My far my favorite restaurant in DC, was there for 4 days this month and ate there every single day.
Great food! Except when the restaurant is not full, please don’t seat us right next to another couple (on top of them) when there are many other tables open.
Waitress was great!
Service and food was outstanding! We cannot wait to go back!
Great meal, service and overall dining experience.
Food is delicious and filling. We were full off of the appetizers. They were so good. Wonderful place to eat where date night or a group of friends.
Josh was a wonderful server. We will be back.
Very well shucked oysters, and delicious entrees...but $24 for two fish tacos was excessive.
Pear Dive was fantastic! Our waiter, David, was superb. He helped us pick out oysters and main dishes. He knew his menu inside and out - had tasted everything on it and had great advice. The oysters were YUM - about 10 different varieties to select from and you could get multiple kinds in a single serving. The entre's were divine. Hubby had the fried catfish sandwich and I had the Paella. Both were delicious. the atmosphere was casual but very cool. Great neighborhood place. The valet parking was an added bonus since parking in the neighborhood is difficult. If you have not been - GO NOW! We'll be back.
We had to move tables twice because of noise level and comfort—but the staff was exceedingly accommodating. They were wonderful and the food was delicious!
When we first walked in, we weren't sure, but as the food came out, we knew we had another great hit! The raw oysters started out the meal being right on point. The Branzino was cooked perfectly and was amazing. What a great find! We will be back!
Pearl Dive is consistently amazing for oysters and for the rest of the menu. I'd recommend even if you don't eat oysters. The servers really know their stuff - what goes into the food, what different oysters are like, etc. Pro-tip: The fish special of the day is always a good bet.
Fun place when oysters are half price!! I had a nice time and the oysters were really good.
Great food and excellent service. We have to give a shout out to David, who always takes amazing care of us and is on top on things! He make our regular visits a pleasure.
Really enjoyed Brunch. Great food, cocktails, and David’s service. He detailed the daily lineup and offered great suggestions. We will be regulars for sure!
It’s almost as good as the restaurants in New Orleans! The food is that good!
Food was tasty, but a bit too salty overall. Restaurant was hot and not comfortable as a result. When asked about the air conditioning in the restaurant, the waitress explained that it is a problem on hot days. I was surprised that this sort of issue would not be swiftly corrected by management.
Good job and tasty as always.
Very noisy but the food offsets it! Service is good too
Fantastic! Even considered going back the next night. If you are a seafood lover in DC I highly recommend you give it a try.
Food and service were excellent. We ordered two dozen oysters, appetizers , and drinks, and were very satisfied. Our server was helpful, friendly, and efficient. I look forward to my next visit!
The entire evening was amazing from beginning to end. Brooke, our waitress, was very helpful and attentive. Each dish was delicious. The oysters were delectable! And Abdual made our evening even better! The apple pie was delicious! Will be back!
went there for brunch. the food was average to below average. however, the service was very good!
My fiancé and I happened across Pearl Dive for brunch when we visited DC about four years ago. We fell in love with the ambiance, the delicious oysters, the Pontchartrain, and the cinnamon roll. We touted this meal at Pearl Drive to all of our family and friends over the course of four years and we promised ourselves that the next time we were in DC we’d come back to Pearl Dive and that’s exactly what we did - everything was just as delicious as we remembered it. I recommend Pearl Dive for brunch for ANYBODY in DC.
The food was quite good. We enjoyed the oyster. A great place for lunch before our play at Studio Theater.
My fiancée and I were visiting from Honolulu and we had a great experience. I don’t remember our server’s name...he had lots of tattoos and was very boisterous and gregarious...but he was fantastic and made our dining experience great. He’s a major asset to the restaurant!
We chose Pearl Dive for our last meal in the US on the advice of a chance meeting in a beer garden - and it was a good one. It is a pleasant space and not too noisy Special mention goes to our server, David, whose almost wild enthusiasm was fun. Oysters were on 50% reduction so of course we had lots. David helped with our choice as we have no idea of differences, especially as in the uK I have never seen more than three and usually only one type, on offer. I and my wife had catfish, which was good. My brother in law chose Amish chicken, for some reason (in a fish restaurant????). he seemed satisfied. I chose a Provencal rose for familiarity and price. I was pleased with the relatively modest cost of the evening, too.
Great time and food and cocktails fantastic. Our waitress was fantastic!
Decent food and atmosphere. Good service. Too loud!
Great service, fun location, would recommend
Great food and server. The oysters were fresh, the beer was cold and the server was nice.
As usual we enjoyed a great meal with prompt, attentive service. We will return on our next visit to D.C.
Great experience, our server David was amazing. Will definitely be back.
Food and service were great. Oysters, bbq shrimp and paella were all excellent! It was lovely.
Great oyster recommendations. The food, atmosphere, and service are always great.
Pearl Dive is a delicious, lively, great restaurant. We loved our oysters, our market fish (bass), and our fish tacos. The wine list was fabulous, too. My son and I had a wonderful dinner. The wait staff was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The restaurant and the bar area were full even on a Sunday night, which shows how much everyone loves this place! I definitely recommend. We will go again on our next visit to Washington, DC!
Our server Josh was great!! He offered several menu suggestions.
Everything was excellent. Especially the oysters.
Excellent food and folks!
Love this place. If you get the pleasure of having David serve you, it will be an experience you won't forget.
I do love the half price Oyster Monday’s, and happy hour drinks also fine. Yummy food, excellent service, but a bit pricey. The desserts are first rate. Gets pretty noisy but you can still talk. I’ve heard their burger is to die for.
Excellent food and great atmosphere! Would love to go again!
