I was expecting to sit in the lovely indoor courtyard outside dining, but unfortunately there was a large, packed party in the courtyard and we were seated outside on the street . . . with a constant flow of cars (and sometimes honking) with tunnel traffic. The food was just good, relatively small portions with a small serving of the dips for 6 people. Drink was small and ok. Service was outstanding, especially considering the huge party inside. Lesson is to make sure there’s no party inside to ensure seating where I’d expected to be. I didn’t know there was sidewalk seating and wish it had been made clear we would not be inside the restaurant in the courtyard.

I had dinner there a while back and had great service and delicious food. This time the food was just ok, service average: no clearing of starter plates before bringing the main courses, no replacing cuttlery, no serving spoons for shared apps. It was a lunch with clients so not what I expected based on my first experience.

The service was absolutely awful, our server wouldn’t let me finish a single sentence. She was aggressive with her responses and slammed down our check. The food was really small, we have been here one other time and it was great but this time our portions were smaller. I would not return

The food at Pera is consistently excellent. I live in the neighborhood, and I can't think of a single plate I didn't enjoy, and that isn't easy to achieve. The staff are friendly too, and the weather was perfect for their outdoor space, and looks to be getting even better going forward. Bon Appetit!

Everything was great except the service that was 2/5. We were a party of 7 and barely ever saw or waited and he forgot about the most basic of requests (ordering coffee, ordering prosecco, a missing set of cutlery for a friend). Would come back only for the Ambience outside.

We went for brunch and had a fantastic time. The food, the porch, the ambiance was amazing. We both got the Eggs Benedict with the house smoked pork belly. So great. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted really really good. Definitely recommend the apricot Bellinis!! They sat us with enough space for my large dog as well, which was perfect since not all NYC restaurants have enough space for him. Overall had an amazing time!!

Plenty of seating indoors and outside. Beautiful inviting decor. Options for vegetarians, but not much for vegans. Food is decent. Inside the lights are a bit dim to read the menu. The later it gets in the evening, the louder the people dining get. So go early if you want a quiet date night.

Not a good dinner at all. We were put in this side room with curtains where there was no music playing at all and couldn’t see into the restaurant. The first drinks took over 25 minutes to arrive. I expected these would be taken off the bill because of the wait but no. Which is fine but surprising. Anyway, we order the apps and the main course while we are waiting for the drink and we get our apps, we had them maybe for about 5 minutes, and they sent over somebody to take our plates because our mains had arrived. We were still very much working on our appetizers. After saying no they still tried to take it from the table which we said no again to. 10 minutes later they brought back our main dishes they had tried to serve us earlier, which was now as expected a bit cold. Food was decent but not worth it for the experience. Also we had a way more expensive bill than it should’ve been. I would skip this place.

The courtyard was completely empty at 4:45 on a Friday. I asked for a table and they said it was for reservations only. I asked if I could make one and the host said sure, but did not take a reservation from me there. I had to open the open table app and book a table in front of her. She then reluctantly waived over another host to seat us. Our waiter was very sweet but the attitude of the host was really rude and it made me not want to go back. They are turning away lots of potential customers—the area remained really empty the whole time we were there.

All of our food (appetizers and mains) was brought at once roughly 15 minutes after ordering. That was the last time we interacted with our server until he brought our check. We were rushed out and the section in which we were sitting was very loud. Food was pretty good.

We had a great birthday dinner here on a Saturday night! The outdoor space is beautiful and it was perfect for a slightly larger group. The menu options were plenty for the group and everyone had a nice time. Hope to come back sometime!
