We were placed in a table with no cover. It started to drizzle so they put up large umbrellas but turned off the heaters. We were very cold. Tried giving the waiting part cash (including his tip) and charge the rest and it was too complicated.
The food was delicious!!! The service was great as well and the way that they’ve set up the patio is unbelievably gorgeous and pretty COVID friendly!! I’d definitely go here again!
We got a table inside, which was noisy next to a private event. The service could have been better, but we thoroughly enjoyed our cocktails, ALL the food, and a great wine selection too. We'll be back, but I definitely prefer the ambiance outside.
I had a lunch party of 13 and it was a great experience. I was so happy they were able to accommodate such a large group outdoors. It's a great, covered space and the food was delicious.
Just a fabulous place for outdoor dining - great ambiance, food and service.
Everything was great except the hostess at the welcome desk that had an attitude. I wish they mention that we may be sitting on the street vs mentioning outdoor seating and ended up on the street.
Service was dreadful. After being seated, it took 25 minutes for anyone to come to our table with water, and to take our order. Food was fine, but it then took way too long to get our bill, have someone come take our card and then process it. There was more than one table standing, ready to go, waiting for the cards to come back so we could leave.
Great early outdoor brunch. The menu is excellent.
Limited brunch menue
Pita bread for toast doesn't make sense, especially when you charge $3 extra
Reunión en NYC con Hijos
Cute spot for lunch
Very slow service! The waiter didn’t attend us, neither did they check on us in between the meal. Everything too way too long. The music was way too loud for brunch hour.
Hosts were very warm and welcomed.
But service wasn't good too.
Guy tried to be nice, but way of his position of body language wasn't so welcomed and ready to serve us.
And the end we were waiting to long to get our check, and the end I went to bar and the bartender charged my card.
Good but not impressed
Great food and nice place!
I had the Octopus, portion was medium but made well and delicious!
Really great restaurant with good food and atmosphere. Highly recommend!
Fun outdoor patio and ambiance! Pita bread was stale but the server was nice about it
I absolutely love the place it’s a beautiful terrace, incredibly appointed, very good ambience perfect look… Although the food is not that great. I was kind of excited to try the 48 hour marinated meat which sounded kind of like a steak and fries, instead I got a Skewer out of the supermarket with three tiny little pieces of chewy, very chewy meat and a basket of crisd drenched fries literally I was chewing on them and oil was pouring out of my mouth.
I really want to displaced work because it’s so beautiful, but maybe if I give it another chance I’ll find something edible in there.
I booked Pera Soho for my birthday thinking we would sit in the outside garden (which is a fair assumption because this is where I booked the table). Instead, we were seated around the corner on the street, behind a wall with no lights and no music.... AND without enough seats for my guests. So, I kindly ask the manager for another seat and he reluctantly seats us elsewhere.
The night goes on, we eat and some time goes by...then more time... and our table hasn't been cleared and the dessert and candle I asked for were not brought out. More time passes... I finally get up and have to go inside to the bartender (who was the only one there) to ask for our table to be cleared and for dessert to be brought out...they bring dessert before clearing the table (the wrong dessert, mind you) and insist on lighting the birthday sparkler above all of the uncleared dinner.
We were sitting at our table for an hour and half and had only been served our drinks and two appetizers. The restaurant had a private event going on at the same time and clearly was unable to serve its regular guests and the event efficiently. I ordered the chicken which came lukewarm and undercooked. My bf ordered the steak shashlik which was dry and tough. The waitress did not give us a heads up that the kitchen was backed up and no one came to apologize to our party of 7. There are better restaurants in this area that deserve your service.
Love the garden setting. Food was great, the waiter easily amused.
Pera is a Soho hotspot for the trendy. Well, that's great. Except, for the food and service leave much to be desired. Pretty much everything we ordered had a problem. The apricot margarita was made from a mixer and tasted bad - the waiter took it back when I asked him to. The basic fried calamari appetizer we ordered was soft and oily. The entrees literally came when we had begun eating our appetizers - within 10 mins of the appetizers being served. The waiter wanted to put these on our crowded table and leave it there - but we got him to take it inside and he said he would keep it warm. Well, my friend and my salmon didn't taste that great. My husband got the wrong order and had to wait for the right one to be made. Even the baklava for dessert left much to be desired - in a Mediterranean restaurant...?!
Well, as I said, the place is great for people-watching - so eat first and then go!
They’d not give us a seating outdoors even though we reserved it, they said it was fully booked even though no one was there. Food quality is terrible for the price, but that’s gone down I’m most places post pandemic. Cocktails were flat.
Horrible experience, rat in the restaurant, bad service and waiters were rude and we’re basically kicking us out.
The food was cold and eggs were over cooked. They told us they ran out of bacon but we were there early in the morning for brunch. The service was very slow. I would not return.
The food was not that good and the service was disappointing. The salmon was over cooked and cold. The steaks were dry and the chicken was not that good. The appetizers; artichoke hearts, calamari and burratta with roasted peaches were very good. The servers were over worked that night as the restaurant was very busy. Might of been just a bad night but most likely will not go back
Waiter neglected us for over an hour and then was extremely bothered when paying the bill. Not returning
There was a horrible smell in the indoor dining area.
We waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for our main course.
Very pretty restaurant, but the food was bland and specifically our seafood dish wasn't fresh and had to be sent back. For the price point, I would not recommend.
Do not skip the calamari or the hummus! Excellent pitchers of apricot margaritas / sangria
I feel that covid has taken its toll. First time there in 2 years - the courtyard used to be so lovely. Now is jammed. Can understand due to covid but still less pleasant. Also, we both thought a dish was bad and had to send it back. Waiter said it wouldn't be on the bill but it was. Oddly, menu was much less Turkish - even had Scottish Salmon!?
Let's start with being told by the host, that I couldn't be seated at 10:26am for my 10:30 reservation because i was too early. Then...despite having a reservation and calling in advanced, I was being seated indoors. I requested the day prior to have courtyard seating. The was no annotation to my reservation to reflect that. I was there at opening at 10:30am with an empty courtyard and given this nonsense about how it was full and that I had to leave by noon if I were to sit outside.
When ordering the steak and eggs, I was not given a choice of temperature for the preparation for my meat. I was told that it was already marinated and that they all were cooked the same way. When I asked what the same way was, he couldn't tell me if it was medium rare, medium, or well done. How does the marinade explain why I can't select temperature?
And lastly, I asked for tea, never got it.
Service was horrific, just for that alone, I couldn't enjoy my meal, will not be going back here again.
Awful service and bland food. Only nice part was the ambience
One of my favorite outdoor spaces. Staff is A+. It was maybe my fourth visit. Great for dates. Plan on coming back.
Group of friends and I made the reservation for drinks at 8pm. After ordering a few small plates for the table, we were rudely asked to leave by management after 10-15 minutes for not ordering full entrees. We essentially were rushed out of the restaurant because we were not full dinner guests, but we intended to buy rounds of drinks and get appetizers/1-2 entrees during the course of our reservation. Very poor service.
The waiter was so focused on turning the table around, our whole meal felt extremely rushed.
Lovely outdoor seating for NYC venue. Good food, adequate service. Would go again.
Wish our server was kinder, our guests were from out of town and ordering took longer because of translating the menu but would’ve been nice if he didn’t show the annoyance. The food was a bit underwhelming, except the potatoes and fries. The location is super beautiful.
