Girls trip and bday celebration and this place was phenomenal. From the service to the drinks to the food. Can’t say enough good things and not over priced. Definitely check it out!!
We enjoyed our brunch experience at Pemrose, especially the bottomless beverage! The service was excellent!
Wedding dress shopping!
Appetizers were succulent( wings, bread and cesear salads). The water was perfect. I ordered the teriyaki salmon. My 5 guests were blown away. The service was superb and professional. Highly recommend . One of the best secrets of the gulch. I love it there.
Came for a Birthday dinner during an Annual Girl’s Trip. Our service and meal was wonderful.
Delicious food and drinks. Amazing service
Server was fantastic - wish I remembered his name.
The menu was very appealing but the food was not the quality that I expected given the other reviews. The raw oysters were good but the oysters Rockefeller were a big disappointment - tasteless and overwhelmed by bread crumbs. The crab cakes, although nicely presented on a bed of fresh lettuce varieties were like deep fried hockey pucks and not served with a sauce. The salads were fine. The wait staff were attentive and the atmosphere had casual ambiance but I doubt this restaurant will survive without making improvements with the recipes and kitchen staff.
Always excellent service and the oysters are on point!
Plan on needing 10-15 min to get through the initial valet experience; you’ll be seated late; and the coordination of your dish delivery may or may not be what you expect
My girlfriend and I had a reservation here the day after Valentine's day, which was on Saturday at 6:45pm. Of course, it was busy. We ordered and it took almost an hour to get our food. When it came out, it was cold. We sent it back and it was as if they put it in the microwave for 30 seconds. We told the server, but were disgusted and ate it because we were so hungry. The food did taste fairly well even lukewarm. The couple next to us had the same thing happen to them and the manager came over and comped their entire meal.
After getting a full bill, we did get a free desert to share for our troubles. Wow! Also the portions are very small at Pemrose. We will not be back.
We tried Pemrose from a friend‘s opinion. I’m not a professional chef, but I cook all the time, and entertain. The SERVICE WAS PERFECT! Here are my issues, shrimp hush puppies (lacking shrimp and taste), tequila salmon (would never ever eat again), my wife’s lobster pasta perfect!! The oysters we had reminded minded me of New Brunswick, perfect!! The Chai cheesecake was awesome. Coffee was great and the drink selection was good.
It was really slow service
Our server (Doug) was great. We came on Valentine’s Day and he was very attentive to us throughout the evening. He also took some great pictures of me and my wife which was a nice way to end the night.
We were in from CA to enjoy Nashville for a few days. We had dinner there for Valentines Day. It was a terrible day, in which my phone was lost, and hacked and I lost all my money in my accounts. We decided to still go out to dinner to finish the day on a better note. I shared this with the hostess and she sat us at a lovely table. The Beausoliel oysters were delicious with the complimentary champagne. We ordered the Surf and Turf to share along with the Cherries Jubilee. The steak, lobster and mashed potatoes were wonderful, the green beans seemed a bit over done. The dessert was lovely. The events of the day melted as we had a chance to relax and enjoy the moment. At the end of the meal the GM came to the table and told us that he had heard from the hostess of the day we had. He comped our meal to improve our day and hoped that it was just their way to say that Nashville isn't all bad! What an amazing gesture!
Calamari was probably the best in Nashville, but I choose this restaurant because of the Oysters. The Oysters did not meet expectations. The reviews for this place made it out to be the best Oysters in town. Either I am just used to great Oysters or everybody else in town just doesn't know what to expect. The restaurant was clean and the staff friendly. We were sat right at the time for our reservation. The food and drinks are way over priced for what the place offers. $26 for a piece of Salmon that would cost $4 at the supermarket. $32 for a dish with Lobster claw meat. Beers that would cost $3 less at the place next door. The food was good for what it was but the value is definitely not there. Will not be my first choice when coming back to the area.
We went to Pemrose for our Valentine’s Day Dinner. It was such an amazing experience. The staff was so tentative and knowledgeable. The food was off the charts, so delicious. I ordered a drink called “have fun” and it was so unique as well as delicious.
Food was overpriced and portions were tiny. The salmon was cold. I would not recommend this restaurant.
The food was good, Doug our server was great! It was a little loud and a little pricey. Glad we went once.
