Our server was great, and very accomodating. Due to restaurants slowly opening back up we had to be mindful that the menu might be limited. We were Happy that the menu items we wanted was available. The food, and Presentation was great! Tasty is an accurate description.
This is a surprising little Caribbean restaurant in a converted rowhouse that was a little difficult to find. It is more of a bar, but the food and drinks were very good. Unfortunately because of Covid the meals are in take out boxes but you can't fault the restaurant too much for that. Prices were a little high for the portions. The biggest issue was that the timing of the food was off; we had to wait for the third person's meal, but the owner(?) did offer her a drink to compensate. Other than the timing of the kitchen, the service was good; the server was fairly attentive although I think she was also the bartender so once it started getting crowded at the bar that suffered a little. Having said that, once the bar was full the noise level was to the point that it was difficult to have a conversation at a table. Also ---and again not the restaurant's fault--it was a little active on the corner out in front of the restaurant so that was not a plus. Overall though, a good find in the neighborhood.
Tubbs was out bartender, very good service am,great food and drinks..really enjoyed the ambience:)
This establishment is in the heart of Baltimore City in a well established neighborhood w a lot to offer !!
I visited this restaurant after being invited by my cousin for my Birthday and I was awesomely impressed !! We were taken great care of by Brit G., Rylie and Steve.
My cousin has visited a few times previously and fell in love w this place. She even booked her birthday event here.
I took a tour and saw the upstairs area and it was dainty, cute and classy.
I am looking forward to returning to celebrate my cousin's Birthday in December as well as catch a couple games.
Anyhoo today's visit...
Once I entered I was greeted by this well decorated open area w a lengthy wall lined bar. We sat a a high top table across from the bar.
I was quite impressed w the tv screens available to catch a few NFL Sunday games.
The menu was nice and extensive.
We ordered Honey Old Bay Wings, Fried Catfish, Curry Goat and Peppa Flame Oxtails.
Each and everything that came out the kitchen was a tastefully delightful experience.
I personally ordered the Catfish and it was good. Had a spicy kick to it. Taste like Tabasco.
It was pretty good but I was eyeing my cousin's Peppa Flame Oxtails!!
To set lunch off right, we had Mango Marley alcoholic drinks. Soooooo smooth!! It will creep up on you !! Lol
I'm definitely looking forward to return sooner than later to scratch some things off of my Peppa Flame Menu Wish List !!
A little neighborhood gem. Stece, the owner, introduced himself and chatted a little bit with us. Very hospitable and kind. Enjoyed the meals. I had the Caribbean salad with jerk chicken. Excellent. My boyfriend had the Rasta Pasta. It was good but as he ate the dish, all that remained was a lot of oil. The bowl had too much oil in it. Service was good. After dinner we went downstairs and sat at the bar to have a few more drinks. Overall a solid place. I will return to try other dishes.
Good food but a little long getting food out to table.
Blaire, our waitress and bartender was amazing, she’s the ultimate mixologist. All 3 drinks were amazing!!!
Food was very good. Nice rum punch. Jerk wings and egg rolls are a great appetizer
I really enjoyed Peppa Flame. I had jerk chicken for starters and it was GREAT. The service after was poor due to forgetting to bring my main course and waiting approx. 1hr before I decided to ask for the check. I would come back again and give a second chance before ruling Peppa Flame off my list.
The food was awesome and the owner was a gem, will be going back for sure!!!
Thoroughly enjoyed their authentic Carribean cuisine. Staff was very attentive. Must try their egg roll appetizer and the whole fish . Absolutely delicious. Owner came out and greeted us. A nice touch. We will be coming back
