Pch is Austins very first absinthe bar, serving rich French cuisine and pre-Prohibition style cocktails along with a carefully curated wine list. The bartenders are always ready to answer questions and educate guests on the libations served. Pch strives to provide an atmosphere that is both mysterious and fun.
The menu at Pch is tailored to the drink menu and features snacks such as mushroom fritters and grilled octopus, as well as meals such as duck confit and butternut squash ravioli. The rib eye and the Texas wild boar are local favorites and be sure to finish your meal with an adult milkshake such as the bananas Foster.
Great food and service!! Gotta come back for the bone marrow!!!!
Probably the best sweetbreads I ever had. Been there many times and its consistently great.
A great place to dine. Food and service was excellent. The Mac and cheese is spectacular!
We had an amazing time at Peche, celebrating a work promotion and birthday with family from out of town. The restaurant is fairly small and intimate. The food was great -- unique selections that you don't see every day. The best part was the service. We were greeted by the owner after we sat down, who spent some time with us going through their specials, giving us recommendations, and taking our drink and appetizer orders. Overall we had a very special time, and will be back for sure.
Waitress was only ok, disappointing for where we were and the cost of it. Drinks were outstanding.
Average restaurant. The menu is quite limiting with average food. We ordered the oysters (very small in size), steak (nothing special) and the burger (again, nothing special) with a $50 bottle of wine and our bill was almost $200.
The ambiance is cool as the bar includes a sliding ladder and nicely showcases their large variety of spirits.
I would recommend this place for a drink not food.
Our server was a delight and the food was just what we needed.
Food was incredible, had such a great evening! I loved the variety of the drinks, and the atmosphere was very warm. Highly recommended.
Fantastic restaurant which serves excellent food and drinks. I definitely will return.
Very disappointed in the food. The previous evening we had eaten
at Paris 7th in Fort Worth. It was excellent. Unfortunately the food at Peche was bland and tasted like it had been heated up.
Great cocktails and really good braised short ribs. Definitely recommend!
We enjoyed Peche for its ambiance, food, service and especially value during Happy Hour.
Wine selection poor and the waiter was not really. I’ve about it so we left after appetizers
Our first experience dining in Austin. Food and service were excellent
Everything the 6 of us we ate was amazing! This is definitely one of the best meals I have ever eaten at a restaurant.
All good except excessive noise, both background and other diners. A few sound absorbing surfaces would help
The food was very good overall. The salads were a bit salty, otherwise everything was spot on. Our server was quite pleasant. Great spot for a casual dinner.
The food was outstanding and the waiter was very professional and courteous. We went on a Sunday night and it was not noisy and we could have a conversation without raising our voices, but not quiet to where we had to whisper!
Cocktails, appetizers (deviled eggs), and dinner were fantastic. A little disappointed by the bananas foster for desert, but overall I would highly recommend.
Was very romantic with the ambience, amazing food , good selection of wine and liquor . No beer . Will come again and enjoy another dinner date with loved one
We had great food and drinks, and our server was wonderful. It just really sucked that my S.O. and I were seated between two large parties. Made our intimate meal a lot more crowded than what we'd prefer.
Great food. Great drinks. Great service.
I googled the most romantic restaurants and Peche popped up multiple times! But I personally wouldn't describe it as romantic as the tables were so close you couldn't take your coat off without smacking the person at the next table and you could hear every conversation in the packed restaurant. The food and drinks were pretty good, minus the main course.
We enjoyed our food and service. It is not a fancy place but very good menu with a more rustic bar setting. Parking on the street and a lot about a 2 blocks away.
First time here. Valentine’s Day. Service was great. Drinks and food was good. Didn’t like the way so many tables were pushed into space. Originally they had us in the front booth but there was another table right beside where we couldn’t sit comfortably without the server not being able to help table beside. We asked for different table and got seated in booth. Would come back
Drinks, food, ambiance, and service were all outstanding! This has instantly become one of our favorite places in Austin for a date night.
Absolutely love this place! Simply delicious food and great service!
We went here for Valentine’s Day. It is overpriced for what you get -quality and quantity wise. We got a cheese board with 1/2 a dollop of honey and jam, you could literally barely see it on the board that’s how little it was, 5 grapes cut in half and 3 types of cheese- an ounce each- not even expensive cheese- blue cheese, Wisconsin cheddar, and another which tasted like a light Asiago. The Pomme Frits and mashed potatoes were good, the short rib was barely eatable.
I would not recommend and would not go again.
it was excellent. the environment is exciting and busy, but feels classy. the absinthe collection was extensive and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. they were service oriented which is nice on a nice occasion dinner. the food was excellent. my steak was overcooked, but they remedied the situation quickly and the replacement was perfect. i would conservatively consider it one of my top 5 places to fine dine in Austin. it was great and a lot of fun. thanks
I wouldn’t recommend this place for a special occasion or a first date. It is more oriented for group happy hours and the internal decor reflects that. Went for a bday dinner and took 30 minutes to get our first drink + app. The neighboring group that sat down after us, got the same appetizer 10 minutes before us. 45 minutes later our mains came out before the other 2 apps. One main was cold. We asked for a wine menu but the wait staff never came back to take that order. We declined to have to wait for dessert. The only saving grace was the food was delicious, but given the service, it is not worth the full price cost.
Wonderful place! Food was incredible. Bar was amazing.
Excellent food. Great wine & cocktails. Very good atmosphere. Less than exceptional service prevents 5 stars (minor mis-communications, not to the level of the food & wine experience) .
Great atmosphere and amazing and creative food. A must dinner when you visit Austin!
In Austin visiting and couldn’t be more delighted with the restaurant. Enjoyed all aspects from decor and layout to cocktails, food and service. Waiter was very knowledgeable and attentive. Top notch.
Always delish food and drinks
My thoughts are this place is way over rated. The food was just ok for the how expensive it was. It is extremely loud, so if you're looking for a place to chat, this isn't it. Service was just ok.
Great food, great vibe, and amazing bar!
Great food and drinks. Typical downtown vibe; cramped seating at the tables though.
Delicious, creative cocktails and a fun atmosphere.
