My friends and I were blown away by the service, atmosphere and food at Pepe's. We all work or have worked at a high end restaurant. The service was on point! Our server was friendly and knowledgeable and great at making recommendations. Our meal was paced perfectly. We all enjoyed our food. I had the Lobster Roll. It was packed with so much Lobster! I could barely finish it. For $24, it was an absolute bargain! We loved the atmosphere. The tables were not too close together. I wish Pepe's stayed open year round. Now we have to wait until next year for many more visits!
We both had burgers and fries, which was very good. However, I ordered a Captain and Diet Coke and they gave me some other kind of Rum. When I brought it up to the waitress it was determined that they only had a little in the bottle and topped it off with the other Rum. It was explained to me that because it was the end of the season they wouldn't be opening another bottle. I ordered a beer and they picked up the tab for the beer which was very nice, however, I would never order a mixed drink there again. Always explain to the customer up front the situation and let them decide. Wasn't a good decision to try and pass it off for something other than ordered.
We brought my parents for dinner, and we really enjoyed ourselves. This was not peak-season, and I believe the place closes for the winter in about a week or so. The food was outstanding, fresh and just delicious, and the server was extremely attentive and very pleasant. He really knew what he was doing. The coconut cake was absolutely outstanding!! I would return any time.
My friend and I both ordered fish which was fresh and nicely presented. I ordered the special which was blackened swordfish. My only disappointment, althought it was very good, was there wasn't very much heat to the dish. I did ask before ordering it if it was spicy and was told that it was.
The bill with tip was over $80 with no drinks so I found that a bit pricey although probable in line with the rest of Provincetown.
Great spot -- right on the water. Good food, nice server, great table.
Delightfully surprised. Glad to see the restaurant open after labor day. Best outdoor bar in town.
This place on the water has been around for years and always very good. But on my recent visit for Labor Day week, it was spectacular. Recently renovated and its an awesome gem on the open water. Seafood was very fresh and menu is very creative with something for everyone! Service very attention and the owner is onsite and very friendly. Don't miss this place.
