The host at the front desk was a bit rude on two separate occasions, but the rest of the staff were very pleasant
Two orders of a dish came without the main ingredient, which had not been delivered that day but the diners weren't told. Only with a complaint was 10% taken off the bill with one free desert. It just wasn't the right way to handle it.
Great food and service. Good spot for business lunch near Grand Central.
The roasted eggplant was amazing. Everyone enjoyed their meals.
The food at Pera is always great - tasty dishes that transport you to the Mediterranean. Lively friendly service & good prices too. Definitely a good place to visit - works for small & larger groups.
Very good seafood and a lively atmosphere. Just a bit pricey for lunch.
It was very noisy and our table was very crowded next to the kitchen and the food really was not wonderful
The branzini was very salty and the two espresso were not served but paid.
Totally under whelmed. Will not be going back and wasting my money with so many other Mediterranean options near by.
Overpriced loud and pretentious. The food is certainly not terrible but the service is subpar the prices are absurd for the quality.
Very nice, upscale Turkish restaurant. Table for 7 was very comfortable, semiprivate. Dishes excellent, appetizers could have been a bit more generous especially the Mediterranean salad. Entrees were excellent. Server was capable and efficient but rather businesslike, could have been friendlier and made us feel more welcome. Good place for special occasions.
Went for Valentine’s Day dinner. Food was great and our waiter was extremely attentive. Definitely recommend!
Nice enough spot and great service, but the food was not on par with the prices at all. I’m
Mediterranean and this was average. Not a bad experience but not worth the expense.
Great food and ambiance. Nothing major to complain about but the server could have been better. Lacked personality and was inattentive.
Food and service is always good and consistent. The 2-seater tables on the side are just a little too close together so its difficult to get in and out from sitting at the table if against the wall
Even the most basic of foods on Pera’s menu are seasoned to perfection. Not a bad dish on the page :)
Plain, nothing special.
Delicious and great restaurant week option.
Great food, great service!
Good service, good food, pretty restaurant. Reasonably priced. Good location one minute walk from Grand Central. A good choice for a pre show meal with friends.
Allow one hour from arrival to leaving. This is not fast food.
Mediocre food, not worth the price. Especially disappointed in the calamari. It was dive bar quality.
Food and service was excellent. Would definitely dine there again.
great food and nice atmosphere
Very good Mediterranean food and professional service.
Overall, the dining experience was excellent.
Everything from service to food was great. A little on the noisy side, but definitely not enough to prevent me from going there again.
Always solid food and great business lunch. This is always in my rotation for lunch meetings!
Looks are ordinary, we went for a meal that turned out to be a Restaurant Week lunch. Calamari starter was terrific. Bread and oil quite fine. My lamb burger, ordered medium rare turned out to be very rare. Meat was mushy. Fries were sensational. All portions were generous. My party was very satisfied with the food. A glass of Assyrtiko was delicious and reasonably priced. We will return.
Excellent food made affordable during restaurant week.
Half price wine by the bottle was a great deal!
Excellent Turkish Restaurant. Gorgeous lamb and outstanding service.
Great overall, but the couple next to us were so close that their conversation was occasionally distracting/annoying.
I would recommend it to anyone who is paying for it on an expense account. It was very expensive. $17 for a glass of white wine. Dessert was very pricy. I requested a quiet corner and luckily got a quiet table. Service is very good. With tip, lunch for three was $240.
A nice, if pricey, lunch menu. The lamb burger was tasty, and the fries that came with it were delicious. Service was very attentive.
The food was good; the service not so much. won't rush back.
We came here for lunch, but weren’t very impressed. The burger was alright and so were the gnocchi and salmon, but given the reviews and rep of the restaurant, we were expecting much more. It was very difficult to get the waiters’ attention, and the food took quite a while to come out. Service was very polite, but may have been understaffed or perhaps we just stepped in at a bad time.
The food , ambience etc was excellent .
However, we had a less than appropriate experience upon entering the restaurant
We had a reservation, obviously . When we approached the hostess we asked for a table on the perimeter of the restaurant, which by the way was empty. The hostess was sullen and unfriendly .
She said that they are reserved ahead of time for people with reservations . I pointed out that we were among those who did reserve a table . She said the manger assigns tables . We said bring him up front so we can speak directly with him
She called him and were given the table we requested ...with a huge attitude from her As an aside , she also wore torn jeans ...fine for a evening out , not when you are essentially the face of a restaurant trying to build up its’ clientele
There is an old saying ...” a fish stinks from the head !”
The manager should read this, and quickly correct this problem