Went for Valentine’s Day. The menu looked great. Started off with some great drinks. Service was very friendly. Meals were good but mine was waaaay spicy and I love spicy. Too many Fresno peppers. We had a long wait for our meal so we were comped dessert, which was nice. We never got her leftover lobster scampi we asked for but oh well. I would def come back though.
Small amounts of food for high price. We went in Valentines Day so there was a limited menu. We started with oysters and calamari - the oysters were delicious but $30/dozen. The calamari was not good - portion size was good but it was chewy, lots of breading, and sauce was inedible - basically it tasted like straight hoisin sauce. The prime rib was excellent but the salmon was as just ok - $28 woth literally just a small piece of salmon and sauce - nothing served with it. After dinner we had to go pick up some BBQ because our boys were still hungry.
The food was very good, cocktails were amazing and creative. Very nice atmosphere, it was pretty quiet but we had an early dinner because of a show at Bridgestone so they weren’t busy yet. There is something for everyone on the menu, although me being gluten free there were not as many options as I hoped. Portions were a nice size, not huge as to overfill but enough to clench your appetite. Definitely a place I would recommend, and it was a very easy walk to Bridgestone of five minutes so especially nice if you have a show to get to after.
Oysters and lobster are a MUST!!!!!!!
Food was excellent. Service was great. Will be back.
Excellent - plan to return
Food was excellent. Decor and atmosphere very nice.
Nice vibe to the place. Upscale casual. Looks like it will be even better in nice weather.
Food was tasty. I enjoyed the salmon and my wife really enjoyed the chowder. The oysters were spot on.
Service was top notch.. we will definitely be back.
We visited for a quiet dinner for 2. Our service was excellent. The food was outstanding! Would strongly recommend.
We had phenomenal service and the food was incredible! One member in our group needed gluten free accommodations and the staff went out of their way to make sure we were accommodated. The server had a great balance of checking in on us without interrupting our conversation.
The brussel sprouts were so good, my mouth is watering thinking about them. Salmon was cooked perfectly and the presentation of all the dishes was great. Will definitely be going back.
Detail to service was excellent. Food was great too!
Birthday dinner was delicious
Went Sunday for my wife and I I anniversary, we decided on brunch. They were doing a brunch buffet, and honestly I was not to excited about it, boy was I wrong. Everything and I mean everything was absolutely delicious, and the service was excellent. The whole team's was great. You would think it's a buffet how much does server really have to do? Pemrose was busy busy and they did not miss a beat. The Buffett was constantly being restock with food and clean plates, every service person checked on us to make sure we had a great experience, weather it was removing plates or refilling coffee and bottomless mimosa. If anyone from penrose reads this Thank you.
We arrived 15 mins before our reservation and were sat immediately. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about their selections, very responsive and worked at our time frame! No pressure!
Doug was our waiter and he did a great job. Blue Point oysters, Caesar salad and chocolate creme brûlée dessert were excellent. Tequila salmon was good and temp was hot, but did not find any cotija cheese. I had the steak with chimichurri sauce and frites. Steak was cooked medium rare as ordered, had good flavor, but may have cooled some waiting on the salmon. Otherwise had good flavor. The chocolate creme brûlée was excellent and is a top recommendation if you’re having dessert.
There were 4 of us dining. 2 of us started with the bisque which was outstanding. The other starter was the artichoke dip which was gobbled up pretty quickly. 2 of us had the filet mignon. one was medium rare and the other was medium and both were cooked to perfection and butter tender and tasty. The other entrees were the ahi tuna and the kale salad with grilled shrimp which were both delicious. Our server Abby was congenial and attentive. Restaurant is highly recommended.
Our young waiter was fabulous!! Sean. The oysters on the half were terrific - overall the ambience, high quality of the food made this the top dinner we had in Nashville!!!
We arrived to for our reservation and did not know what to expect when were not immediately greeted due to an empty host stand and after looking around trying to figure things out for a few minutes, we finally got greeted as we were planning on walking out. Thankfully, the service was great despite what we thought was going to be a bad experience. The food was ok. I had the tuna and my husband had the steak frites. We both weren’t really impressed. I told my boss about our experience and he was shocked so maybe it was an off night. I can’t say for sure if we would visit again but it was definitely a disappointment as we were celebrating my husband’s birthday.
Good was not good
