Wonderful experience - great staff! Will definitely return.
The chef tries too hard to make simple foods into gourmet masterpieces and he fails miserably. Kale salad consisted of a stalk of kale sliced lengthwise, charred with inedible seasoning. The French fries were soggy and fried in very old oil. The room was dimly lit and the only people present were many very loud men in the bar.
We were very disappointed and will not return.
Absolutely loved our experience and entrees! We most certainly will be back soon!
We had made a reservation for st. Patrick’s day, they were very accommodating and we had great food and drinks!
Food was great and so was the service.
This was our third time which says we like it! We love oysters and they are always fresh. We like the variety each week. Mussels are great. Cocktails are unique or can be done to order. And we love our server Olivia—always smiling!
It was just a little overpriced for steak and french fries and beer in cans.
Per Diem was outstanding, first time there, if you haven't tried Per Diem it is a must. Food was outstanding and tasty, drinks were great, and our server Olivia was such a joy, extremely happy and
outgoing, Thank you all at Per Diem we will definitely be back soon Brian
The appetizers were good and we sampled the Brussels Sprouts, Mac and Cheese, and tuna tartare. One of us ordered the alternative burger, but a regular burger arrived. One of the steak and frites was overcooked and while not delivered to the table arrived after all other entrees causing all other diners to wait for its arrival as to not be rude. Additionally, the quality of the steak was poor and overpriced for the cut. Wait staff was cordial and apologetic.
My family and I came to Per Diem to celebrate my Mother's birthday and I was really excited to finally get to experience this cool new space in Lititz.
The interior design of the restaurant is beautiful! Such interesting musical artifacts and decor to see, but that's as far as the excitement for Per Diem went for us unfortunately.
To start off, we ordered two appetizers: the Beet Stracciatella and the Mac n Cheese. The Beet dish was probably the best dish of the night; refreshing, flavorful, and light, but the Mac n' Cheese was extremely underwhelming. The noodles were mushy and they were just swimming in a kind of bland cream sauce. It wasn't that browned and bubbly mac n' cheese we were hoping for.
Our entrees were the most underwhelming dishes of the evening. All items sounded good on the menu, but either the recipes or the execution were way off. My husband's Rom Kale Caesar was a sloppy, halved heart of romaine drenched in dressing sitting on top huge uncut pieces of ornamental kale. My Mother's Purple Potato Gnocchi was swimming in butter and super pasty. My Father and my burgers were cooked well, but didn't even come with a pickle or anything to brighten up what turned out to be a greasy salty dish.
To finish off, we came into the restaurant having noted in our reservation we were celebrating my Mother's birthday and even mentioned it to our server. We ordered dessert and I hoped maybe we'd get a little candle or something to sing to my Mom, but nope, nothing. Our server was nice, but did not seem well trained for a finer dining establishment, however after having the food, I certainly would not call this a spot for "fine dining".
A drink at a beautiful bar, sure, but Per Diem was poor on service and underwhelming on food. I'm really surprised it has as high of reviews as it has.
We went out for a special date night for our first visit to Per Diem and had a great time. Our server Jessica was knowledgable about the menu and answered any question we had on how items were prepared. Highly recommend checking this cool spot out.
Great vibe and descent food.
Thank you to Per Diem for your hospitality for our family get together last evening. We really did enjoy everything, the food and the attentive service and the place was very eclectic! We will return soon.
Chic “modern” decor with open kitchen. Somewhat small menu but excellent food and 3 daily specials. Bar also very nice with well made interesting drinks.
Loved it! Great place to meet friends. Food, drinks, and service were all wonderful.
After waiting at the bar for about ten minutes, we were seated at a table close to the bar. It was a very dark area. Next time I’d prefer the larger, brighter area. The food was delicious and everyone at our table for four enjoyed their meals . We had oysters for an app. I ordered a scallop and pork belly entree. I don’t eat pork, so the waitress spoke to the chef, who agreed to just give me scallops . They were delicious, and sat atop some puréed sweet potatoes and roasted Brussel sprouts . Yum!! Boyfriend had short ribs which he really liked. It was noisy but not impossible to converse . Fabulous decor , very modern. I will be back.
Food was delicious! We were there to celebrate a birthday. The seating arrangement was uncomfortably close to the tables on both sides of us making conversation difficult.
The food & service was very good - the tables are too close together, so we could hear the conversations of the 2 tables on either side of us, which we didn’t enjoy.
Our server Bryon was great! Our food was delicious! If I had to say one bad thing, I didnt like sitting next to the kitchen as it is open to the cooks. The noise wasnt too bad, but I felt like I was being watched. Overall fantastic experience!
Great first experience at Per Diem. We look forward to dining there again soon!
