Our popular Cocktails & Mezes Happy Hour is offered at the bar and lounge (no reservations) until 7:00pm daily.

Everyone should get the Turkish smoked lamb tacos and grilled haloumi cheese croquettes! Great wine selection - recommend going on Friday-Sunday and bottles of wine are 1/2 off. Great atmosphere
Best happy hour! Great service and food was delicious. We opted for the tasting menu and were not disappointed and the food was plentiful. Great deal with half off bottles of wine which is unbelievable in Manhattan!! Will definitely be coming back and recommending to friends.
Pera has been a favorite for years and it’s consistently a great experience. That’s why I chose the restaurant for my retirement lunch!
wanted to catch up with former work colleagues/friends, and 2 of the 4 couples commute to the burbs, so we made it convenient to work/trains.
Love their food, but the place was VERY noisy, and we could hardly hear ourselves. Then after about 7:30/8PM the place clears out due to many other commuters eating there and likely catching trains, or maybe theatre. But ironically as the place emptied out, the service slowed down!!! Not sure what that was about.
Have been to the Pera downtown, and it is very good food as well, and a much better dining experience overall, especially if you want to talk while you eat! So give that one a chance.
This is a nice restaurant but as part of the experience, they should be offering brewed loose Turkish leaf tea in their menu, not the tea bag.
Food and service were very good. Noise level was deafening- unacceptable. I’m afraid I won’t be back because of that.
Extremely tasty, unusual, attractive, and well prepared food. Excellent, attentive service even though some of our group of six was very late in arriving. I have already recommended Pera Mediterranean Brasserie to friends. I particularly enjoy it on Sunday evenings when it is quiet and not too busy.
We enjoyed the food and overall dining experience, but we ordered at three appetizers and two of them were absolutely tiny. The dates were almost nonexistent and the artichoke appetizer was shockingly different than anything we expected and also minimal. Very little for the price. The calamari, however was delicious and a reasonably generous portion. The entrées were all great and well-portioned. And the half-price bottle of wine was a great surprise.
Overall, I would return, but know what to order.
Delicious vegetarian options and fabulous grape leaf wrapped branzino. Pleasant atmosphere.
Excellent food! Very tasty. We would come back for sure.
Very good mezes, well prepared--we only sampled the vegetarian ones. Our only issue was that that some were over-salted (maybe very salty feta). Interesting wine list with moderately priced options. Attentive, prompt, friendly service. The ambiance is charming, modern, polished but comfortable, noise level permits normal conversation. Good for family or a date. We will definitely return.
Another great dining experience with family and friends.
This is a great spot to meet people: location is excellent, right near Grand Central, setting is beautiful and spacious, and the meze to share is a wonderful way to generate conversation. I had a business dinner there and it was just right. If you have a large enough group, ask for the tables on the side, which are like a semi-private dining room. The mixed grill and eggplant are superb!
Pera is one of my favorite lunch spots with clients. The service is great and the food is always great as well.
The Branzino is great!
The food and service was excellent . We will definitely go again as soon as possible
Highly recommend this Mediterranean restaurant on Madison and 41st.
I meet friends for dinner in Manhattan every other month or so and we try to stay within walking distance of Grand Central because we can all get home from there.
We went with the chef’s tasting menu. $58 per person. A LOT of food. Starting with homemade bread and pita chips, incredible warm hummus, eggplant dip, salads, delectable mini lamb tacos. And those are just the appetizers! The eggplant was particularly delicious and creamy. Thinking about it this morning, I wish I’d ordered a container to bring home for my family.
We barely made a dent in the platter of meats they brought for the main course: lamb, beef, chicken. Took a lot home. That was accompanied by tricolor roasted peppers, red onions and tomato salad. Dessert was a small (thank goodness!) piece of pistachio baklava.
The wait staff was attentive and knowledgeable. It was a nice quiet place, where we were able to easily converse for over 3 hours.
