We went to lunch to celebrate a birthday of a friend. They seated us in a nice booth which was very private. Food was excellent as was the service. They even treated my friend to a free dessert in celebration of her birthday. Perfect lunch!

My husband received a call at 6:03 stating that they were wondering if we were still coming for our 6:00 reservation. We showed up at 6:04. Thought that was a little ridiculous bc the place was pretty dead. I could understand if the place was packed with people waiting. Service was pretty darn slow & the food was pretty good but I thought a tad overpriced.

This was our 36th anniversary and we hoped for a special night. The bar was very casual and the calamari just fair. We were there during Happy Hour and my $8 Cosmo was fine. My husband asked for a bourbon on the rocks “whatever is in the well.” When we got the bill, we were surprised the modest drinks were $10 each - hardly happy hour prices. The restaurant was practically empty - only three tables of diners. Our meals were OK (chicken pasta dish and a pork chop dish) but not outstanding. I had noted when I made the reservation that it was our anniversary and I also mentioned it to our wait person, but nothing was offered in celebration. Usually we have been given a free dessert at other restaurants. I don’t think we’ll return.

We were a party of 6 celebrating a very special birthday on a Sunday night. The restaurant was almost empty and very quiet. Initially our server was attentive but as the evening went on our table was left with dirty appetizer plates, empty glasses and no one around for us to order more drinks. Another sever happened to walk by and notice that we stacked all the dirty dishes which he kindly removed. Although the food was pretty good it was not as warm as it should have been. Again, our server was AWOL during the meal. When she did make an appearance she was always very friendly. For a $500 meal we expect a lot more, however, I am noticing astronomical prices and very sub par service in many Bellevue restaurants.

A bit expensive for the quality of food. I had the crab cake appetizer for dinner. I expect it to be small. The crab cake small (that was ok) but it had three (3) pieces of shell/cartilage. There were about 7 French fries. The corn salsa was ok. But for $18, the qualiity was NOT there.

My diner partner had the filet. OK, not a top piece of meat for $48. Plenty of mashed potatoes, but NO veggies.

The artichoke appetizer was VERY good, but that’s was the high point of the meal.

Food was outstanding. My only complaint was the noise level. We went on a Saturday night and there were 2 large tables of 10 guests surrounding our small table for 2 and the voices were so loud we couldn't hear ourselves talk. Unfortunately, our server was unable to find a quieter spot to move us to.

Pearl has good food, but this visit had a lot of large parties, resulting in an excruciating amount of noise and quite some time for water, drinks and food. But it is a beautiful restaurant, just needs to manage larger parties a bit better!

We have been a customer of Pearl for several years.
Friday night service was not at all what we have experienced in the past. Did not see any of the staff we have gotten to know over those years.

The waiter was great, friendly, and no negatives about him.

Our food was cold, the serving portions have been reduced significantly, drink service super slow due to bar business. Not thinking it will stay on our 'Date Night' go to ...

I met the lady at Pearl for happy hour in the lounge bar. This was my first time here, and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality drinks and apps on offer.

Pros: good variety of draft beers, very good tapas fare, and most importantly, the $1 oysters! Got 18, shoulda gone 36. :)

Cons: The small plates were quite small. Not sure if they pare down portions for HH or not, but I’d have been annoyed paying the regular price of most of these plates. That said, everything on offer was quite good.

I am definitely coming back for round 2 with the oysters, then will follow up something off the regular dinner menu next time!

Although I liked this place before, this time we were much less happy. It took enormously long time to get served, then to get through drinks order (out of champagne list on menu, they barely had half of choice actually available), then to get starters and actual mains. Slow and need to constantly keep hunting for a waiter, otherwise then tend to forget about you.

Originally it was a delayed Valentine's Day dinner for GF and me. Then we decided to ask another couple, who has not been out much lately due to illness, if they would like to join us. Starting with the service. We had two lovely servers taking care of our tabel. Katie, the more experienced, and Dana who was newer to this restaurant. Katie was very nice and very good, but Dana will be a superstar at The Pearl. What a delightful and helpful person. I ordered the half of a roasted chicken, which added a little time to how long it took to get our meal, but it was well worth the wait. I found it outstanding. The only down side might be that it wasn't really half of a chicken, but only a small breast with an attached drumette of the wing, and a thigh. The rest of the wing and the drumstick were missing, but that was not a major problem. The smashed potatoes were quite good, but the chicken was excellent. My GF had the Chicken Pappardelle, which was mainly pappardelle and VERY little chicken. One of our friend's had a double Caesar Salad which she said was excellent. The other friend also had the Chicken Pappardelle, but he LOVES pasta and did not mind the lack of chicken. We shared two desserts The Butterscotch Sundae and the Triple Chocolate something. The sundae was super, the chocolate something, not so great. Stick with the sundae. I would have given the restaurant a 4 star rating if not for the wonderful attention of our server Dana. She made the evening a great one.

Was pretty packed for Valentine’s Day so we sat in the bar to wait for our table only to be told reservations were backed up and the best option was to sit in the bar. I cannot daily our server because there was only one bartender and they were secretly understaffed.

Really like this place but seemed the night really fell apart and the lack of servers and only one bartender seems to point to a lack of planning for what was clearly going g to be a busy night.

Very poor management of reservations. We arrived on time for our 8:00pm reservation and were told they were running a “little” behind so we would have to wait about 20 minutes. We were seated at 9:10pm, 1 hour and 10 minutes later than our reservation!! I know this was Valentines Day but this was beyond acceptable. Plus the hosting staff were not very gracious or on top of things with accurate info. A bit of disaster, to be honest. On the positive side, the food was delicious as always and the server was wonderful. He was the one who graciously apologized, not the host staff or manager. In the end they offered to pay for our glass of wine (one each) and our shared dessert. We thought this was very fair, given the circumstances. We quite like this restaurant and have been there many times but will never return on Valentines Day!!
