Pearl Dive Oyster Palace
With an ambience steeped in rustic charm and a menu filled with treasures from the sea, Pearl Dive Oyster Palace focuses on fresh produce and quality ingredients in its welcoming eatery. Appetizer options include crispy crawfish fritters, barbecue shrimp and wood-grilled oysters. Besides oysters, house specialties have a decidedly Cajun flair, with items such as seafood gumbo, crawfish etouffee and Gulf Coast Redfish, all of which have an amazing balance of spices.

Excellent Customer Service
I Love Love Love this place. This was our first time eating here and I was beyond amazed. David was an amazing waiter. His personality, knowledge of the entire menu, and his eagerness to serve is just outstanding. The food was delicious!!! I will definitely be back.
Such great service
Great food. Great meal. Seating is tight
Delicious, creative Southern seafood with a cool vibe.
The food was phenomenal but unfortunately we waited over an hour to be seated regardless of our reservation. The hostess was terribly rude when we approached her about waiting.
The manager was kind and offered us a bottle of wine as an apology. We will be back simply because of the quality of the food but I was disappointed that we were forced to wait until 9:30 pm to eat.
Great service and food!
Delicious as usual
Restaurant unable to accommodate food allergies. Even though I had eaten there before and they were accommodating to my garlic allergy, this time they did not. I was told I could only eat a wedge salad and branzino out of the whole menu. Ended eating a mediocre hamburger that had to be remade. Terrible experience!!!!!
Good place for people who like serious food but don’t take themselves too seriously. Oyster abundance! Must try the angels on horseback (wood grilled oysters in bacon w balsamic drizzle), cornmeal crusted oysters with Tasso hash, raw oysters w “dive juice” (cilantro champagne vinaigrette), oyster and duck confit gumbo. Service is impeccable and friendly. All this set to a fun dance music background. Go go go!
Loved this restaurant! Ambiance was great, the wait staff was awesome and very helpful. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and specials and gave good suggestions. Large portions of food and drinks! Everything was delicious and great!
Server David knows the menu and meal ingredients forwards and backwards. He steered us to a fantastic dining experience. Food was excellent, perhaps the best burger in recent memory. Drinks were strong.
Very good food very loud. Service was ok.
We had a great time. Good food. Good service. The bar was packed at 6 pm and it was very loud. It was less loud when the bar thinned out.
Absolutely loved this place! We will be back!
I never tire of Pearl Dive. "Lo Que Los Gatos Suenan - What Cats dream of" is one of my favorite dishes as is the BBQ shirmp and I love their Oysters, hot or cold. Wash all of that down with a Pearl Cup and I couldn't be any happier. The service is always friendly and staff are knowledegable.
Came here for a friends bday. Such a great time. From the time we got there until we left everyone was super attentive and helpful. We ordered several rounds of oysters which were all delicious. I can’t wait to come back when I’m in town again!
Great as usual
It was amazing! Definitely coming back!
Food was fantastic. Some of the best seafood I have had in a long time. Reminded me of some of the meals I have had in New Orleans.
Amazing food service was great !!!!
Really enjoyed and loved Mariscos de Campechana, which I would strongly recommend everyone to try. But if there was a half size option, we could have enjoyed other great stuffs in the menu. For a party of two in mid 50s, it was quite a challenging size, when home made bread was so tempting too.
Wonderful service & recommendations on raw oysters
A little loud, and the dining room wasn't even full.
The food was delicious. Our server, Nick, was professional and welcoming, as were the support staff. We're planning a return visit already!
Stopped by with my daughter while on vacation and we loved it. Our server was wonderful - helped us pick several oysters to try. We wanted to try everything on the menu but settled on oysters, mussels, shrimp cocktail and oysters Rockefeller as well as dessert.
Everything was super fresh and incredibly tasty. Our only regret is that we don't live in DC and won't be back soon.
Terrific food with very fresh seafood. Excellent service. Quite loud, but we were seated as far away from the deafening bar as possible, so it was tolerable.
Delicious, authentic cajun and creole options. Amazing playlist featuring everyone you want to hear during a birthday brunch. Friendly, engaged staff. Pearl Dive Oyster Palace is the place to be!
Our server was amazing! We went for brunch while on a diet and she was extraordinarily informative and helpful navigating our food restrictions.
Superb, well run restaurant with top notch staff from hostess to waiters to kitchen. Excellent menu, delicious food, great service with a smile. Best Oysters Rockefeller anywhere.
Visited in Sunday for brunch. Terrific service and mimosa or blood Mary by the pitcher. Delicious food. The clam chowder is New England style with fresh briny oysters wood grilled, yummy redfish on grits. Grits were coarse not fine and a bit of seasoning helped. Great recommendations from server. Good value for price. Definitely will return.
Birthday celebration at one of our favorite places in DC.
Promptly seated for a 7pm reservation by a welcoming hostess. The noise level was moderately high however there is a difference between a noisy restaurant and a lively one. This is a lively with everyone is enjoying the food and ambience. Started with 6 oysters. Great daily selection from the west coast and east coast waters. West coast oysters tend to be smaller more buttery and lighter in brine flavor. The east coast are brinier and have a bit more oyster liquor. I ordered 3 of each to run the range and was not disappointed. Served cold with three sauces horseradish. Perfectly shucked. Also a minor point but they were served with a small packet of saltines which you can nimble on between oysters to help clean the pallets before the next oyster which helps to taste the difference between the varieties. Most oyster houses fail to provide this old-school extra but it in my opinion shows the expertise of the kitchen. I then moved onto 4 wood grilled oysters with garlic chili butter with a crispy gremolata. Absolutely delish. A small bread basket with mini corn muffins and home baked rolls helped to sop up the butter. Next was the bbq shrimp appetizer over stone ground grits and a small piece of garlic bread. Outstanding. Messy (you peel the shrimp) satisfying and very savory. The grits were both soft and enough grain to be a perfect foil for the shrimp. They also bring a warm moist towel with a lemon wedge to wipe your fingers off after you have finished the dish. Now on to the main. The roasted redfish over grits with brown butter and pecans was perfectly executed. The skin crisp, the fish moist and flavorful. The nutty flavor of the brown butter was subtle. The flavor profiles worked wonderfully. Dessert was a cake with pears and ice cream sweet enough but not overly. Perfect ending. My server, Brooke, was excellent and offered great suggestions. Whoever is cooking is a master. All staff I encountered we friendly and well trained. Thank you for a fabulous nite
One of my favorite places to eat! Great staff, wonderful food and awesome atmosphere! It never disappoints!!
Delicious food and excellent service! The 50 percent off all bottles of wine Tuesday deal is another attraction. We sat down for dinner, but there was a vibrant happy hour scene too. Will definitely be on my list next time I am in DC!
Josh was a fantastic server. The Cat’s Dream is the best dish on the menu
FOOD WAS GREAT AS USUAL. SERVICE HAS ALWAYS BEEN GREAT.
Food was well seasoned and very tasty. We also had a very nice conversation with Cloe the General Manager who recommended two other restaurants within their brand. Service was excellent.
Brooke was an excellent server. The entrees came out at the perfect time after the appetizers. You all are able to accommodate vegans and accommodate our big party. Thank you for being flexible with us we appreciate service!
Great food and service . Would definitely recommed
Everything was amazing. I especially enjoyed the oysters wrapped in smoky bacon and the etouffee. The salad with veggies and popcorn crawfish was another dish not to miss.
