Truly enjoy the few times we've been to Pera Soho and hope it long continues its fine hospitality. Inventive dishes and cute garden hidden on a side street in the bustle of Soho!
Though we made reservations, it seemed like we were seated in the worst outdoor section in the entire restaurant. There is a huge, heated patio inside the main restaurant gates AND a heated tent in front of the restaurant, but we were seated outside both heated areas and basically on the street in a dark, cold section. Food was fine, and we had 2 servers who were attentive, but we needed to ask them for things (extra napkins, a togo box, etc) three times before they were brought to us. Overall it was a fine experience, but not one that I would be rushing to do again.
Good food and service.
Great food. They took care of all our needs
I had made reservations for 2 people and upon arriving, had twisted my ankle so I asked to be seated early because it was hard to stand. The host (who said he was also the manager) said I had to stand and wait till my other party member arrived. She was 10 minutes away.
Then, a group of young teens came in and asked if they could sit and he proceeded to seat them. I was quiet and out of the way when he proceeded to tell me out of nowhere, "Calm DOWN" like he was reprimanding a little child.
When he returned to the host stand I begged to sit down and he said no. Once my friend and I finally sat down, the waiter was rude every time we asked a question about food, a napkin, etc. Terrible service from staff, food was mediocre. Highly disappointing experience.
Great place to eat and have a good night with friends. The outdoor area is super cute! They need to add more heaters but they’re in short supply these days so that was understandable. Food and drinks were great and staff is amazing!! Only suggestion would be to add warm dessert to the menu for colder months!
Waited 15 minutes until the server noticed we needed a server. Drinks are watered down, and food is greasy, tons of oil. If you’re just interested in going to for a bite in soho and don’t care about decent Mediterranean food, then sure go here, but if you’re interested in good Mediterranean food, save your troubles, go elsewhere.
A wonderful outdoor space, not on the sidewalk, to celebrate a friend's birthday safely. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The selection of food and drinks was outstanding and delicious. One of the few places in the city to escape safely during this trying time.
Fantastic location with delicious food and a beautiful ambiance. Icing on the cake was the live music. Can't wait to come back!
Outdoor setup is perfect
Such a pretty lunch and brunch spot
The burger I had was awesome
The Bellini was so good
Can't believe we haven't eaten here sooner and more often... Clearly it's a hot spot and everyone else seems to be in the know (lol).
Came here for Sunday brunch on a sunny afternoon when we learned they had a courtyard. Wow, what a courtyard for sure, it's ideal with the trend being to eat outside and appears to be set for cold weather coming with heaters surrounding the space.
We started with two mango flavored cocktails and hummus. We absolutely devoured the hummus and I had to hold my wife back from licking the bowl by ordering more as take out (quick thinking!). I then had the croissant French toast which was as amazing as I had anticipated. My wife had the squid which she enjoyed but said was slightly overdone, but no harm.
As we shopped around Soho after brunch with a large Para Soho take out bag (filled with hummus) locals kept commenting that they just love Para Soho. So now we know as do you... Enjoy!
As always, I had an amazing time at Pera. From the amazing and polite service (shout out to Cindy) to the great food (although the food did come out much quicker than we had hoped and wished to had taken our time) to the tasteful drinks to one of the best garden atmospheres in SoHo (accompanied by excellent, energetic lounge music). I always look forward to my next visit to Pera, it’s definitely a staple location for dates and sentimental events with friends and family.
Horrible service. Overpriced. Terrible food. Would not recommend.
They asked for a credit card as soon as we sat down and told us we had a time limit before we said anything.
I asked for a medium rare steak and it came out black, tasting like ash.
Dined at Pera Soho for a birthday dinner . The host was a bit rude upon check in telling us that although we had made a reservation requesting outdoor dining that he could only offer us indoor dining at the moment and we would have to wait 30 minutes for an outdoor table . He seemed unwilling to accommodate or be helpful.
After i asked the host to confirm my phone number to ensure we would be notified of an opening , he read me the wrong number . He then asked me for my last name and said he was looking at the wrong reservation -_- we were seated outside immediately
Benjamin was our waiter , he was polite and patient . Guests ordered the salmon , chicken , lentil soup and hummus. Everything was great . One guest broke her tooth while biting down on a pita chip , BEWARE!!
The soho blossom drink is divine . Value for food and drinks are decent . Dining experience was average . We were a table of black people and felt a bit cast off in the corner .
We waited 25 minutes for a table we had a reservation for
The place and food was good but service can improve a lot. The staff was not friendly and came across as rude at several instances
Adorable ambiance. Waiter was very assertive but nice 🤣 Will def be going back
Second time here, the food was great as usual, it was cold despite being indoors. The service was a bit slow but pleasant. Will continue coming here
Specifically reserved a table for 4 in the courtyard. Was given a table on the sidewalk, unprotected from the general public - not under tent, not heated. Cold night made for an unpleasant experience - had to move into bar to eat main courses. Very lackluster dining experience. Food was almost inedible. If cold weather, only go if you are guaranteed the courtyard or heated tents. We will not be going back anytime soon or ever again. Nice vibe for young diners who don't care about the quality of food or service or seating options. No serious adult or food-knowledgable person should waste their time and money.
My experience was fabulous. Ambiance and atmosphere was out of this world
They are asking to hold your credit card in advance of ordering.
We were not comfortable with that.
I understand they are doing this because people have been dining and dashing.
I don't like the idea of my credit card floating around.
It would be better if they ask you for your credit card number when you make a reservation.
We had a reservation and the restaurant asked us to wait 15 minutes which turned into a half hour. It seems something is going on with their ability to manage reservations. There was no extra accommodation, it was as if we should’ve expected to wait 30 minutes after our reservation.
Quite ok, food nothing special , average service, nice crowd
We were seated 40 minutes past our 9pm reservation. Would recommend the restaurant implements a policy of certain blocks of time per table and enforced this rule when it is time for the party to get up.
Such a lovely space and the food was amazing. There were two of us and we split the humus,
Went on a Wednesday for an early evening dinner with a friend. They have a Very pleasant and Beautiful large outdoor Patio and tasty Mediterranean food. There was a nice looking, mostly young professional crowd and after a slow start... the service was attentive. Will definitely return...!
I love Pera Soho, however, it's extremely pricey. Getting one drink and a meal is going to be about $70. Regardless, I love the ambiance and the huge outdoor space and have a lot of great memories here.
Great atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Good food choices.
Very good outdoor setting, nice music on Monday night, thoughtful service, good food.
Great choice for dinner at SoHo .
Food, drinks and cozy atmosphere.
Great service. Highly recommend!
Brunch food very disappointing, basically a variation on burgers? But the terrace is lovely and service very professional.
Really cute outdoors. Had an area that felt like a private cabana. They accommodated a group of 12. My complaint is the service. The waiter messed up orders and overall was just not friendly or nice.
It was such a scene! In Covid times it did not feel like the safest environment to be in. The food was sub par and definitely not worth the hype. I don't think we will return. I still can't understand what the big draw of this place is, it definitely is not for the food.
My friend and I had a delicious lunch at Pera Soho this past week. Everything was perfect - the location, ambiance, food and service. We shared the eggplant appetizer with chips to die for! Split the grilled chicken shashlik salad, quinoa/lentil side dish (needed a little more spiciness IMHO) and for dessert - OMG - a maple glaced frozen donut with vanilla ice cream.
We'll definitely be back! Highly recommend!
Made reservations on the same day. Was seated outside on the sidewalk. Seating inside wasn't available. Our waiter was MIA majority of the two hours we were there. Food was okay.