Nice new addition to Lititz. Food was fresh and very tasty. Enjoyed it very much. Great for a group
Service was great. Food was mediocre chicken amd waffles gravy was watered down and bland. The burger waa blah and the potato gnocchi stuck to the roof of your mouth sticky and bland to many sun dried tomatoes. Drinks, oysters amd service was great.
Bar area was a bit rowdy. Since its so close to seating area ask for a table closer to kitchen to escape the noise.
The food was delicious. I recommend the gnocchi. It melted in your mouth.
My gnocchi dish was overly drenched in garlic. I wiped off the garlic and ate the gnocchi, but could not eat the vegetables because of the garlic. Our server did not come to check on us until we were almost done eating. I told her about the garlic and she said she would tell the chef. That was it. No discount, no complimentary dessert. Nothing. I voted to finish my meal and was charged full price.
Besides that, the other food was delicious and the atmosphere was wonderful.
We had 8 pm reservations, table was ready per staff, but we still wait to be seated- another 15 minutes. We had to remind the staff that we were waiting there! Seated, ordered drinks and appetizers and entrees- drinks came, appetizers were late at least 45 minutes. We waited another hour and half for our dinner entrees for 6 people which never came. Finally after all this time with no food being served , we got up and left. Very dissatisfied with the service, the waiter knew the food wasn’t coming out- apologized a few times but basically didn’t come around anymore! The manager walked around aimlessly- would never go back- very embarrassed that I suggested this restaurant to my family visiting from out of state.
This was our first experience dining at this new area gem. Our waiter was attentive and personable, the food was very good, and we were glad for the range of choices from appetizers to burgers to entrees. Some of us split dishes, and the server was very accommodating. We'll be back!
Very nice place and the food was very good- it was very dark in the area where we sat which annoyed me a bit as I like to see what I am eating. I feel that Per Diem has great potential if they can expand on the menu and get some more signature dishes. We will be back!
Although a limited menu. And they did not offer any soup--disappointing and thought it odd. I had a side salad (very generous portion--mixed greens with carrots and radishes) and the Purple Gnocchi which was outstanding (I couldn't finish it and very garlicy, which I don't mind at all!). I was with friends from out of town. Two had the chicken and waffles with gravy. They said it was ok. But that's all it was--chicken and waffles--no potatoes. The plate looked "lonely". My other friend had the Rom Kale Caesar salad--grilled romaine, red russian kale, shaved pecorino, fried shallot, 6-minute egg, traditional caesar with grilled chicken added. My side salad was bigger than her "dinner" portion and she was disappointed. I'd probably go back for the gnocchi--not sure what else I would get, as I didn't see anything else that peaked my appetite. Service was fantastic. Our table was towards the corner and very dark--we were joking that we needed more candles so we could read the menu.
Our first time at Per Diem, the food was very good and the service was great. Great drink and local beer offerings. I ordered a half dozen oysters and since they were smaller than usual they gave me a dozen for the price of a half dozen so I was very happy with that! We’ll be back!
The arugula salad with salmon was excellent. The burger was so so I would order again and the french fries were excellent! I’m Beyonce was superb, service was excellent as well!
Our food was excellent and the atmosphere was relaxing! My husband had the lamb and I had the salmon. Meg and the other servers explained the entrees and answered any questions we had. My daughter had dietary restrictions and she walked over to the chef’s window and he was happy to accommodate her no-dairy request. We were especially impressed when Chef Stac came to our table to ask how everything was. It was a lovely evening.
Took my mother to Per Deim for her birthday. She and her husband, who is a chef, absolutely loved the food! They both said that they would like to come back to try some of the other items on the menu. We were very pleased!
Wish I could remember our waitress name because she was outstanding. Our reservation was under Lynn Glielmi at 7 for 4. We stayed till 10. She was so knowledgeable about the menu. You could tell she really liked her job. Pleasant helpful funny. All 4 of us said that she would be the reason we would return because she made it such an enjoyable experience. She should be getting paid well.
Hoping they add weekend brunch and acoustic music!
very nice with excellent service . ambiance is excellent and the food is delicious and presented well. drinks are a bit on the pricey side but they're excellent and full. try the smoky old fashion
Food is very taste and different. Service was great. Waitress was very pleasant. Love the look of the decor
The food was outstanding! The "house bread" that came complimentary with the meal was some of the best bread our table had ever eaten. The meals were all done perfectly. Our main complaint was that our table was in a spot so dark that we could hardly read the menu. I had to get my flashlight out on my phone to see my food after the waitress brought it. Otherwise, everything was exceptional.
I loved the ambiance and upscale decor of the bar area with the couches and chairs to sit and relax. The specialty cocktails were very creative. My wife enjoyed the “Onward and Upward” cocktail which she thought was amazing! The service at both the bar and restaurant was outstanding, very attentive and friendly. Our dinners were delicious and dessert was extraordinary. We will definitely be visiting again !
Food was excellent as was service. I’ll be back soon
