Pera Soho Ratings and Reviews
Was looking for a nice restaurant for New York restaurant week and I came across Pera Soho. The prefix menu had a lot of nice options I ended up going with the calamari for an appetizer grilled salmon both were delicious I really enjoyed my meal there and I would recommend this place
Tasty and fresh food. The salmon with lentils and the steak frites were delicious.
We sat at a table near the bar as suggested by the maitre'd. The service was poor once the bar got busy and a private party started next to our table.
However we did like the food and would return (and sit in the dining area).
Horrible tasteless food! Couldn’t eat it! The place is nicely designed but it had a stinky weird smell. I can hear the staff shouting in the kitchen. The weirdest part of all is that they don’t have bread for brunch or any meal! They serve sandwiches but no bread!! Never seen it in my life!! Never again!!
I had dinner with my friend, we both had the steak and fries, food it was ok. My friend it was disappointed cause they don’t have regular beers in the menu, we sat down around 8:30, at 9:30 the waitress it was in a polite way rushing us to get the check. My friend got angry and ask if they are closing, why such a rush? And he said, yes they are closing soon. Not going back.
It was fantastic for the New Year’s Eve. The food, the service and the music were excellent. For sure, we will recommend Pera Soho to our friends. Our waiter deserves a five stars for his attentioning service.
Thank you, it was memorable to start 2018 in your restaurant.
The food was good; however, the restaurant was freezing. They did not have the heat on at all. My friend and I were the first to arrive and the waiter was not very attentive. We had to find someone for boxes, the check and ended up waiting by the exit for both to be done. Probably wouldn't go back unless someone suggested it.
The food is delicious. Everything was good and healthy. They brought me cucumbers since I am gluten intolerant as a dipper and that was appreciated The muhummara is great. They charged me a 21.00 cake cutting fee which they didn't tell me about and it showed up on the check...that was a little shady but its NY.
For some reason, the wait staff seemed to disappear. I say this in all seriousness. The two waitresses who served our party in the outdoor garden vanished. We had to wave down the staff or manager to take our order for dinner. We were never asked if we wanted another round of drinks. The setting is lovely and the food is better than average, but the night was a failure.
Pera is an amazing space to share small plates with lots of friends. The outdoor seating let's you feel the energy of the city around you as you tip toe through an extensive wine list. Each plate of food takes your taste buds on an adventure as you dance across the Mediterranean inspired flavors. Top it all off with pistachio creme Brule and you have a great place to be in NYC.
Fun time enhanced by excellent service best described by their genuine knowledge and passion for the Mediterranean food and wine options. We were 4 for a small b-day celebration and sat outside. Small plates, specialty cocktails, wine. All Perfectly Delightful!
All we had was great, yet we asked for the NYC restaurant week menu as we had made the reservation with that in mind and they said it was only for lunch. EVen though it is advertised as lunch and dinner including Sunday's in the booklet and the website for the restaurant week. I felt tricked!
