Food was salty and cold
We asked for Bread and they refused to bring it until we ordered food!!
Corkage fee is $32 for a party of 5 and $41 for a party of 5!!!!
We asked for substitute and the waiter said no.
Never ever will go back here.
The food is incredible! The restaurant is pretty and the service is impeccable. However the main strength is the outstanding meals.
Great food, good environment - can hear your conversation. Great service.
Wonderful food, wonderful service, great variety of menu options and a lovely setting. We had a great evening.
We had a terrific Pasta dish right from a huge mozzarella
Charming environment that’s terrific for any occasion: friend-meet-up, date night, or business dinner. Service is excellent. Food is amazing.
I live in Chicago, but when I visit LA, I find Pecorino's to be a restaurant we can count on for terrific Italian cuisine, excellent service and great atmosphere. Menu provides variety, while offering several Italian dishes we look for. I highly recommend it.
I really liked the atmosphere, but my meal was just ok. I really wanted to love it. My experience was that this is the type of chef who thinks very highly of his or her dishes and won't make any adjustments. I get it, but at the same time, I don't find it to be very guest friendly. I had an arugula salad. I didn't realize that it had celery shavings in it, which for me defeated the purpose of an arugula salad. I would typically suggest having the chef leave off the celery, but don't think that would be possible here. The celery was overwhelming in flavor. I just wasn't a fan. My entree was the pasta pomodoro. I didn't really want it - I wanted a pesto pasta, but the chef wouldn't make any changes to the pesto pasta dish on the menu. I actually like pomodoro sauce, but this dish was uneventful. I didn't hate my meal, but I can't recommend anything. Oh! Not true! The peach sorbet was fabulous! :)
I had received a $200 gift card from a valued client who frequented the restaurant. When I tried to use it after the meal, I was told that they no longer used that particular service and could therefore not verify the authenticity of the card. My trouble was understanding how this was the customer’s fault since the restaurant had clearly accepted the $200 from my client. After asking for the manger at least 4 separate times, he finally came over and was completely rude and embarrassing. I paid for the meal with a generous tip, but I would never go back there based on how poorly it is run and how rude management is.
We had the best dinner here!!! The pasta was unreal (Amatriciana and carbonara) and the service was amazing. Such a great ambiance, we were so happy to find this little spot.
I reserved a table for a friend's birthday based on the recommendation of another friend. We were seated promptly, but ignored for at least 30 minutes - had to ask for water, despite the fact that we were placed near the galley where service personnel passed constantly. When our pleas were finally answered, we found our meals bland. the Lasagne in chicken broth, Cacio de Pepe, and Carbonara were all uninspiring. And the fact that we had to ask to be served, only made the experience more unsatisfactory. $164 later, we will not be returning.
The food is great (especially the amatriciana), the price is great, but above all, the service was impeccable. I do not know our server’s name, but he was an older gentleman from Napoli. He was wonderful. Just wonderful. He absolutely made our night.
We had a lovely evening with friends. Excellent service, good food, and a nice atmosphere
The waitress was helpful and professional. The ambience was charming. I had the cacio e Pepe and it was quite good. My husband had the fettuccine bolognese and enjoyed it as well. The salad was fresh and refreshing and the dessert was creative and delicious.
Wonderful food and very attentive service.
Special occasion and was met with Italian speaking personnel which was awesome since I speak Italian. Charming and exceptional food!
We love this restaurant generally but they completely overbooked on Valentines Day and jammed so many tables into the space it was hardly intimate.
We went on Valentine's Day, so maybe not a good time to judge. The food was good. The courses were brought out too quickly, I guess to make room for the next group. We were in and out within an hour. The waiters were yelling to other waiters and rushing back and forth by us throughout the meal. Not very relaxing or romantic considering the occasion. The waitperson was fine and the restaurant itself attractive and cozy. Would not do that again.
Our guest was served the wrong salad and the waiter refused to admit it.
Especially enjoyed trying their nightly specials. Everyone enjoyed their meals
Good service and food.
Excellent, authentic Italian, handmade pastas, everything is fresh and made beyond our expectations.
Delicious. Fresh. Attentive service. I will be back.
We have dined at Pecorino on numerous occasions and have always enjoyed the food, atmosphere and friendly service. On this particular evening I had the Burrata for a starter and then Spaghetti w/ Lobster for dinner and my wife had Carbonara. Both were excellent. Brentwood (San Vicente Blvd) is filled with a number of good Italian restaurants and while on San Vicente Pecorino can sometimes be forgotten, but the food and service are a great reminder, we will be back.
Great go to restaurant. Delicious authentic Italian food. I feel like I’m in Italy.
This was the second time I was there for dinner and I loved it. Will definitely go back for dinner.
Everything was top notch delicious . My girlfriend noticed that for the first time in our 5 years history I did not offer her a taste of my pasta. It was so good I didn’t want to share it. The chef treated us to a decadent pear dessert . I didn’t leave a Crum of it. Great dining experience . We will be back.
The cache e pepi and seafood salad are 2 signature dishes that are had to beat and always enjoyed.
Pecorinos continues to be our “go to” place for a great meal and relaxing dinner. The food is only outdone by the excellent and friendly service. The owner will do most of the cooking and waiters will offer friendly advise on the what is best for your tastes. The specials are usually what i try, but its only because we go often. What an exceptional find among so many average Italian restaurants.
After a slow start, it all went uphill; Fantastic food, creative and tasty, authentic Italian, aim to please!
Always terrific. Some of the best pasta around. The special house made thick spaghetti with cacio e Pepe (cheese and pepper) is phenomenal. The special (though they have it most nights) sole covered in thinly sliced potatoes, zucchini, cherry tomoatoes and pecorino cheese is delicious. Service is always friendly and beyond solid. Highly recommend pecorino.
Local family restaurant the food was good but the service was exceptional. Extremely friendly, Knowledgeable and attentive. A great spot to sit quietly and catch up with friends.
Everything we had was delicious. Classic Italian food, done really well. Service was attentive and friendly, and the wine menu had some fun selections and good prices. Would definitely go back!
Chef Raffaele and his team have created two magical dinners for us. Every dish has been beautifully prepared and presented. We look forward to many more. The service is personal and excellent. The atmosphere is quiet and comfortable.
True Italian cooking! Excellent service. Like being back in Italia. Our favorite Italian restaurant.
Great food always! Delicious! Lovely ambiance.
We like Pecorino because it has a warm atmosphere, very nice food and pleasant service.
It is an attractive room and if you go early it is not too noisy.
We eat at Pecorino often with friends and always feel we have had a lovely evening.
Always delicious however $6 for a basket of bread with 4 pieces in it?!!!! Disappointed
Outstanding Italian food, I am reminded every time I go.
I’d like to add:, what didn’t make sense was the hostess dressed in sweats, wearing a knit beanie on, spotting a massive head cold and sneezing openly and sniffling ... very low class.
Hopefully she’ll be gone by the time we return.
