I was one of the first customers after shutdown was lifted in orlando. All gentlemen bartender server etc. Food was epic little pricey 35 for a margarita pitcher.
We got the all you can eat and drink brunch. The drinks were great but the food was alright. Not that much of a selection. Service was amazing though. The servers were working hard and taking care of each other’s tables. Would probably go again for a happy hour since they have a great deal for that but brunch wasn’t really worth it.
Opentable allowed me to book a reservation at 11:45. I showed up at 11:25 and the bartender argued with me about how they don’t open until 12 (their outdoor marquee and happy hour signage promotes happy hour starting at 11:30, but whatever). Then she went and changed my reservation time to 12 on opentable after I told her that I was able to book a reservation for 11:45. The food was NOT good at all. Chips were cold and stale, they were out of the margarita flavor my friend and I ordered and they definitely did not seem to be prepared for just recently opening back up. I definitely will not be returning!!
Sat outside and had attentive service.
The frozen sangrias were amazing!!!!!!! That would be the only reason I would go back!!!! The greeter was not friendly at all. I told her I had a reservation and she didn’t she it. She asked did I book it that morning and I said yes. She then goes and whispers to someone for about 2 minutes. Then seats me; I don’t know If that was a problem she never stated. I wanted to leave but the person I was with was hungry
Great experience ☺️
Very good food, awesome avocado margaritas. Maybe a little expensive, but I have no problem at all. It was worth it. Loved the location. Sat inside, beautiful decor. Fun vibe.
The house margaritas were excellent and the Hawaiian fajitas were awesome! Definitely a place to go!
Good food and average service. LOUD sports bar atmosphere. Fried Fish Tacos very good.
Better to go on a night that you can eat outside where it's much quieter.
We had an excellent meal!
Horrible service here!!! Beware! This is a bar, not a restaurant!
Birthday celebration
Good service, okay food. Would consider returning during happy hour.
Quick and friendly service with quality appetizer, entree and drink options. I ordered the shredded chicken quesadilla with the house margarita. Very good selection.
Made a reservation as we knew it may be busy before a show. The service is terrible, the food is mediocre at best ~ the restaurant obviously doesn’t know how to staff to provide adequate service. My recommendation is to try somewhere else at Church Street if you want to eat in the vicinity.
We were placed in a back corridor. Our server was on top of his game and hustling. Our drinks took some time and 2 people had the wrong drinks. Our food was ok, but not worth price. One entree came after everyone finished eating. Overall I would not go back but was only option on opentable to make a reservation before a concert.
I set up a reservation over a month in advance, I knew it would be busy due to a big concert at the amway. With that being said, I walked in with my mom and attempted to get the attention of a waiter. When I did he waved me away and told me he was too busy to help me and walked away. The next person I saw was the manager. He told me they canceled all reservations, but there was no email or anything that told the customers that they were canceling reservations that day. I understand that they were busy, but how is that the right way to run a business? We found a table and sat down anyways. This was the first and the last time we will EVER eat at Pepe's. I also made sure to tell everyone I know how unprofessional and rude they were. Word spreads.
Visited during dinner on a very busy night (concert and football game were happening later in the evening). That said, service was very poor (took 25 minutes and 3 times asking) to get drinks. Food was ok, not bad but not great either. Server was not pleasant. Will not return.
I gave this establishment 1 star across the board. However, it is only because they blew off all reservations for the time I visited. There was an event going on and, apparently, they did not want to honor reservations. So, instead of them blocking off the time, they allowed me (and apparently others) to make a reservation and then refused to honor it. Quite frankly, they probably could not honor it because the place was so completely jammed with people. Again, the issue was their failure to take the event into consideration when posting available reservation times.
Arrived early for our reservation bu
We didn't actually get to eat at pepes. We arrived 4 minutes after our reservation and the server told us our seats had been given away "a little while ago" because we were late. We were 4 minutes late and our seat had already been given away. The woman was rude about it too, hence why I have given the restaurant a low score.
