Peohe's - Coronado Waterfront Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Very nice special occasion restaurant. Celebrated our anniversary which was acknowledged with a card and a desert. Service had just the right balance...attentive without being overbearing. Both our meals were well prepared and delicious. We enjoyed our evening at Peohe's.
The food was excellent and the views. We were disappointed because we felt as if we were inconveniencing the floor manager and server. It was supposed to be a special occasion for not 1 but 2 birthdays in my family and unfortunately that experience was not what it should have been. Will likely not return
We loved it so much, we came back the very next night on our San Diego trip. We ate in the enclosed patio room which puts you right over the water looking at the lights of San Diego. Magical! Great servers and management. Great food and Pomegranate Martini ..the best!! Don’t miss this jewel in the wonderful San Diego area.
This is one of our go to restaurants for years. The view back to the city is spectacular.
We also like that the menu has stayed consistently the same and the service is usually
good. And although i usually don't eat dessert, at this restaurant, I make an exception.
Leave room for the Lava cake desert especially if you are a chocolate lover!!
It was very nice. They put us at a window table. It is always good food. Service is always slow there that I live in Coronado and I anticipate that. The only disappointment was we sat next to another table full of loud People. After they checked out and left it was very nice
We had reservations at 7PM and were not seated until 7:30 even though there was not much of a crowd. The busboy told us the night had stated off slow and two of the servers were allowed to go home. My date's filet was cooked correctly, but was chewy. Our server was the only one we saw. The bartender forgot our waters we ordered while waiting for our table.
The place is super nice, our waitress was very nice and took really good car of my girlfriend an I.
We were celebrating New years. My Girlfriends complain is that the women's restroom was super dirty with paper all over the place and no toilet paper. She was very disappointed about that. My Salmon plate was very bland, with no taste. My GF also said thta it looked un cooked. It was just not a good plate to eat. To end the night we ordered coffee and it tasted burned.
One positive is that MY GF really enjoyed her seafood plate.
Peohe’s has a nice setting but beyond that I am disappointed and it is overpriced for what you get. I ordered a sushi roll and was very underwhelmed. It was mostly rice and bland. My husband, friends, and I went on New Year’s and our server apologized for how busy they were. I appreciated that but it didn’t excuse how long it took to get drinks (35 minutes) and the fact that no one cleared our table and we were left sitting with them until our server asked if we wanted our checks. Frustrating to spend a holiday that way. I was a server for several years so I know this happens but on a holiday and for the price point, I would expect more.
Service horrid. Had to wait at front door for our reservation table to be ‘ready’. When seated noticed that at least half the tables were empty.! Had to flag down waiter to take our order and get Water. Had to go up to kitchen area to ask for check. This restaurant is very understaffed. Food meh at best. Prices high...a tourist trap at best!
Love atmosphere and views! Great for special occasions , dates, special times. Little expensive.
Recommend and is best for evening dinning, makes atmosphere and view be even more wonderful. City lights at night makes the place so special. Great service, fresh fresh seafood! Never get tired of this special place!
Our server Thomas was amazing! All of his suggestions were wonderful from the Pupu Platter to the Crab filled Shrimp. The view was amazing, we were there to celebrate our 28th anniversary and they gave us a wonderful card signed by the staff and a personalized menu.. The Hot Chocolate Lava cake sealed the evening as a great place to enjoy your special occasion..
We made the mistake of dining here on Christmas. We were seated 45 minutes after our reservation time. We had a table next to the kitchen. Two waitresses slipped and fell while we dined. Our two courses had a huge delay between them. Food was good but I’d never go back on a holiday.
Awful! Had a 630 reservation and was not seated until 730. Of the 6 fish on the menu they were already out of 2 of them. Ordered salmon and it was over cooked and salty. Sent it back and did not get anything else and was still charged for the meal until we asked for the manager. The absolute WORST Christmas dinner ever. Emailed the restaurant immediately after and corporate and never got any response. Despite the fact that other Landrys restaurants have been good in the past, I will never visit or suggest one again.
We had reservations for 6:15 pm and we were finally seated at 8:00 pm , not sure what the point of the reservation was for! We realize it was Christmas, but come on!! Bar seeemed really under staffed , took forever to get a drink while waiting for our table . Once we finally ordered our food it was brought out cold and they had substituted certain food items for things we didn't order and were told "they ran out" but we were never informed. Over all it was pretty bad and we would never go back . Food was mediocre at best .
Although the view is BEAUTIFUL
