    The restaurant, which is relatively new, was very nice. Well-appointed. Friendly and skilled service. We both had the halibut. It was excellent. So was the burrata appetizer, which was accompanied by mandarin oranges. I was skeptical, but the pairing was very good. We were disappointed in the predecessor restaurant. But Penny Flower is worth a visit. We will return.

    The service was prompt. The watermelon crudo appetizer was a good bite with some interesting flavors. However, neither my husband nor I enjoyed our mains. The mushroom lasagna was over salted and the chicken was fatty and unappetizing. At $14, the Caesar salad seemed overpriced for the 3 wedges you were given. We liked the aesthetic of the restaurant, but the music choices didn’t seem to fit the same vibe. We found this restaurant listed on “Up and Coming” restaurants in Cincinnati, and were excited to try it because of the chef’s CV. But, clearly they have some work to do to live up to that expectation and reputation.

    We scheduled a reservation ahead of time to celebrate our anniversary after we heard good things about their food but once we showed up we were shown to our table then blatantly ignored by every waiter. It was weird tbh they just walked by us for 20 minutes trying not to make eye contact no one even tried to bring us water. We left after being looked past for 20 minutes and ended up at Rosie’s around the corner 10/10 recommend it was AMAZING and the staff was awesome you should totally pick them over this place. Totally disappointed I expected better

    The food was better than expected complex and complementary flavors! We ordered a couple appetizers they are large enough to share. The halibut and Beef/ beets cooked in beef tallow was our favorite! Be back sooner than later

    All was generally good but after mentioning several times that we had no time constraints, our server was at our table every 5 minutes to move us along. We had cocktails, appetizers, and entrees and we were paying our bill 1 hour and 5 minutes from the time we walked in. Felt very rushed.

    I’m generally weary of hotel restaurants but this one made me rethink that. Great good, awesome cocktails and excellent service.

    First visit to pennyflowe and it was delicious. Accompaniments with entrees not your standard which I loved.
