OpenTable Diner (Los Angeles)

Love that there are so many veggie/vegan entrees and everything is so beautifully prepared. Blackened salmon tacos weren't all that blackened but very tasty (I have to forego the sriracha aioli but got the plain aioli in its place and it was perfect for my taste). And our waiter Brendan was excellent--accommodating all of our requests for substitutions, etc.

I have dined here for both dinner and brunch previously and had been pleased, this time was not as successful. My Eggs Benedict were not cooked properly and the Johnny Cakes were under-cooked...in all fairness, I was told that the wet Burrito was quite good. Since this was the first unpleasant experience with the food, I would normally give an establishment another try (two strikes and your out) BUT with the way the reservation was handled when we first arrived, I don't think I will ever return.

When I made my reservations on Open Table I requested one of the high-top tables, that area is brighter than the front room. Now, requesting does not confirm the actual availability of the type of table I prefer but when we arrived there was indeed a high-top table for four available. The hostess advised that the table was reserved - I suggested possibly it was reserved for us since I had made that request. She looked up the reservation and saw that it indeed had been requested and went to speak to a young man, I assume her supervisor. She can back and said the reservation was for someone else and proceeded to seat us at a table that we were not at alllhappy with.

Then came Neil - the highlight of this visit. He welcomed us and advised that he would be our server...I shared with him how dissatisfied we were at the situation and the table we were sitting at. He listened, asked us to wait a moment...spoke to someone and the suddenly the high-top table became ours. He actually lost out on a very good tip, although he couldn't have know that, and I think we probably lost out on exceptional service.

One ironic point: Once we were seated another table in this are was vacated. That table remained empty for the entire time we were seated and by the time we left multiple tables had become available.

Tasty Food. You can order A la Carte. Nice atmosphere. Everyone was very friendly. Option to eat indoors or outdoors. They're next to a creek and when it cools down a bit, I'd like to go back and sit outside. Very Romantic, quaint and cozy. I'd go again.

Great ambience with outside seating. Friendly service. Delicious food. At our table we had 4 different dishes, all of which were well prepared and presented. We had chilaquiles, Johnny cakes, beet salad, and burrito.

Lovely setting and nice but inexperienced server. The menu on the website did not match that of the restaurant. The food was very underwhelming.

I come once a year to LA and always have dinner at Pedaler's fork because I like the place but this year I found the food a lot better. The quinoa cakes were outstanding with nice roasted vegetables and they also serve Miraval wine ! I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
