PEARL Bar & Dining Ratings and Reviews
Pearl is the best value for quality dining on The Eastside. The service is impeccable, the food is outstanding every time and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Parking is easy with validated valet across the driveway at The Westin Hotel. Over 50 meals at Pearl over the years and perfection every time!
The food and service were good, but man was it noisy - even before the fire alarm went off (in fact, we didn't hear it at first, until one of us turned around and saw the flashing lights! our server said they go off about twice a week and it's always a false alarm). It was a false alarm this time too, but wow was it loud. I had the short ribs and they were unanimously voted the best meal at the table.
We ate in the bar at 1:00 for lunch, there were about 4 tables of people. The bartender was the waitperson. She was nice, attentive at first then it took 10 minutes to get a glass of ice tea . I sent my salmon salad back because the salmon was bad - smelled & tasted fishy which it should not. I am a huge seafood NW person. They took it back and did. Not charge me. They were very apologetic. Not a very healthy menu. They validate parking, so maybe just go for drinks. I was bummed- just had fries, they could have been cooked more. At least it only cost me $7 for ice tea and fries-I dislike fast food but maybe that would have been a better choice.
Pearl is an outstanding restaurant in downtown Bellevue. Their entire menu is very good, Not too many options, so that they focus on doing a few dishes very well. I particularly like their Crab Cakes, served puddle spicy Remoulade of with a slightly spicy sauce, accompanied by some of the best French Fries, and a small Corn Salad.
Todd was our server on Thanksgiving. He provided excellent service by being attentive, friendly, and patient. He had great timing as far as getting our table refills and giving us time to catch up with everyone at the table. The Thanksgiving meal was delicious and the portions were generous. I'd definitely come back for a holiday meal or special night out. Thanks!
This restaurant was a "blind" pick as I was attending a conference from out of town. It was chosen based on the online reviews and did not disappoint. The food was amazing, service was as well and it was very conviently located. While I usually do not enjoy being in the middle of the city, this restaurant was wonderful.
The ambiance was quite nice for a business meal, reasonably quiet but colorful and interesting atmosphere to support quality discussions. The waiter was very knowledgeable about wines and we selected a high quality Cakebread Cab S. The food was wonderfully displayed, and flavors quite good, but I found the Sable Fish to be a over burdened with the sauce unfortunately diminishing the flavor and texture of the fish. It was a good place for a business dinner and provided good value.
The overall experience was really good. We were meeting friends that we hadn't seen in over 30 years. We spent a lot of time catching up. Our server seemed to understand, and gave us a lot of time. We really appreciated that courtesy. the meals were great, the service was outstanding, the parking was hellish, and I will be back soon and often!
This was our second time here and the food did not disappoint. We ordered the beet salad and scallops and crab legs and all were perfectly prepared and presented. However, although the restaurant appeared to have an intimate setting, it was so loud that we couldn’t hear each other talk. It put a real damper on the romantic anniversary dinner we had hoped for. We will be back for the great service and food but save the romantic celebrations for someplace else.
I had dinner at Pearl with someone with whom I'm doing business. I arrived late for our reservation, yet the hostess was very accommodating and sat us immediately upon my arrival. My guest, who is a strict vegetarian, had a meeting scheduled shortly afterwards, which meant that we needed to expedite our dinner. Our waiter was sensitive to our short time frame and, while Pearl's menu is not focused on vegetarian dishes, he gave great suggestions for modifying the menu to satisfy my guest's dietary restrictions and, at the same time, made sure that our food arrived promptly so that my guest could get to his meeting on time. And we even had time for dessert. The wine and food were all perfect -- everything was delicious. And pricing was reasonable. Pearl is a fine restaurant. I look forward to dining there again in the future when I can take the time to enjoy it to its fullest.
We hadn't been to Pearl in several years so decided to visit again and use our Open Table Rewards card. Our dinners were as delicious as we remembered. I was happy to see my favorite dish, the chicken & mushroom papparadelle still on the menu. Their selection of NW wines is very good, especially if you're buying a bottle. The restaurant is quiet - you can actually have a conversation at your table and not have to listen to other patrons shouting nearby. Lovely evening.
