellent.
First visit and can't wait to go back! Front of the house, servers, food, everything was amazing. And the little things, added in the reservation this was a date and we got a corner booth, really comfortable and private. My new favorite in SF!
Got together with my old college buddy for dinner. From the easy reservations to the wonderful pasta, this place gives a great experience. I’ll be back again next time I’m in SF, and bonus- this place is right next to the Amazon GO store
I always love this restaurant.
Wonderful experience. Great food and wine list. A most memorable evening!
