Pearl Restaurant is a rare find like a hidden gem found in an oyster!
Unlike many of today’s restaurants, Pearl does not use a microwave, fryer or a freezer. Rather, our chef prepares only the finest meat, fish, and vegetables selected from the market daily. Our pastas are homemade by Nonna Carmela. The freshness of the products coupled with the skill of our chef, will guarantee a meal that will delight your palate.

At Pearl, you will be greeted by Maximilian, a second generation restaurateur. Max will immediately make you feel at home with his gracious demeanor and friendly smile.

The food was good but came out of the kitchen too quickly. Our meal lasted less than 40 minutes. We mentioned that our table was rocking because of being on an uneven place on the floor. Someone promised to fix it but never came back. Every time we reached for our food, the table moved. When we spoke to the management at the end of the meal, they just shrugged it off. Would I go back, I’m not sure I would.

We love Pearl restaurant! Always a beautiful ambience and the food is out of this world. Nonna makes homemade pasta 7 days a week and it’s the best dish of pasta I’ve had so far! Everything I’ve gotten has been wonderful. Staff is great as well

Pearl never disappoints! At this visit, we had chicken francese, lamb chops, and rigatoni with veal ragu as our entrees and they were all wonderful. And we always have nonna's meatballs. Highly attentive service as always. Excited to return!

On arrival we were immediately seated in a nice table. The waiter was very pleasant and accommodating. The pork chop was tender and there were two orders of the Halibut special that were prepared just right. Another pleasant and relaxing evening.

Mediocre at best. Octopus was rubbery. Steamed clams were fresh and of good quality but had no flavor. Wild boar ragu was the special and I will give a good review for that dish. Pasta slightly overcooked but a solid good dish. Of course it was $35 for a plate of pasta.... a little ridiculous. The desert part was funny. We ask the waiter about 2 of the deserts. We chose one and then he brought the other one. It was ok. Its a nice little place but completely overrated.

Our server was very good and the rating would have been at least a 3 had it not been for the maitre d' who wanted to seat us within 3 feet of the door. When we declined she offered us the next table which was within the same distance as the first table. It was not until I mentioned we should just leave that she offered to seat us in a different area. Interesting enough, there was at least one open table in the room where we were seated for the duration of our dinner so my question is why place diners by the door especially if they have reservations? I will not be back to this restaurant which is a shame because the service was otherwise very good as was the food.

Amazing home made food. Cavatelli with sausage was outstanding . The owners walked around to stop at each table and speak with guests, very sweet. Waiter was not attentive but all the support staff clearing plates and food running were fantastic.

Pearl never disappoints. Authentic homemade Italian that includes both the traditional pasta dishes as well as fresh fish and seafood entrees. Attentive service and quiet vibe makes for a very enjoyable evening. We had gnocchi and ravioli (mushroom and truffle) both of which were fantastic. Highly recommend and will continue to make Pearl one of our "go to" places.

Food was excellent! Try the lump crab appetizer! It is very generous and can be shared with two people if you want a smaller app. The pork chop was cooked perfectly and the branzino was delicious.

This family-run restaurant is one I would strongly recommend to everyone. The food was delicious and the service was great. Max and his parents make you feel like part of their family once you arrive. Mom's homemade pasta and meatballs are top-notch! We will definitely be coming back for more!

This is my second time at Pearl. It is arguably my favorite Italian Restaurant in Bergen County. Pasta is homemade and everything tastes phenomenal. The pricing is what you would expect for Ridgewood and is worth every penny. The gnocchi with fresh mozzarella is my favorite dish I’ve had so far and their tiramisu is one of the best I’ve tasted. The staff is friendly and truly cares that you have a wonderful dining experience with them. Pearl is a great atmosphere for date night. I recommend it to anyone looking for a night out! Looking forward to my next visit!

The food was fantastic. The service was excellent, but our appetizers and main courses were served so quickly we didn't have time to enjoy our wine. In addition, there was a party of 4 seated next to us (who had already had plenty to drink when they arrived) and they talked so loud I couldn't speak with my wife without screaming. It was clear other diners were unhappy but no one from the restaurant intervened. It ruined what was otherwise a wonderful evening. Next time I'll place an order for pickup.
