   Started with a wrong footing here. Came in for my reservation for two and we were told by a host to wait. Then only to notice 3 other group of people for two came who got seated right away by another host. I heard they have reservation same time as I did. The hosts are out of sync! I should have a walked away as that is not a good sign at all. Then one of the 3 hosts finally noticed us and asked if I had a reservation and I said yes with much annoyance visible and commented on about seeing others being seated. She was of course irritated and was whispering to others. Unprofessional! About the food, I tried their onion soup, it was ok. I also had their wedge salad with added chicken and the dressing was sour with bitter after taste. Disgusting! My son ordered an applewood bacon cheddar burger medium rare and his burger arrived well done. The only item that was worth it was the carrot cake. The service was very slow at the time we were there and the kitchen was way behind that service in other table was late and I heard other people were complaining. It was not a well run evening. Unprofessional hosts to begin with.

   Really down home setting, so not fancy but the service was great. I ordered the salmon Florentine and it is SUPER. I had the left overs for lunch the next day. So my rating is really based on my meal choice and that the setting was casual and comfortable. I ordered an Old Fashioned and it tasted great and was a generous portion!

   Really delicious food and amazing service. We came for a brunch and had mozzarella sticks, applewood smoked bacon burgers with curly and stake fries. The food was freshly made, tasty and well seasoned. Besides, our server-Abby was amazing, she went above and beyond to make sure our experience with Pepper’s was great. Finally, I we enjoyed looking at the pieces of art (by local artists) hanged by each setting place, haven’t purchased any but definitely loved looking at them while eating. We will definitely be back when visiting Boone in the nearest future.

    Looked promising, about 10 folks waiting (must be good, right?) but with Open Table we were seated immediately. Chris (in the bar), at our table and drinks served within 5 minutes. That was the only good. No exaggeration, our food arrived 1 hour and 15 minutes later with mine first, Shrimp basket and my wife's potato skins 5 minutes later. Shrimp looked like it was cooked in old oil. Skins were ok at best. Chris was very apologetic. If there was only one cook/extensive wait time, we should have known that before seating, also management should have restricted the number of tables being served.

    Long time favorite of my boyfriends since he was little. We came back to visit to celebrate his birthday! Overall experience was fantastic! French onion soup was incredible.

    Pepper’s is one of my favorites in Boone, NC! Food is great, but our waitress was fantastic. We had the Southwest Chicken wrap, potato salad, house salad, and reuben. All were delicious! I LOVE that you can make reservations on Open Table for this restaurant.

    The meal started out excellent. The waitress was very polite and did a good job welcoming us and told us her name. That was about the last time she spoke. She brought our drinks and food items and set them down as she passed without saying a word and not stopping. The French onion soup, Mahi Sandwich and fried onion rings were excellent. My wife's fried chicken sandwich was over fried. Since we hardly seen our waitress and after waiting 35 minutes after ordering we were running out of time for going to the football game. This was not our first visit and in the past wehad excellent food and service.

    We eat at Pepper's, in the bar, a few times a month, as the environment is very laid back, the food is consistently good, and the bar staff are very attentive, considering there are at most two bartenders to take care of a whole bar full of patrons. Their selection of local and other good craft drafts is very adequate and versatile, and their sandwiches and soup are always good. I can always recommend their French onion soup and Jean Lawson special; you can't go wrong there! A local gem.

    Food was just a little above average (the buttermilk chicken sandwich in particular was overdone and tough), but the service was excellent. Everyone was super-friendly and accommodating.

    We made reservations and were seated right on time. Our server was phenomenal. Extremely friendly, attentive and accurate with our order. Our food was delicious. We love that they give you little scissors too for the cheese in your onion soup. We have a vacation home in Boone and we eat here every trip

    The wedge salad had bottled salad dressing! The shrimp and grits had grits that were cooked, put in the fridge and rewarmed. The entire meal was definitely not worth the money. So many other places that would have been a better option.

    The food was good; however, for some reason they put us in the nasty looking bar area. Very loud. Kyle the server was excellent. We took friends so a little embarrassing. They could have put us in the dining room.

    This was our second time at Pepper's. Our first experience was fantastic which is what brought us back. This time around it was mediocre at best. Warm beer which took 30 minutes to get, no kids menu and their wait staff did not have the list either, out of onion rings, fruit cup was not as described by the wait staff... just not the same experience we had the 1st time. Sandwiches were great and the wait staff did a good job. We will go back to try again... everyone is subject to an off-day every now and again I suppose.

    Good meal at Peppers on Sunday. Wife's sandwich was fantastic. My wedge salad was more than enough. Fried mushrooms were a great start to the meal.
