Pepino's Spaghetti House
Phenomenal food matched with first-class service. Our server, Ariel, was top notch, and so was every member of the crew at Pepino's. The kitchen treated us with dessert on the house on account of our anniversary. Thrilled with the experience, 11/10 would recommend.
Really enjoyed the whole experience. Tables were kind of cramped and it was very loud but the ambiance and staff were all great.
Need some new decor. Love the food and service. Too dark and dingy
Food and service were fantastic. However, the noise level was such that it took away from our experience.
Really great food and overall experience!
Thank you so much
So much fun! Place where you can create beautiful memories!
Great service and delicious food. Restaurant is super cozy and our server was awesome!
Our waitress was extremely aggressive and rude.
In general, staff seemed unhappy and unfriendly.
We booked it for a birthday, and that wasn’t even acknowledged.
Service and atmosphere were charming and the food was excellent.
everything was lovely! celebrated our 15th Anniversary. 💛
Paula provided excellent service with a sense of humour and made good suggestions.
The food was very good and the servings were large (we all took doggie bags home).
The cheesecake was scrumptious. The oysters & clams were local BC.
The atmosphere is intimate, but a bit too intimate, as the tables are very close together.
a little pricy for what you get and how they present the food
Outstanding food. Almost made us weep. Thanks for a great fifth anniversary dinner!
Pepino's delivers what it promises in both food and atmosphere. No complaints there--we knew what to expect and chose the restaurant for that reason. The food was very tasty, generous portions, moderately priced. The staff did seem overwhelmed at times--can hardly blame them. Do you need more people or people more capable of handling the high energy requirements? No question, superior servers are hard to find--and to keep. Keep up the good work. We'll try you again in a while.
Excellent food and very friendly service. Problem was overcrowding (tables WAY too close together) and very LOUD continuous noise due to so many people packed into small space. Literally eating elbow to elbow with people at next table. The pasta was super well done and very yummy, but eating experience hampered by noise - conversation difficult and hard time hearing waitress. Go for the food but not for an intimate dining experience. Bit pricy, but generous portions.
Fresh ingredients, lovely flavours. Great food and service. A little loud but if dining with a few people you’re able to enjoy. If only two you might find it a bit loud.
Enjoyed a late dinner here on Friday night. Had the avocado house salad and linguine with clams and the roasted chicken. Food was delicious. Wine was good. Tables are quite close together as the venue is smaller in size. At times it was difficult to have a conversation due to the loud noise level. Overall, it is a quaint restaurant with great food and very knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Always love going to Pepinos. The most amazing food tucked away into a slice of old Italy charm. Order the tiramisu and don’t share.
We have been on the fence of trying this restaurant, then the Instagram photos of the lobster spaghetti special appeared. The restaurant is located in an odd part of town that feels more industrial than residential. We lucked out in getting a street parking spot across the street, but there are no other obvious spaces to park.
The portions are very large, which means two people would have to share one pasta and one main. Great in terms of value, but not the best in terms of variety and wanting to sample more dishes. We ended up over ordering in taking a lot back home.
The restaurant would be great for a large group and family with kids. More Amercian Italian style food with some creative salads. May not be the best for those looking for a high-end dinner for two.
Place was hopping on a Tuesday at 7:30.
The two of us enjoyed our meal very much.
Food was fresh and delicious.
Prices for pasta are high.
Based on the overall service and the table we were given for a birthday, I was a bit disappointed. Service was attentive, but we felt very rushed. Our table for two was in an awkward location near the entrance. (We had reserved well in advance).
Overall we had a delicious meal - it just felt rushed, especially for a special occasion.
Dinner for two with a glass of wine each (before tip) was $130
On the best spots in our city, hands down. We love this space and the food.
Their food was amazing.
The environment makes you feel that you are in Italy.
Easter dinner. Amazing service. Fantastic food. Great fun.
Food is good, delicious and well prepared but over priced. Portions are large so very shareable. For my money I will be going to Salvio instead. Service was friendly and thoughtful. Room was in keeping with the “Nick’s spaghetti house” charm but very loud.
just a "SO SO' italian restaurant. Relatively expensive when the price of a pasta compared with other restaurants eg Italian kitchen, trattoria and even Le Crocodile.
Had the feature lobster fettuccine this time, to die for!!
Always amazing. Best food and even better service!
Just a fantastic rework of an iconic vancouver eatery, the food was superb!
Amazing food great service
A staple. A MUST!!!! Everything about Pepinos is fire.
I have dined at Pepino's numerous times – it is consistently excellent in every respect!
Ivan made our night a 5 star experience
Gluten free options are very limited, but the staff were very knowledgeable and responsive, and everything we had was delicious!
Great service, friendly happy staff which is really a treat in Vancouver!
Wonderful, little bit pricey... special occasion dinner. Service was outstanding
Excellent service and good food. The lamb, caesar salad and calamari were delicious.
While we 4 enjoyed the food aspect we thought the service was mediocre to poor. Our server was all smiles, but those seemed supercilious as he needed to be asked things repeatedly. And he wasn’t there to be asked. I ordered a Caesar salad. Never saw it!
We all had pasta - 2 linguini and clams, one fettuccini, and one gnocchi. I thought the gnocchi were good but swamped in the tomato sauce, which disguised the gnocchi flavours.
Conversation was challenging at the table with the ambient noise of a busy dining area... and the sound of background music bleating away. Why? Who can hear it, and it just provides challenging noise. It may have come from the bar, which was proximate.
Finally, I was personally disappointed that only a Peroni was available. Being so near some wonderful craft breweries in east Vancouver, why not offer some ales, even if most patrons will choose wine. We did have two bottles of a BC Pinot Gris and enjoyed it.
I’m glad that I was given a chance to express my view. Normally I’m very positive about our dining out experiences. Good food, well served, a pleasurable evening. Why not be positive?
Service was top notch. Our server was extremely attentive, had a very energetic attitude and our food came out in a timely manner. We got the spaghetti and meatballs and the spinach and ricotta canaloni and both were so tasty. The spaghetti sauce was simple, fresh tasting, and tasted like your grandmother made it that day with love. And the meatballs were huge! They have a great wine list, lots of nice Italian wines to choose from and some B.C. wines. The cheesecake for desert was lovely. I will defiantly go again when I’m ready to have a carb cheat day. Grazie Pepino’s!
too noisy to have a conversation. food was ok but nothing special, same with wine list. Server was good.
It’s good food and a tidied up warm atmosphere, but it’s not high end restaurant food and it’s not Nonna’s home cooking like Nick’s (what I’d hoped).
If you’re going to be a spaghetti house in the same spot a historic spaghetti house existed, you either need to be a little more special.
