Peppercorn’s Grill and Piccolo Arancio are owned and operated by the Cialfi siblings, Sal and Dino, Brothers Sal and Dino purchased Peppercorn's Grill in 1989 and they opened Piccolo Arancio in 1994. This generation of Cialfi's has added modern creativity and personality to traditional strengths of their Italian upbringing.
Sal and Dino were trained in the art of Italian food at their uncle's restaurant in Rome. When the opportunity to open there own restaurant arose that jumped at the opportunity and opened the first Piccolo Arancio in Rome Piccolo Arancio became internationally acclaimed within their first year. Now operated by their cousins, Piccolo Arancio remains near the Trevi Fountain in Rome.
Both restaurants produce award-winning cuisine and continue to receive high honors and awards.
Peppercorn's Grill and Piccolo Arancio received the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for 10 years

Peppercorn's has been a favorite of ours for almost 20 years. We moved away from Hartford last year and returned for a special dinner. We were not disappointed! The "old" menu is still delicious, as are the new options. It's like going home again.

The best Italian restaurant in the area. Everything home made and meticulously prepared. They really go the extra step in everything. No one should miss this gem of a restaurant. Beautiful surroundings also.

Top notch meal after the holiday bustle.
The restaurant was beautifully set up.
Great dishes and silverware better than even more expensive steak houses. The pastas were sublime and everything that followed also.
The chef's specials are always cutting edge.

Great after holiday meal. The Rack of Lamb and the yellowfin tuna were phenomenal. It was quieter than usual due to after holiday and extreme cold temperatures outside. But we had a great time and there was still a very positive vibe in the restaurant. Bar was hopping before storm that was predicted. Can't wait to go back.

As always, delicious. Our friend has dairy allergies and on New Years Eve chef was able to present her with "the best dove sole I've ever had!"