Great spot, great food and drinks. But we sat in the very back and either the a/c was not on or it didn't work. It was very hot back there.
The shredded chicken is amazing !! It is what keeps me coming back. I took my mom this time and she was obsessed with the carnitas ! The frozen margaritas are super strong (which I love), the queso is so great and happy hour specials are the best in town. I recommend this for a Mexican restaurant any day ! I get all my friend to go here and we all love it
We requested a standard table, because high tops are not as comfortable. They only have 3. We ended up at a hightop, not the best way to have dinner, but we managed. The noise level was too loud for us. But the food was excellent, the margaritas awesome! The tortilla chips were meh. But the carnitas!! Yum! Good retried beans and rice was much better than most.
Me and my son enjoyed sitting outside listening to the music. This was our first time to Orlando and we live authentic Mexican food. Our waiter was so pleasant. The food was delicious. Definitely going to visit here again.
We went on a Sunday morning thinking we would do brunch. After checking it out we went with the menu. Food was really great. The tableside quac was delicious and ample. I had the Mexican pizza and thought it was very good. We will go again.
Food was delicious, drinks were nice and strong (frozen margarita), however our only complaint is that it was hot inside the restaurant. The front door was left open, and there was no air circulation inside the restaurant. Even in the back it was warm. Was the a/c off or underpowered? I don't know...
Food was just ok. Very noisy with a party crowd doing lots of shots behind us.
I have to say that it passed my expectations. Everything was great starting from the appetizers to the drinks and obviously the dinner plates. It's a must visit!
Food was excellent, the servers were great. Handled our large group nicely. My only gripe was that I had made the reservation asking for outdoor seating and we were placed in that "hallway" like section. Other than that, enjoyed it.
It was so great ! I love coming here cause the food is so good and they actually kept it open for us later than their closing time which was super nice. 100% recommend
If the service had been better the whole experience would have gotten 5 stars!
Regular at this restaurant. Pleasant staff and good food
Table for 8 was ready for us before we arrived. Drinks we're prompt and chips and salsa were flowing. I like that they asked before continuing to bring us more though. Server was polite and friendly. Food was delicious!
Chicken empanadas were dry and flavorless.
Great selection of food, very good service. Food was tasty. Nice outside patio if the weather is cooperating. Small walk to the Amway Centre.
Celebrated a birthday with 16 guests and had a great experience. Roberto was outstanding and made sure we had the best possible dining experience!!
We made reservations through OpenTable and upon arrival, it didn't seem to have mattered. We explained we made reservations and it was ignored. Unfortunately there was an Orlando City Soccer event in the street making our experience unenjoyable. This was no fault of Pepe's but did ruin the idea of coming Downtown and enjoying great Mexican. Because of the street event, we were placed in a common area of the Bumby Arcade to escape the noise. Again not conducive to a great dining experience. The waitress must have been new as she was unfamiliar with the menu, Mexican food & drinks. We love the Winter Park location and it's much quieter.
We decided to visit Pepe’s prior to our concert at the Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center. We arrived and were quickly greeted and seated. Cocktails were delivered quickly, along with the table side guacamole. Our meal came out in a reasonable time, and tasted fresh. Our server Erika was on top of drinks and chips, and quickly returned with anything we requested. We had a mix up on the order, but it was rectified within minutes without question. Overall, our experience was excellent. The only issue we had was that there was a street party directly outside the door and it was very loud. Not the restaurants fault, but it made it harder to converse.
A group of friends visited this local establishment to celebrate National Margarita Day. A reservation was made in advance so when we arrived our table was already reserved. At first, the experience appeared to be going good until our drink orders were placed. It took more than 78 minutes for our first margarita to arrive. When we inquired as to the long wait the response provided was that the restaurant was making a new batch of margaritas. The restaurant did nothing to compensate for the long delay in our drink orders.
The food arrived well before the drinks. I’d recommend the Shrimp Tacos!
