Did not like the service. Had asked to be seated by the window, server said they’ll check but never got back to us and the entire time we were there these tables by the window were vacant.

Also the servers would disappear and would take a very long time to show up again.

My food lacked salt. As if they ran out of it. And no I don’t consume a lot of salt

I rarely write reviews, but our experience warrants one. First of all, the food is very good, but the awful service made the experience less than enjoyable. My husband was seated first and was led to a back dining area to meet me, but I had not yet arrived so he had to go back to the front of the restaurant to request to be seated again. This is a minor quibble, but it was only the beginning of truly awful service. Our waitress was completely unknowledgeable about the cocktails, and she clearly did not know what chenin blanc is, because she came back to our table 5 minutes after I ordered it and admitted that she could not find it on the menu. It turns out she thought chenin blanc was a cocktail. I then pointed to it on the menu, but was served a red wine instead. By the time I received the correct glass of wine (20 minutes after I ordered it), we just wanted to order our meal but the waitress dropped off the wine and avoided our table. We gestured to someone who appeared to be a manager 3 times so are order could be taken and finally somebody else took our order (a full 30 minutes after I had arrived). I ordered a salmon dish that was supposed to have cabbage, apples and bacon, but I was served salmon over white beans instead, without any comment from our waitesss when we ordered or when we are served. By that time, we were tired of complaining and just wanted to eat and leave. There was a breakdown at almost every level of service, and it is really unfortunate because the place certainly has potential.

Ten minutes after I was seated, the server arrived. I ordered a cocktail to drink while mulling over the menu. Five minutes later, still no cocktail, but the server returned to take my order: onion soup to start and steak frites for the main course. Five minutes later still no cocktail, but the soup arrived, followed in a couple minutes by the cocktail. I had just started the soup (average at best—get the onion soup at Maple and Ash instead) when the steak arrived. Seeing I had just begun the soup, the person who brought it took it back to the kitchen. Not wanting a steak that had been sitting under a heat lamp for ten minutes, I summoned the server and canceled it. A manager appeared and asked what the problem was. Upon hearing my explanation she asked, “Would you like the steak wrapped to take home?” Seriously? A customer just rejected a warmed-up steak and you think he’d take it home to—warm it up?? I asked for my check and to their credit they removed the steak and the soup from the bill. I always enjoyed Jason Paskewitz’s food at The Blanchard, but I’m not going back to the Pearl.

A friend and I did dinner before a show and had a lovely time. The pre-fixe meal is a great deal - all the portions were normal size. My french onion soup was a little weak, but the mushroom risotto was indulgent. The service was great, and the decor/atmosphere is just decadent enough to allow you to feel like you stepped back into France in the 50s.

We ate there before going to the Lyric, 2 blocks away, and now we plan to make Pearl Brasserie a destination on its own. The $35 prix fixe is amazing. The salad frisee was perfectly made and presented, the escargot had lots of buttery, garlic breadcrumbs and the beignets were fresh ant hot, with enough to feed 4 people.

Excellent service, great lobster bisque, a nice view of the river, and savory flavors. You can't miss here.

Charming hidden gem located beside the river. Service was outstanding - restaurant is immaculate.

All was very good at the restaurant, however......Open table was suppose to give me 1,000 points and I only got 100. Please don’t put 1,000 points if your not going to honor it.
