PEARL Bar & Dining Ratings and Reviews
Pearl is a regular spot for us for lunch. On a couple of occasions, the fries were really soggy, but this time they had it down pretty well. Always good service, although at times, they get busy during lunch and your waiter disappears. nothing on them, they just need more servers for the amount of clientele they get. Still remains a great choice for lunch!
Overall I would say this place isn't worth the price. The entrees were about 35 each (we had the house specialty of sablefish) plus the salad, drinks and dessert. Basically we thought each course would have been worth about 1-4 dollars less. There were some items that were great and some that were bad and some that weren't either. I.E. The fish was cooked well, the sauce was very flavorful, the dumplings were not good at all. Overall the dish was one note with texture. It was good, just not 35.00 good.
We dined at Pearl on a Friday night. For appetizers we had crab cakes and the spicy tuna tartare. We split a waghu surloin. For dessert we split an apple tart. The appetizers were tasty, though there was no detectable heat in the 'spicy' tartare. The steak was flavorful and the portion was very small, even for one person. The dessert was unremarkable. Service was attentive and friendly throughout.
Pearl is my favorite restaurant, hands down. The restaurant was completely booked for Valentine's Day dinner, so we decided to go the next day for dinner. They were very busy. There were at least 4 private parties going on, so the noise level was a little high. My fiance' ordered the Goat Cheese Crostini. He loved it. We both ordered the Wagyu Sirloin. It is served with Blue Cheese fritters and Roasted Potatoes. It was fabulous! The steak was so tender and tasty. For dessert, I tried the Apple Strudel Tart with ice cream and caramel sauce. Delicious! Our waiter, Sebastian was excellent. He is the best server that we have encountered at Pearl. He gave us excellent service. He was very attentive without being intrusive. Pearl is Perfect!
Wonderful place to have a bite to eat. The girlfriend and I went there for Valentines day and thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. I personally didn't care for the ambiance as much as some of the other local places...Ruth Chris, Daniels Broiler, but this place I don't believe, is meant to be up to that level. For what it was, it was wonderful. The service was beyond amazing. My glass was never less than 3/4 full. They are very mindful to move around you, not reach across, and for the most part leave you alone to enjoy your meal and your company. For 2 appetizers, 2 glasses of wine, 2 meals, and 2 desserts with 30$ tip ended up costing about $160, so not too shabby for the food we got. Great overall, I'll be back for sure.
Easily one of the best restaurant experiences I have had in a long time. Great, thoughtful, well executed food. Knowlegable, friendly server Amanda and the handsome and gracious maitre' d Rashod made sure our night was seamless. Amanda made an effort that enabled me to have foie gras when in fact it had been 86'd from the menu...she asked again and it had just been delivered....it was sublime. Kudos Pearl. I will be back, I will tell many.
The food was excellent. We had a party of four, two of us had the sirloin special which was recommended by our waitress. The sirloin was flavorful and very tender...one of the nicest tasting steaks I have had in awhile. One of us ordered the filet which was excellent, as well, and the fourth member of our party ordered duck and was also very pleased with his meal. We had excellent service - our waitress was honest when we asked her about certain entrees and we felt like she gave us excellent advise w/our selections. The atmosphere is nice....contemporary, but not too noisy. We had a nice table for four with plenty of room, and not crowded in among other diners. I would recommend Pearl to my friends and we will definitely go back.
I came in for dinner and drinks before an event. We started with a sparkling wine and enjoyed the tuna tartare with a bottle of wine. Olivia was our server and was wonderful; attentive but not hovering.
It was a Friday evening so the bar was packed but from the dining room 99% of the bar banter were muffled and the dining room was quiet.
Our food took a while to come out. We really didn't mind as we were busy chatting with our friends. However, even though we did not complain, the management came over and apologized and then provided us (gratis!) with a beautiful selection of some of their desserts as compensation for our wait. They could not have been more pleasant and accommodating and the food was fantastic.
I went to dinner with my Mother-in-law. We ordered 2 different chef specials, one sablefish and one tenderloin. Both were so superb we ordered 1 of each for takeout. We'd left the hubby's at home and were feeling guilty for so thoroughly enjoying ourselves. The peace offerings worked fabulously.
We had a group of eight for Christmas Eve. When we arrived early for our reservations, they couldn't seat us until our reservation time, but the manager bent over backwards to show that he appreciated our patience. Our waiter, Sebastian, was very attentive and friendly. Among the dishes we enjoyed were the tempura vegetables, the spinach salad, and the prawns and risotto.
Normally Pearl has a pretty lively bar scene, but on Christmas Eve it was fairly quiet, which made it a perfect place for a family celebration after seeing the Snowflake Lane festivities. Their menu of small plates and entrees made it easy for everyone to order something they liked. We will definitely come again.
The WAGYU sirloin was tender and very flavorful. According to my fiance, the cioppino was great, too. The chocolate dessert was rich and delicious - perfect for sharing. I was pleased that the entrees were not overlarge portions. The staff were attentive, had a friendly demeanor and seemed not to mind working on Christmas Eve.
The warm steak sandwich is served open faced. It is delicious! Another great find was the pappardelle pasta with mushrooms. Very rich, but oh so wonderful! Pearl never fails to disappoint us. We have been going there for lunch, dinner and every special occasion. Here's a special tip: Park in the Lincoln Square parking garage. Follow the signs to the Westin Hotel all the way straight down to the last floor of the parking garage. Take the parking garage elevator to the Westin lobby. Exit and cross the street to the restaurant. The restaurant will validate parking. I notice that Pearl has become very busy, lately. Word of mouth and being awarded "Best Lunch In Bellevue" must be paying dividends. Enjoy!
