Peggy Kinnanes Irish Restaurant & Pub
Large menu. Waitress was excellent. Great place to eat before Hey Nonny concert.
they sat us right away (due to our reservation) which was appreciated but the brunch frankly is just low quality. food took forever to come out & just way too pricey for what you get. thumbs down
The food was good. However, price for a small cup of soup and small half sandwich was misleading. I ordered a half Rueben sandwich that added another $1.00 and selected the soup of the day, Lobster Bisque, which added another $2.00 to the menu charge of $10.95 for a cup of soup and 1/2 sandwich. Total paid was $13.95, too much for small portions and the added charge of $2.00 extra not indicated on the menu for the soup???? Also, the Restaurant when crowded is very noisy.
These onions rings with the harp sauce need to be on everyone’s bucket list! The pot roast sandwich is so tender you don’t even need teeth!
Very nice casual dinning with a variety of food options. Great service and music to boot.
Very good fish and chips. Our server Michelle was wonderful.
Burgers are great. Got personal service from the owner. He’s such a hard worker.
They serve all types of food. Try it! It’s one of our favorite places!
Wonderful evening-great food and really enjoyed Replay.
Good food. Fast, friendly service. All the employees were polite and helpful.
We arrived a few minutes early for our reservation and were seated right away. Very pleasant atmosphere and décor added to an enjoyable overall experience. Friendly waitstaff was attentive but did not rush us through our dining event. Food was great and reasonably priced. I can honestly say that I have not had a better Fish & Chips meal at any other restaurant that I've dined at. I would definitely recommend Peggy Kinnanes to anyone interested in an exceptionally satisfying experience.
Food was very good.
Our waitress was not very good. Several times we had to ask another waitress to get our waitress. She didn't seem to be very interested in our table.
The food was wonderful, if a little pricey. The noise level was quite high, which was a bit of a problem as one of our group had hearing aids, but we were still pleased that we chose to eat there.
LOVE going to Peggy's, but just did not enjoy it as much this time. I keep wondering if the same owner still owns it. Used to see him in the restaurant all the time, but have not seen him for a very long time. Food and service was good!
Peggy Kinnanes offers a wide variety of options all within the category of high end bar food. Their corned beef sandwich was delicious, and the fries have a perfect crisp before meeting the soft center. Yum! The wide variety of sandwiches as well as appetizers provides everyone at the table with many options to fit their palette. Their are also larger portioned entrees, but we did not choose those off the menu; although, they looked tasty. Our group of eight all enjoyed their meal - there was not one complaint. We purposefully went to Peggy's to watch Irish dancers - they were amazing. Therefore, it was loud, but we knew what we were getting into. We also made a reservation, which I highly recommend on a weekend evening in St. Patrick's Day Season.
The hostess staff and wait staff were fabulous, the food excellent, and the band was great!
We always have a good time at Peggy's. Food is good, beer is cold and people are friendly.
Nice menu. Several traditional Irish dishes, but also some really unusual items including stir fry.! The beer selection is outstanding and the Guinness is the freshest around. The staff is friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Also, a very authentic pub feel, with much of the decor imported from Irish pubs. One of the best Irish pubs in the Chicago area.
Have been here a few times, and love this place. I was just a little bit disappointed in the corned beef being a little tough and underdone - Flavor was terrific, though. Our server Dan was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. We come from different directions (Jefferson Park and Woodstock) and meet in Arlington Heights for lunch on some weekends. We will be back here often!
When we want Irish we go here
Delightful waiter, Jason made the dining experience enjoyable. Excellent food. Great cozy vibe. loved the furnishings. Huge menu!
Great variety of starters/small plates and drinks for a meal before the theater.
Consistently good food, interesting specials and excellent beer selection all packaged inside a charming Irish pub atmosphere.
The corn beef was amazing!!! I want to go back and have it again. Yum!
Peggy's is one of our "go to" places! The food and service is always excellent! Look forward to our next visit!
My only issue is Peggy kinnane's just a little amount of low calorie or reasonable calorie food on the menu I finally settled for the filet sliders and they were excellent Love everything else about this place
Peggy's is our "go to" place! We always enjoy a good meal and great service! Look forward to our next visit to Peggy's!
Always enjoy the Irish atmosphere. Good place to meet friends or family and not break your budget.
This is a fantastic, authentic Irish pub. The ambiance is outstanding, and the menu ranges far beyond traditional Irish fare. It is a wonderful, welcoming environment.
Peggy's seem able to maintain a high level of quality and service that other restaurants cannot.
The family went for a birthday lunch prior to going to the Metropolis. We had a great time -- and were surprised by a visit from Santa to our table, too. :)
It was a very festive environment for a holiday gathering. It was nice to have live music to listen too that wasn't too loud to talk over. We arrived a little late and they were very accommodating to seat us quickly despite being very busy.
Very busy. Waited an hour for our table, even with the reservation. We were able to enjoy drinks and some of us ordered food at the bar. Our reservation was for 6, but we ended up having more people join us. Staff were accommodating. We enjoyed the food, service, bar and band.
So disappointed. Haven eaten here before because of the proximity to the Metropolis. Our party of three was largely ignored; we had to ask multiple times for parts of our food order; had to enlist the help of the manager who seemed overtaxed. Food was cold, the Irish breakfast was particularly greasy and unappetizing. We’re not going back. Will visit other restaurants close to the theater.
WE LOVE THIS RESTAURANT FOR THE ATMOSPHERE FOR THE SERVICE. OR WAITRESS HAS BEEN SUZIE BOTH TIMES AND SHE IS THE BEST! THE FOOD IS GREAT AND WE LOVE THE LOCATION BEING IN DOWN TOWN ARLINGTON HEIGHTS. THE FOOD CHOICES ARE TREMENDOUS, SO MUCH TO PICK FROM IT MAKES IT DIFFICULT BECAUSE WE KNOW THAT EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE DELICIOUS. THANK YOU FOR THE EXPERIENCE
RANDY AND MARIA
My wife and I tried their BBQ chicken quesadilla and shared the Fish & Chips entree and were very pleased with both. Service was quick and efficient and they were so respectful of our time (we had tickets for the Metropolis) that we also shared a Creme Brulee . Dan was our server and we will be sure to return
We LOVE Peggy's!! It's our favorite "go to" place! The food and service is always excellent! Can't wait until our next visit!! We sure will miss JOEL!! Good luck with your new adventures!!
We had the sliders, which were very good. Good beer selection on draft as well. Service left a lot to be desired.
enjoyed our meal and the ambiance very much. while it was sort of quiet, it was not very busy on an early sunday afternoon. i hat noisy restaurants and wonder what its like one a friday or saturday evening. food was great, prices average, staff outstanding!
The band was very good.
I was a little disappointed when we arrived at the restaurant five minutes before our reservation and the table they had reserved still had people at it. We had to sit and wait for another 10 minutes before being seated even though we had a reservation. The food was outstanding after that. The waiter was not very good and it could’ve been that he was new.
