Pearl Dive Oyster Palace

Besides oysters, house specialties have a decidedly Cajun flair, with items such as seafood gumbo, crawfish etouffee and Gulf Coast Redfish, all of which have an amazing balance of spices.
The rich entrées at Pearl Dive Oyster Bar are further replicated in its dessert menu, with winning options like Beignets and Brazos River Bottom Pecan Pie.

We chose Pearl Dive for our last meal in the US on the advice of a chance meeting in a beer garden - and it was a good one. It is a pleasant space and not too noisy Special mention goes to our server, David, whose almost wild enthusiasm was fun. Oysters were on 50% reduction so of course we had lots. David helped with our choice as we have no idea of differences, especially as in the uK I have never seen more than three and usually only one type, on offer. I and my wife had catfish, which was good. My brother in law chose Amish chicken, for some reason (in a fish restaurant????). he seemed satisfied. I chose a Provencal rose for familiarity and price. I was pleased with the relatively modest cost of the evening, too.
Great time and food and cocktails fantastic. Our waitress was fantastic!
Decent food and atmosphere. Good service. Too loud!
Great food and server. The oysters were fresh, the beer was cold and the server was nice.
As usual we enjoyed a great meal with prompt, attentive service. We will return on our next visit to D.C.
Great experience, our server David was amazing. Will definitely be back.
Food and service were great. Oysters, bbq shrimp and paella were all excellent! It was lovely.
Great oyster recommendations. The food, atmosphere, and service are always great.
Pearl Dive is a delicious, lively, great restaurant. We loved our oysters, our market fish (bass), and our fish tacos. The wine list was fabulous, too. My son and I had a wonderful dinner. The wait staff was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The restaurant and the bar area were full even on a Sunday night, which shows how much everyone loves this place! I definitely recommend. We will go again on our next visit to Washington, DC!
Our server Josh was great!! He offered several menu suggestions.
Everything was excellent. Especially the oysters.
Excellent food and folks!
Love this place. If you get the pleasure of having David serve you, it will be an experience you won't forget.
I do love the half price Oyster Monday’s, and happy hour drinks also fine. Yummy food, excellent service, but a bit pricey. The desserts are first rate. Gets pretty noisy but you can still talk. I’ve heard their burger is to die for.
Excellent food and great atmosphere! Would love to go again!
Brunch was amazing, the dishes were creative, different and flavorful, but still comforting and filling and not too quirky to please a crowd. The service and ambiance were great. Will definitely be back.
Good place for oysters and seafood. Bit warm in restaurant when bar opened wide on hot night. Service was grand.
Really good service and the food was really delicious
The food was delicious but service was a bit aloof - we had to remind the waiter that the menu said we would get a basket of corn muffins and bread and had to ask again for our drinks, which didn’t even come out at the same time. A/C was also broken or undersized so it was fairly warm and stuffy inside
Was my first time at Pearl Dive. Excellent food and great service by Nick. Was louder than I expected; did not realize it was such a social/bar scene later on Friday evenings. But still had a great meal and good time with an out of town friend.
Chopped salad and oysters are the perfect Friday lunch!
Lovely spot found at the last minute in this bustling part of DC. As a party of 1, we are often put on side tables and never offered a booth. The same here---but small dining room--made it bearable. Wait staff was polite and helpful in oyster selection along w entree. I found the food prepared and presented well. A cocktail and glass of wine also served quickly. I recommend for hot spot in town, date night, groups of 4 or so. I immediately texted a friend and told them about it! I will go back if back in DC.
I was expecting more offer on the oyster, more raw fish.. the service was good, very nice people
Great restaurant but its rather hot as they keep front windows open
Waitstaff was a bit too attentive.
David is one of the best servers in DC! Request him the next time you’re there - you’ll have an awesome experience. The food is always exceptional at Pearl Dive. Enjoy!
Food was great. Really nice brunch menu. Service was excellent. David was a great menu guide and server. Friendly and fun.
Our server Dave was fantastic! Every bite was tasty.
Took a long time to get items (condiments or sides for food despite asking at the time of ordering) so just had to sit and wait. Slow drink service as well.
We had the best experience. The oysters have a large selection, the mussels and bread were AMAZING. Our server David made the experience extremely enjoyable. We ate tacos and the hanger steak, both were off the charts. We also got donut dessert which were also to die for. David brought out a delicious congratulations cake and made it one of our favorite welcoming food experiences.
Just plain fabulous as always. Amazing oysters and rockfish entree. And then there's the mojitos. Yum....
The best oysters in DC I love everything about it atmosphere was very funky
some of the best fried chicken in the city... and that's saying something!!!
Best place for fresh raw oysters in the DC Metropolitan area.
The restaurant has a wide variety of oysters from sweet and creamy to salty and briny. Hot appetizers with oysters are also delicious, especially the wood grilled East Coast oysters. Entrees are solid. The duck & oyster gumbo had the right amount of spice and the smokiness of the duck that made a match in your palate.
Our first time dining at this gem. Simply delicious food with excellent service.
Celebrated my birthday here. Food was very good.
Nick was amazing.
Night before sin and daughter-in-law settles in their first home. The service was very special. The food is always good.
Great service. Great food. I would recommend David as an outstanding server. Very attentive and very enthusiastic. If he suggests it. Eat it.
Everything was very good, except the restaurant was very hot, which took away the good feeling.
