Pera Soho Ratings and Reviews
The food is delicious. Everything was good and healthy. They brought me cucumbers since I am gluten intolerant as a dipper and that was appreciated The muhummara is great. They charged me a 21.00 cake cutting fee which they didn't tell me about and it showed up on the check...that was a little shady but its NY.
For some reason, the wait staff seemed to disappear. I say this in all seriousness. The two waitresses who served our party in the outdoor garden vanished. We had to wave down the staff or manager to take our order for dinner. We were never asked if we wanted another round of drinks. The setting is lovely and the food is better than average, but the night was a failure.
Pera is an amazing space to share small plates with lots of friends. The outdoor seating let's you feel the energy of the city around you as you tip toe through an extensive wine list. Each plate of food takes your taste buds on an adventure as you dance across the Mediterranean inspired flavors. Top it all off with pistachio creme Brule and you have a great place to be in NYC.
Fun time enhanced by excellent service best described by their genuine knowledge and passion for the Mediterranean food and wine options. We were 4 for a small b-day celebration and sat outside. Small plates, specialty cocktails, wine. All Perfectly Delightful!
All we had was great, yet we asked for the NYC restaurant week menu as we had made the reservation with that in mind and they said it was only for lunch. EVen though it is advertised as lunch and dinner including Sunday's in the booklet and the website for the restaurant week. I felt tricked!
Enjoyed a "tapas" style lunch. Great outside seating with a walled garden, in the middle of busy Soho - a little oasis. Lovely to sit outside, but with umbrellas for shade. Great place to meet friends for lunch.
Service was friendly and efficient. Food very tasty and well presented. Enjoyed the meal and the restaurant. Would definitely eat here again.
As a hospitality Ambassador and knowledgeable about restaurants. I have to say that this restaurant is one of those that is overpriced for no reason. My bad experience started at the entrance when the hostess didn't even greeted me... Lack of flavor in the food and drinks.! I finished my drink and the server never asked me if I would like another one.
