Had a lovely evening. The food was all delicious and the service was great. Everyone who worked there was extremely nice and attentive. We will definitely back. A charming neighborhood restaurant.

Lovely neighborhood place with a cozy bar and sumptuous dining room. Curtained nooks make it ideal for a date night. While the lighting was low, we figured it made us more attractive and they did provide flashlights to read the menu. It was easy to have a nice conversation as it wasn't very noisy. The food was good and reasonably priced. The cocktails were outstanding.

Great service and the food was delicious. All of the dishes were well seasoned and flavorful. The hostess made great recommendations regarding both food and wine to compliment certain dishes. The interior is also very unique with private cabanas for more intimacy if dining with a significant other.

I have been to Penumbra several times and it is always delicious! I highly recommend any of the shrimp dishes, the scallops and the lobster - they are all great! This is a good spot to go for dates or with family. Filling meals for the prices and all of the dishes are so flavorful. Logan Square has so many great restaurants and Penumbra does not disappoint!

This is such a great addition to Logan Square! Unassuming decor and space, the front is the cozy/loungey bar area then you walk through a threshold and enter the dining room. The food was absolutely delicious (my daughter had the steak and I had the chicken with herb goat cheese cream), the drinks (coconut mojito and caipirinha) were very tasty and well balanced/mixed, the flan was also delicious (a bit of a butterscotch flavor to it). And prices are neighborhood friendly / reasonable. Can't wait to go back!