Noticed they also have a great happy hour special from 4 to 7. A drink or glass of wine in the lounge area, along with 2 mezze (small plates) for $18!
Will definitely return. It’s close enough to Broadway theaters to walk in nice weather.
We have gone here several times over the years. Food is always very good. This last time, the service was impersonal and rushed. I mean, really rushed. We were in and out of there in an hour after spending about $180 including the tip. I think they are used to dealing with theater goers. Anyway, it used to feel like a special occasion when we went there but this time it felt not so great. I don’t think we’ll be back any time soon- there are just too many alternatives at that price point.
Great ambiance and food. Maybe slightly overpriced...
This is a nice place with delicious food and for us it was ideal for celebrating our daughter's birthday--we took the train to Grand Central and walked a few blocks and she met us after work from a few blocks away. She is a vegetarian so there were lots of good choices and we tapped the waiter on the shoulder when she was in the bathroom and needing no further information they showed up with a cake, ice cream and a candle! PS it was very crowded and the noise level was somewhat high but I have been there when it is not.
My friend and I had a very enjoyable dinner at Pera. We each had a glass of wine. We then split a salad and an entree (Branzino wrapped in grape leaves). We also shared a delicious Turkish dessert. My friend had coffee; there was plenty of it so I had some, too. By splitting dishes we both were happily full but not stuffed, and were able to get out of there for no more than $70 each, including a decent tip. The staff was very amenable. The only disappointment was the coffee, which isn't quite up to the standard of the rest of the menu. That said, I would definitely go back!
Not great tasting food
We ordered all small plates for the diversity. Delicious hot foods, lovely cold; great way to sample everything and find something for everyone.
Never been disappointed; the wait staff is excellent.
Excellent food. Seriously tasty.
Perfectly fine but nothing special and rather pricey for what it is .
We came out to celebrate a friend’s birthday and everything was nothing short of amazing. I will say that I was expecting more “flavor.” The food was not bland by any means but some dishes that were labeled spicy weren’t and the suggested wine pairings didn’t really enhance the meal much. Will that stop me from enjoying this place again? NOPE. Totally wanna go back and sample the other menu options.
Good food, but very noisy (although restaurant was only half-full).
Fun. And good food. Our server took great care of us!
Nice place. Food was very good. Very noisy. I also felt slightly rushed.
Restaurant Week menu was a perfect choice and great value. Thank you
Service was awful and Waited over one hour for food
Background noise was just about right. Some of the dishes were excellent.
Food was very fresh and we enjoyed the 3 dips as well as the seafood salad. Tables are a little close together but overall a good experience. I would definitely go back.
Went for restaurant week specials. Exceptional food and service.
Pera Mediterranean Brasserie has been our favorite restaurant for some time and we have always enjoyed dining there with family and friends. On August 3rd, we made a reservation (#2110039442) for a party of six to dine at 8:45 pm. We received a telephone call from Pera's Host/Manager (Stephane) at 8:45 p.m. at which time we confirmed that we were just arriving at Pera's front door. It was 8:47 p.m. when we entered the restaurant, The Manager became so irate when we walked in that he told us that it was because of us that he had to maintain his kitchen opened and keep the staff on (as it had been slow all night). He asked us from the front desk to hurry up and order because he wanted to close the restaurant early. We have never felt so offended, humiliated and mistreated! We chose to remain and have our meal and not let him have his way. While the meal was excellent as usual and the waitress pleasant, we will never forget the harsh treatment received by Pera's Manager.
Excellent food and location. I took one star off of the overall rating on account that the men's room was flooded when I attempted to use it at the end of the dinner. There was about 1/2 an inch of smelly water on the entire floor!
Food and atmosphere are excellent. Service.... had to ask for wine menu. Come on!
Granted it was restaurant week lunch, however the food was not very good. I ordered ham croquettes which were dried out and salmon (which I requested medium rare) was also over cooked, dry and flavorless.
My colleagues and I have been wanting to try out Pera for over a year now and it was sadly a disappointment.
