Overall this place is great. It's close to the Bushnell so it's perfect for pre-show dinner. Free valet is a great perk, although we didn't use it. It was a block from Bushnell parking. The server wasn't spectacular, but she wasn't terrible. Friendly, but seemed spread thin. I dont think it was a reflection of normal service. The food was great. Risotto was spectacular and it's great that they have a simple grill menu with chicken and salmon. Will definitely go back.

Excellent food and friendly staff. We had the antipasto del giorno for the table, Risoto was delicious, Filet and Salmon were all very very good. A very enjoyable evening!

The food was delicious but the service was beyond poor. I arrived at 5:45pm, and was seated promptly (party of 1). Upon arrival, there were 4-5 tables in the restaurant, at most. It took the server 15 minutes to approach me. I was polite but made it clear I had a show to see at 7:30pm. To begin with, I ordered red wine and was presented with White Zinfandel. I ordered my entire meal in one shot...I made it really simple. The entire process took approximately 1.5 hours...absolutely ridiculous. The server was in slow motion...wow, just wow. I made the show but had to sprint 4 blocks to be on time.

The restaurant was buzzing with lots of activity and such a nice feel. The appetizers were lovely including the octopus, the homemade ricotta with strawberries, and the medley of carpaccios such delicate and wonderful flavors. The entrees did not disappoint either with fresh seafoood pasta, fresh halibut presented beautifully and cooked to perfection, and the ossobuco that melted in your mouth. Too full for dessert but there always next time. Can't wait!

We hadn't been to Peppercorns for many years and decided to give it a try in celebrating my wife's birthday. The restaurant was quiet when we first arrived but got busier as the evening wore on. Our Server was delightful: knowledgeable about the menu, accommodating in handling our few special requests and made our dining experience very positive. The food was delicious. I had the Osso Bucco which was fork tender and seasoned to perfection. A lovely evening which we will be sure to repeat soon.

Just had the most amazing meal tonight with Roman artichokes, artichoke ravioli and ricotta. Tart. They are promoting Roman cuisine this month and it was outstanding. Hopefully they continue the series with other regional cuisine

Best food in town. We take our family there every chance we get because the management and staff treat us so well every time we are there. great pastas, seafood, and wonderful veal dishes.

We opted for fish during this time of year and we loved everything. For starters we had a medley of carpaccios wonderful flavors and the octopus was amazing. Then we had salmon and halibut both were cooked perfectly and set up beautifully. They prepare everything wonderfully.

Service and food were impeccable. So many wonderful items to choose from including homemade pastas, homemade ravioli, desserts, craft cocktails, and a very extensive wine list. We have to go again and again to try everything.

Still by far the best. I love to go to Peppercorns because I am always impressed with chef Dino's. he always surprises me with exciting and cutting edge cuisine. Last time i tries stuffed prawns with artichoke and porcini accompanied by crispy artichoke with grapefruit mostarda. what an amazing combination of flavors. The dessert was incredible too Roman shortbread with hazelnut chocolate and fresh raspberries. Always an experience.

This family run establishment really knows how to take care of their patrons from great food to creative drinks, a nice wine list, and a caring staff. We loved everything we ordered and our server. I wish we could go there even more.

They have the best artichokes prepared Roman style and artichoke filled ravioli that are so good. Great veal dishes and seafood are also top notch. Breads and desserts all home made.

2nd time there. Hit or miss with specials. Very pricey for some items, when their sister restaurant offers same thing cheaper. Bruschetta was good but lacking something. Dessert menu too expensive and nothing stood out. I have had carrot cake before and it was delicious. They should add that on permanently.

One of the best meals I have had in the state of Connecticut from service to food. All was amazing including all courses drinks, and wine list.

Had a reservation for a retirement lunch for a regular customer. There was not enough wait staff working. Service was slow. Server seemed dis-engaged.

Are meal and service was perfection like always I had the double cut on the bone veal chop with wild mushroom risotto the best in Connecticut!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will be bringing family and friends back as soon as I can to this in my opinion a Connecticut institution!

Still by far the best Italian around. I should know I have been going to the this staple restaurant for almost 30 years. They are cutting edge as well as true the the cuisine using authentic products and techniques. They are the only restaurant that works with the wonderful truffles. They also prepare everything homemade. Their pastas are unbeatable as well as their fresh seafood and veal dishes. Phenomenal wine list and great service accompanies the stellar cuisine.
