Pearl Dive Oyster Palace

Appetizer options include crispy crawfish fritters, barbecue shrimp and wood-grilled oysters. Besides oysters, house specialties have a decidedly Cajun flair, with items such as seafood gumbo, crawfish etouffee and Gulf Coast Redfish, all of which have an amazing balance of spices.
The rich entrées at Pearl Dive Oyster Bar are further replicated in its dessert menu, with winning options like Beignets and Brazos River Bottom Pecan Pie.

We had the best experience. The oysters have a large selection, the mussels and bread were AMAZING. Our server David made the experience extremely enjoyable. We ate tacos and the hanger steak, both were off the charts. We also got donut dessert which were also to die for. David brought out a delicious congratulations cake and made it one of our favorite welcoming food experiences.
Just plain fabulous as always. Amazing oysters and rockfish entree. And then there's the mojitos. Yum....
The best oysters in DC I love everything about it atmosphere was very funky
some of the best fried chicken in the city... and that's saying something!!!
Best place for fresh raw oysters in the DC Metropolitan area.
The restaurant has a wide variety of oysters from sweet and creamy to salty and briny. Hot appetizers with oysters are also delicious, especially the wood grilled East Coast oysters. Entrees are solid. The duck & oyster gumbo had the right amount of spice and the smokiness of the duck that made a match in your palate.
Our first time dining at this gem. Simply delicious food with excellent service.
Celebrated my birthday here. Food was very good.
Nick was amazing.
Night before sin and daughter-in-law settles in their first home. The service was very special. The food is always good.
Great service. Great food. I would recommend David as an outstanding server. Very attentive and very enthusiastic. If he suggests it. Eat it.
Everything was very good, except the restaurant was very hot, which took away the good feeling.
great locale, super nice staff and really outstanding food, been going there for over 5 years
Subtle this food isn’t. The house salad was overdressed, the Oysters Rockefeller were salty and an order of sautéed spinach was covered with garlic. Fried oysters were also slightly greasy. It’s a fun atmosphere but the food was a big disappointment.
Fantastic meal and service!
Our server was great - very patient with us as we had a hard time deciding. The sazarac was delish and the crabcakes (the special that day) were outstanding. For folks over 60, it was quite loud but we would definitely go back.
We love going here! Great oysters, amazing servers....so fun
Great food, but it was borderline miserable due to the fact that we were sweating to death while we ate. According to the menu, 100% of their electricity is wind generated, which meant they basically had no air conditioning. DC in the summer is way too hot and humid to eat in a small restaurant with no air, especially at those prices. Personally, I would rather have a nice dinner in a comfortable environment.
The food and service were amazing as always. The only problem was it was a little loud from the bar music. That would never keep me away .
Great food best t incredibly noisy.
Great selection of oyster and fish dishes. Wonderful cocktails too.
Excellent food and service. I would highly recommend.
Pearl Dive is simply amazing - great food and service!!
Service is excellent. Cocktails are very good. Food is very well made, but a little on the salty side. Great oysters. Good for ambiance - a vibrant atmosphere. I would recommend.
I love visiting this restaurant. Active bar and outdoor raw bar area and then great booths and tables in the dining area. Our waiter was superb and the whole team seemed to really enjoy themselves. Had fresh snapper that was DELICIOUS and Lobster dumplings that were superb. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars across the board is that the wine glass servings are small (there goes value) but I highly recommend for fresh oysters, excellent menu choices and a happy, healthy staff environment!
This place is amazing. So glad we got a chance to go while we were in town.
From Milwaukee. Grabbed a dozen oysters here last time we were in DC, and we’re pleased to see that upon our return we were right around the corner (again). Scallops with Succotash were a great featured entree.
The bar scene is hopping and food delicious.
Out of the first two selections we wanted, restaurant was extremely warm. Front bar area open, so created warm and humid conditions in dining area. No barrier for sound when bar is full, to stop noise from disturbing patrons in dining room.
Excellent meal with fabulous service! Only complaint was that our table was oddly wedged into a cramped spot & very hard to access. Restaurant has shoved in a few too many tables & chairs in to be comfortable.
I ordered the ravioli appetizer as my entree. Delicious!!!
The food was excellent. We had dinner there twice while on our vacation.
Our waiter David, was fantastic.
I would highly recommend this restaurant for dinner, bar scene or any occasion.
I really love this restaurant but I won’t go back unless it is a cool night. The a/c was non existent and we all sweated through our meal. Hard to enjoy the food when you’re so uncomfortable.
A lively place even on a Sunday night. Open air and a bar out front- not too big but the music was really great (Latin) and the food was super good too!
The food is Delish from the oysters and appetizers to the dessert and everything in between - will surely be going back - soon!
Food was amazing especially the gumbo!
Please turn the ac on!
My only complaint -- we sat at a booth on the right side as you face the street. The booth is located in an alcove. As a result we did not have the benefit of the air flow generated by the ceiling fan. My guess is that it was 5 to 10 degrees warmer where we sat as compared to those not in the alcove. Great for the winter maybe but not on a humid June evening.
I wish I knew it was a brunch served on a Sunday because I wouldn’t have went. Wasn’t a big selection and what was offered wasn’t worth it. The people who take plates off the table were rude and would just reach over in front of you. They clearly didn’t care. One of our cups had lipstick on the rim and they didn’t even notice it. I was actually scared to use the utensils so thankfully I had plastics wear in my bag. The oysters were fresh and delicious. I would like to give them a second chance for their regular menu.
Food and service are consistently great here. We were there over the weekend for Father's Day brunch. Kids love the donuts and french toast, my husband and I enjoy the oysters, cocktails and eggs! We've been several times over the last few years and will continue to go back!
Wonderful time here! Had a birthday dinner with my partner and he loved the food as did I! Yelp and OpenTable definitely bridged the gap in making this a positive experience that was comfortable, inviting, and easy.
