Food was great and the price was very good. Wine pairings for Vday were $25. The service was outstanding. Its a nice place for special occasions. I also enjoy the live jazz band. I would recommend it to anyone.

We were greeted by a very pleasant server however, when making a reservation which was for a Sunday the restaurant states on their website that there is a “Sunday Supper” offered at $34. When we arrived I inquired and told that there was only the NYC restaurant week menu for $42. Same type of menu for $34 but you pay more during restaurant week. How does this make any sense?
The food was nothing special, not planning on returning anytime soon if ever.
Luckily, the service saved the overall experience.

Service was excellent; staff were friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the food was only mediocre. Not bad, just nothing outstanding or inspiring. Still, the ambience was warm, inviting and upscale, so I would recommend to anyone who's interested in a "scene," rather than a notable culinary experience.

The mezze trio and the side of artichokes with garlic were very flavorful but the gnocchi was absolutely bland and in fact tasted weird with the addition of raisins.

Lunch was great! The server was a bit slow to bring the check, given it was a weekday lunch. Great vegetarian options.

Superb dining experience! The food was incredible, I had the mixed grill, which was perfect, and we all started with the chef's mezze plate , a superb collection of Mediterranean appetizers. Service was fantastic, we were constantly attended to. Dessert was even better, and between the decor, the ambiance, the crowd and the food, can't beat Pera for a super start or finish to your evening out in NYC!

The food as usual was very good. A bit disappointed in the service. It took a very long time to be served the entrée after the appetizers were served. Perhaps due to restaurant week?

My husband and I were visiting for NY for the weekend and wanted to go for Mediterranean food one evening. The food was very average at above average prices. I even got very sick after. I would suggest finding another restaurant.

We had a great evening here! The Mediterranean sample platter was fabulous my husband and I shared it and then shared an entrée. And it was plenty of food and absolutely delicious! Our server was attentive without being intrusive and very very nice.
And that’s reasonably priced as well. I think you would enjoy it here.

I took one of my kids, who loves to eat, for lunch, having told him that Pera has the best French fries in NYC. He loved it. He particularly liked the lamb sliders appetizer and the fries. The service was lovely. Great choice.

Like the new menu - no more special lunch menu but lots to choose from. Very close quarters so be ready to make friends with your neighbors. I think they added more tables - waiter had to lean over behind us to take the order and it's impossible to get around tables to get to ladies room. I am a very petite lady and don't normally have that issue - literally needed to go back to the kitchen and wait for the servers to get by to get through! If going at lunch be sure to make a reservation.

Don’t do reviews often but Pera deserves one. I walk past this place everyday on way to work, don’t know why I missed it until now.

My wife and I had dinner here tonight. We tried the tasting menu served family style. Included Pera Dip Trio which had hummus, smoked eggplant and spicy pepper muammara which was very tasty. The spicy pepper muammara was our favorite. The bite size Turkish Smoked Lamb Tacos were the best tacos I’ve ever had. Also included was a salad and of course the main entree, a mixed grill with lamb “adana”, baby lamb chop, lamb riblets, chicken and sliced beef, as well as roasted rainbow peppers. All seasoned and cooked perfectly, none dry or overdone. We had to pass on dessert, no room.

From the wine list we chose a Serbian wine, Prokupac, which paired excellently. We had never heard of this wine before; another new discovery!

Nice ambiance, with open grill at far end. Service was very friendly. The restaurant was nearly full when we were there, but we did not feel “packed in.” Very comfortable.

Not inexpensive, but no more so than other restaurants of similar quality in the area. Definitely going on my favorites list.

Wonderful restaurant in near Grand Central Station. Food was delicious. Hosts were very accommodating. Wait service was slow, but there were many large parties that night. They have a private room, which I will remember for future business gatherings.

Pera has an amazing happy hour!! Great prices, delicious bite size shareables and a beautiful restaurant. Its also great for a special event because of the low-light ambience and delicious food. I highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion and especially for someone who is gluten free, vegan or has other food accomodations. 5 stars!

The ambiance and service were very good. We were initially seated immediately outside a very noisy room with a large private party. After a frustrating 15 minutes of inability to hear each other, we requested and were promptly moved to a quieter location. The food was average to good, but definitely not special nor commensurate with prices. Not one I would hurry back.

We went back just a couple of nights ago. The Brasserie has sentimental value for us, as it was part of our first date; but it never disappoints. This last visit, the staff distinguished itself with great service. They brought my girlfriend, who is an expert cook and gourmet, some gnocchi that were too salty. She cordially pointed out the problem, and our server just as cordially - - and briskly -- whisked the plate away. They replaced the dish, agreed with her analysis, and comped not only the replacement dish but two desserts. Very professionally done, and the result was an unobtrusive and perfectly satisfactory dining experience, on a busy night.
