One of my faves ...never disappoints. Thank you for another wonderful dining experience.
We had a wonderful dinner as always. They had live music that was exceptional and an added bonus.
We really enjoy the food at Pelican Cafe. When we were in the area for a week last winter we went twice. We were back in the area for a week and once again enjoyed a great meal, plentiful food but this time the noise was very loud. The noise level bothered us but the food was outstanding!
Have been here twice on vacation.
First time it was very good.
Second time it was not.
There was a big party in other room.
There were 4 tables in the other room which had to wait over an hour to be served.
The waiter was very cordial-But the owner was quite rude.
. At one point one of the people at the 4 tables complained very strongly- they were given free meals- which everyone heard the owner say.
The rest of us were not compensated in any way.
Very poorly handled.
Think twice before eating there!!
Our sincere apologies. The owner Mark is hearing impaired from his time in the US Navy as Flight Controller on the USS Kitty Hawk. He sometimes talks loud because he can't hear himself. Regardless - he was just trying to make everyone happy. The large party arrived an hour later than expected which makes it difficult for the Kitchen to keep up. We always try our very best to make everyone happy - so I hope you will forgive us. Regards, Karen & Mark Frangione
Our first visit. Loved it. Will be back during the week.
What a great place! The moment we pulled in we noticed what pride is taken by the ownership to present such a clean and welcoming restaurant. We sat outside on a cool and rainy night but we felt like we were sitting under the a beautiful clear, starlit sky thanks to cleverly lit awning. Our server Alex was VERY knowledgeable about the menu offerings and explained the specials in such a way that you couldn’t resist trying them. He was the perfect balance of attentiveness and kindness without being too much. The food runners were also VERY good! And when the owner/chef Mark visits the dining rooms what a pleasure it is to see how the regular patrons were so exited to see and greet him. We need to become “regulars” !
Wonderful dinner. Broccoli soup was excellent. Everything including the service was superb.
We love the Service, Ambiance and Food. Each one is special in its own way!! And every time I dine here, the owner and manager stop by the table and make sure all is fine!
Half of our table was very satisfied with the food. Best sole I have ever had. Recommend you ask what their most popular dishes are before ordering. Pricing indicates they really do like their own food.
Great food, great atmosphere! Our waiter, Curt was awesome! We’ll be back!
Valentines day was excellent. We will be back. Like a small inn
Valentine’s Day. Music very good
Outstanding Valentine’s Day dinner. Filet of sole was excellent. Superb service. Restaurant is an old home, so it is very comfortable. Nice selection of wine. Great service. The only down side is that it was our 30th wedding anniversary. We had noted on Open Table reservation and when restaurant called to confirm. The only acknowledgement we received was a small Happy Anniversary napkin left on table... a bit disappointing.
Been here several times, with a 50/50 chance of being happy. This time, not a good experience. My dinner of salmon was horrible. Smallest piece of salmon I every had....very overcooked and tasteless, as were the accompaniments of dry spinach and roasted potatoes. I took about 3 bites of my meal and left the rest. My husband said his dinner of chicken marsala was good.
Our waiter never came over once our dinner was put down by other wait staff, to check on us to see how our food was. He never showed up until our dinner plates were taken away, and to only ask if we wanted dessert. We said no, so he gave us check. Still never asked us how dinner was.
Really disappointed as Pelican Cafe can be such a charming place.
Another wonderful meal with excellent service from Alex.
Best restaurant in Palm Beach. We have been dining at Pelican for over 10 years. Always amazing.
Great owner chef! Service was outstanding
My wife and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary at the Pelican Cafe!! From the moment we entered the restaurant until we left we were treated like family!! Mark the owner was amazing. The service at the bar and table was outstanding. If you want to have a terrific meal with exceptional service and quaint atmosphere the Pelican Cafe should be your choice!! Highly recommended!!!
Dinner was excellent. Had the Chicken Parmesan and the service was outstanding.
Love the place and the service, food was just OK this time. Not sure why, seemed a bit off.
Music was way to loud for a conversation. Not going back on a Tuesday.
The breakfast options are amazing. We all enjoyed our meals.
Went to dinner with friends on a "just because" occasion. We originally were five then dropped down to four so when we arrived we gave up one setting as we sat down. As we were being served our starters/appetizers/drinks, of course friend number five shows up. The manager for the evening got her settled in and brought her a bowl of lobster bisque on the house just so she wouldn't feel left out while we nibbled. Altogether, we enjoyed the wedge salad and the lobster bique, veal medallions, grilled salmon and braised short ribs. All were very tasty. Unfortunately, after that no one had room for dessert. We will definitely be returning to try other items on the menu and the dessert.
Hostess were friendly and professional. Wess our waiter was very professional and well spoken. Service was prompt and GM came over to check on us. Ambiance was quaint. We ordered carpaccio but was forgotten. Veal chop and rack of lamb were very good. Cheesecake for dessert was very light and refreshing but Espresso never came. Overall good just a few mistakes.
Excellent dining experience for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Doesnt get much better than this place anywhere. Server named Raf, a true professional. Mark the owner came to visit us, he visits every table, he’s also a professional. The food is simply exceptional. Make a reservation, this place is busy in all seasons
We loved our dinner!! Kurt was spot on with his recommendation of the fresh grouper. It was delicious. The atmosphere was delightful. Not too noisy and very private for each table. We will definitely be back!
Expect to have an enjoyable visit, from the friendly greeting at the door, the live music performances, and very tasty food. The price point may be a little higher especially for the beef dishes, but it's worth the trip. We enjoyed the duck with orange sauce, in house made fettuccine alfredo with shrimp, & the fish crusted special, all of which were throughly enjoyed.
Food and service at this charming restaurant is always wonderful. Cannot be topped.
Delightful brunch with visiting friends. Everyone was pleased with the food, staff and dining room.
I would continue to refer friends to Pelican Cafe, but warn them the service at prime time will be SLOW. I would say not good service.
Food remains first class but lots of people knocking into patrons chairs trying to get around. It was crowded, but that is why you make reservations. It is up to restaurant management to MANAGE.
Food and service was excellent. Best restaurant in palm beach! Octavio is a fantastic server. Thanks for surprising us with the anniversary dessert. It was delicious!
Overpriced but always VERY good which is what makes it worth it. The decor is getting old and in my opinion, needs an update/refresh.
You could enjoy Pelican Cafe for everyday dining, a date night, business meal or friends get together. For, service and outdoor patio was terrific! I’d highly recommend it
Had an excellent dining experience to celebrate my birthday. Food was excellent and service attentive and professional. Most enjoyable evening.
Will go back! Great food!
The most delicious meal with excellent service. We will definitely be return customers!
Wonderful ! It is so hard to find a great restaurant these days. The Pelican is one of those great places. This restaurant is top notch and the service was great. We would recommend. Small home feeling. Live music although we were in a room that we couldn't really hear it. Make a reservation, they are booked all the time.
Lobster bisque was the appetizer special on the menu - a bisque should be thick and cream - not only was this not thick - creamy - it was cold . And the chunk of lobster in the bisque consisted of the tip of a lobster claw. The entertainment was great ! Our party had a fun time BUT - food was not what we had expected and hoped for
Great brunch place and attention to allergies was amazing. Highly recommend
