Had a great birthday dinner there in the garden for my son. We loved it. Hopefully they will get their liquor license back soon. When they do, we will be back!
Lovely ambience especially for outdoor dining. Food was decent for everyday dining.
Food was great and affordable. Lovely scenery. Great service!
I am extremely grateful to had the pleasure to have brunch at Pera Soho! Thank you for your service and amazing food. I will most definitely be back to try every single dish in the menu.
We had a reservation but still had to wait 40 minutes. Would’ve been fine on a normal day, but obviously it’s cold and we can’t sit inside. Management should have offered us a drink while we waited
My boyfriend and I went here to celebrate my birthday and had already scoured the menu before we got there and decided on getting the Chicken Shashlik and Sirloin Shashlik Steak Fries. We waited a normal amount of time to be seated in their beautiful "backyard patio" which was decorated very festively and seemed pretty busy. COVID measures were in place between the table sanitation after guests, masks, and plexi between most tables. When the waiter arrived, he said they were out of both the Chicken and Steak dishes and were so sorry, the kitchen hadn't prepared enough. We had a 7:30pm reservation so we couldn't quite figure out why they would be out of their main dishes so early in the night, but tried to be understanding. It was a little disappointing, considering we'd chosen this restaurant for these dishes. We did our first course there ($50 for a salad and 2 cocktails--pricey) and then left early to do our entrees somewhere else since we weren't in the mood for the rest of the entrees on the menu.
Make sure to confirm availability of menu items displayed outside the restaurant or on the website, are actually available before dining in.
Delicious food. I would recommend this restaurant and I plan on dining there again.
It was my birthday and they didn’t make the steak the way I wanted it to so I sent it back and got a burger which was delicious! Was so great to be able to eat in New York City outdoors but still have it be warm!
Went to meet up with a long time friend and the service was abysmal. We had to wait close to an hour for our food to arrive. We were outside with the outdoor heating lamps so it was very chilly as the lamps didn’t perform as they should have. The food was subpar, wasn’t great, but wasn’t terrible either. Would I go back? Probably not, unless it was the closest thing and I was famished.
My family and I really enjoyed dining here. We were worried about the cold weather, but the way the restaurant is boxed off (sort of like a courtyard) blocked us from the freezing wind. We were also worried about social distancing of course, but this restaurant had great spacing and a lot more outdoor-room than most restaurants in NYC.
As for food, it was incredible. You could tell the ingredients were all very fresh. I'm a fan of getting a little taste of everything, so I literally ordered every appetizer and shared them with my mom. Service was great as well. The staff went above and beyond to check in on us, and were just very pleasant/friendly people in general.
Lastly, although no one reading this even knows my dad, he is extremely picky about restaurant food/service (he prides himself on being a foodie, although I'm pretty sure all Italians are foodies). Yet he's been talking about this dining experience days later and how much he wants to go back.
Service was slow and they took a really long time to seat us even with a reservation and call ahead. Server was sweet, but neglected us between table visits in which we had to flag other servers/manager for drinks, sauce, etc. Outdoor seating appeared to be cleaned in between patrons to comply with covid response/prevention. Some of the dividers between tables were not stable and blew on patrons causing glass breaks/disruption/contamination to food/diners. For outdoor seating in January- heat lamps may need to be placed closer to each table. Food is generally good here for breakfast and lunch. We ordered an appetizer dip to share and requested extra pita chips 2-3x before they were given to us. All in consideration, we know the team is probably understaffed due to current times. We were disappointed we couldn’t order drinks while we waited for our table- we would have probably spent more $$.
Had brunch, it was delicious!!
Great food and a good ambiance. I would def recommend
Loved the gnocchi and the Jazz music
Went for New Years. Everything was top notch. Tables socially distanced sat in tent with heaters Food was excellent as well as staff
Not happy with my first experience. Felt very rushed by the staff.
Lovely setting - a little chilly outside but they do have heaters and it is a nice ambiance. Food and service very good.
Great outdoor dining! And awesome pitcher of bloody Mary’s for 40$! Amazing.
The food was amazing, the service was attentive, and for the price I was very pleased. Highly recommend!
Need more heat lamps during this pandemic.. everything else was great
Great time! Heaters, of course into that.
Beautiful space, small menu and mostly done well. It should please all palates. I wish the muhammra was a little more flavorful. Octopus is amazing. Chicken shahlik is good, salmon is average. Meatballs are amazing as well.
Beautiful ambiance, outside dining. Heaters did a good job of keeping us warm in December!
Good food and good service.
Great time! They put us in a section with heat lamps and we were comfortable enough despite it being in the 30s!
I didn’t receive any update of reservation and missed reservation, no calls or texts sent and got a $300.00 charge on card without any notification of reservation or option to cancel 24 hours in advance.
Had brunch here with a few friends in the outside area with heating. Food was great with reasonable price drinks. The only issue is the current heating is not enough for 40 degree weather, they may need to consider adding more for future months, we were all freezing by the end.
Not beautiful inside. But very nice outside.
Great experience! Food was delicious and the patio was nicely heated to accommodate for the weather.
It was so much fun! The food was amazing, we were so warm & the ambiance was amazing. Highly recommend!
Great ambiance. Open outside yet heaters made it warm enough. We enjoyed all the dishes. Will be back.
Had a great Thanksgiving meal. The waiter was amazing! We enjoyed everything.
Service was really good. Halloumi croquettes were fantastic. The fried calamari was a little dry and shriveled but having the Soujouk, cherry peppers, and Calabrian aioli made it stand out.
Truly enjoy the few times we've been to Pera Soho and hope it long continues its fine hospitality. Inventive dishes and cute garden hidden on a side street in the bustle of Soho!
Though we made reservations, it seemed like we were seated in the worst outdoor section in the entire restaurant. There is a huge, heated patio inside the main restaurant gates AND a heated tent in front of the restaurant, but we were seated outside both heated areas and basically on the street in a dark, cold section. Food was fine, and we had 2 servers who were attentive, but we needed to ask them for things (extra napkins, a togo box, etc) three times before they were brought to us. Overall it was a fine experience, but not one that I would be rushing to do again.
Good food and service.
Perfect place
Great food. They took care of all our needs
I had made reservations for 2 people and upon arriving, had twisted my ankle so I asked to be seated early because it was hard to stand. The host (who said he was also the manager) said I had to stand and wait till my other party member arrived. She was 10 minutes away.
Then, a group of young teens came in and asked if they could sit and he proceeded to seat them. I was quiet and out of the way when he proceeded to tell me out of nowhere, "Calm DOWN" like he was reprimanding a little child.
When he returned to the host stand I begged to sit down and he said no. Once my friend and I finally sat down, the waiter was rude every time we asked a question about food, a napkin, etc. Terrible service from staff, food was mediocre. Highly disappointing experience.
