Peppino’s never received the reservation we made through Open able but they accommodated our partt
Great homemade pasta dishes. Comfortable atmosphere. Limited bar offerings.
Being season ticket holders for the Broadway shows, we have enjoyed the convenience of Peppino’s to the Landmark. Food has always been excellent; service, not so much. Last Wednesday was the exception. From entering to eating to leaving, our highest compliments to the staff. Our waitress, Melissa, and the young man who escorted us to our table were the best. The restaurant was at maximum and Peppino’s provided for all.
Absolutely delicious food....still thinking about it! Excellent service!
Make sure you make a reservation as it fills up quickly on a Saturday night. Food was excellent, and would definitely go back again when I’m in Syracuse.
Food was excellent. Didn't have our reservation but sat without a problem.
Our concerns were discussed with our waiter. Although we were immediately seated and our order was taken in a timely manner, we had to question when he ur meal would arrive. Our salads arrived after our entree. Coffee and dessert were hastily eaten as we had plans. Food was tasty! Apologies were expressed and promises made that next time would be better.
Overall, a little disappointing. Cozy atmosphere, and the place presents well, but the food really doesn’t match up. Undercooked pasta, waitress forgot to bring our salads....they brought us a free desert to make up for it, but it wasn’t even very good. Also, the wine list is small and disappointing. It’s too bad, too, because the place could be charming if they made a few fixes.
There for dinner. Everything was outstanding
I love Peppino’s! I was concerned when reading reviews about slow service but our service was prompt and very personable. Overall a great experience. Definitely give it a try!
Great dining experience! Tanya our server was helpful on her recommendations, the food and wine were very tasty, and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Peppino's!
Got our favs the white pizza Aglio E Olio and San Gennaro. Also had the Casa salad with chicken which was fresh and delicious! Can’t wait to go back!
Our reservation was at 6 PM. Our first round of drinks took 35 minutes to be delivered.
The menu that is on their website was not available. The menu that we reviewed at the restaurant had about 1/2 the items that were listed on their website.
We were seated near the woodburning oven which made the temperature at our table very warm in August.
Our food was delivered almost two hours after our 6 pm arrival.
Dessert was delivered three hours after our arrival.
Checks were delivered almost 4 hours after our arrival.
Finally made it out of there at 9:45 pm. No apologies from our server but we were accousted by a homeless man as we left the restaurant.
So these guys have the best focaccia I have eaten since I’ve been in the US but my grandma complained that it was too cold And she said it was not fancy enough so if you could tell them that they need to fix the design a little bit that would be great if you can. I think that pizza is pretty good but pasta for some reason even if they make it themselves is not particularly cool. Come on boys step it up, I know you can make it!!!!!
New Haven pizza was unique, clams, garlic, cheeses Tuscan oregano, olive oil in a crispy delicious crust. The Utica greens were some of the most delicious I’ve ever had!
One of my musts when I'm in Syracuse. From the amazing pizza to the homemade pasta, you can't go wrong!
Staff is super warm, accommodating and friendly, and food was just superb! We will be coming back a lot!
Always a great place for special occasions! Great food and attentive and nice staff! You can watch the chef hand make the pasta while you wait!
Not much to say, pizza was awesome!! Will visit again.
Food was delicious. No full bar though which was disappointing and atmosphere could use a little updating.
Great brick oven margarita pizza .. drinks were nice but drink service was very slow ... the waitress was very friendly & helpful we sat near the fireplace which was nice I ordered the shrimp - pasta Nicely prepared ..will be back again
The waitress was amazing and the food was good too!
Had dinner with my son. They were short staffed so service was a bit slow. I had the Napoli pizza which was absolutely amazing. The house cab was very good too. I will definitely be back!
Excellent pizza! Unusual combinations and the crust is a delicious thin crust. Salads were also excellent.
Looking for a restaurant near the Landmark Theater - seeing a show. What a gem! The food was outstanding, the service and staff were pleasant and engaging. We will definitely return.
I gave only a good review of the service. To be fair it was not the performance of our server - she was great (Taylor). We noticed that her tables were located on opposite sides of the restaurant. This is not the first time we have dined on a busy night and noticed the same thing. It seemed like the server was running back and forth. Given how busy it was and where her tables were located, she did a great job trying to keep up. However, in the future, I may reconsider going to this restaurant when I have somewhere else to go afterwards (we were attending Les Miserables). We did want dessert and probably could have had there been less stress with our server. Again we do not blame her performance but saw it as an overall service issue for the restaurant.
I made a reservation for 9pm and we were denied service because they stopped seating at 9pm. It made no sense.
Was pleasantly surprised that the food and service stood up to the reviews. The only problem I had was deciding between the pizza or the homemade pasta. I was in town for a conference so knew I wouldnt be back anytime soon. I chose the Salad and Pizza - great choice. The pizza was all it was hyped up to be and then some. The service was the best our server Katie was very good, had a smile to offer and was very personable. Thanks for the good experience.
My husband's pasta was super gummy--he loved the meatball, but the low quality of the pasta really diminished the meal. My pizza was great--crust the perfect balance of fluffy and sturdy enough to hold the toppings. Our server assumed the $30 in cash we gave her was for a tip in a $75 tab. It took a very long time to get this error corrected--a weird mistake that we could have looked past, but the time to correct it was really unpleasant.
Our waitress was exceptional - Kate? Incredibly personable even with a packed house.
We had never been before and went because of their 2 for $50 deal. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful and elegant. Takes you back to a 1930s type feel. I’d highly recommend you dress warm as the restaurant is almost all single pane glass windows and it was freezing in there. The service was very pleasant and attentive and we sat next to the in-house pasta making station which was kind of neat but as the night went on become more so awkward as we kept making random eye contact with the guy. The food was good and they space the courses out well that you don’t feel rushed. We were there for almost 2 hours and didn’t even notice. I’d recommend this establishment for a nice evening out.
Absolutely great food!
Food was fabulous, the pistachio pesto is a must try. The pizzas are amazing as well. Overall had a great dinner out with the hubby for Valentine's day!
Great service!! The food was good, but the restaurant is very small, crowded and noisy. Hard to have a conversation. Good place to get a bite to eat before the show.
The place was cooled, the young lady who sat us said I don’t mean to be rude but we have a page party coming in at 7:45 so you have to be done by 7:30. That was very RUDE
Even though they were having a problem with their Open Table reservations, they found room for us. Our food was served promptly, service was excellent and food was delightful as always.
Excellent service, nice ambience, food was superb...try the Pistachio Pesto Pasta.
We went late on a cold snowy evening and had the place to ourselves. Everybody got some authentic Neapolitan pizza...nobody was disappointed!
All good until they removed husband plate and aske him if he wanted dessert menu
I was only 1/2 done.....
Lived near the pizzeria on Grant Blvd and thought this has got to be a great place; I was right. Better than the pizzeria and definitely worth spending a little more for delicious Italian food. The carbonara was absolutely amazing - melts in your mouth and not that full / sick feeling after eating pasta. They definitely have the best homemade pasta!!! Brick oven Pizza was delicious as well. My new favorite spot for a nice meal. All staff was friendly and very kind... great waitress (Taylor).
