We sat on the scenic outdoor porch with a stunning view of the river. Our server was kind, efficient, helpful, and even asked us if we were happy with our selections. My son asked for a lemonade & it was the freshest he's ever tasted. Between the perfect location, the delicious food (GET THE SALMON!!), and this server's general friendly helpful attitude, this restaurant lacked nothing. It's 7 stars out of 5, an eleven out of 10. Don't miss it!
Scenic spot on the Navesink River in Red Bank, New Jersey where you can enjoy fine dining from an innovative menu at a Sunday brunch, dinner, or celebrating a special occasion. Service is quick and attentive allowing you to relax and enjoy good company, good conversation, and the views along the water.
At Sunday brunch. Ordered Crab Cake Benedict. They were nice enough to split the portion on dinner plates, but that was the best thing about the dish. Well, the crab cake was very tasty, but:
Nothing but crab and egg on the muffin. Greasy fried potato bits on the plate, no other garnish. The Hollandaise was thick and tart. Very disappointed.
Very lovely dinning experience. Our server was very courteous and helpful.
We went on the brunch menu this past Sunday. The menu was somewhat limited, but my food was good. I had the Asian steak and something salad. The steak was cooked very nicely, the salad was very nice. There were two fried dumplings that were a little greasy. They should do the steamed ones. I was hoping for a pasta dish (just a craving), but no. Our drinks were very good, esp the choices (yes, several!) of Bloody Marys. Wish they had popovers like at Char. There were bridal parties going on, but they are well separated from the main dining area. There were not that many people in the main area, but it was still a little noisy. Maybe some sound absorbing tactics, because to enjoy the LOVELY view you need some peace.
Our table was huge and outside on the porch. The restaurant is very nice. Staff was nice. Calamari was really good. Burger and fries were also good. Fish tacos were ☹️
Wonderful meal with delightful, attentive service, (Peter), enhanced by the beautiful water view, bird and boat activity.
Came here with a friend for a catch-up, my first time. We were seated in a quiet corner by the windows in a bright and cheerful room that really is elegant and definitely set a happy mood. My friend had luscious looking and decadent tasting lobster roll(s) with chips and I a deconstructed steak and avocado salad, for lunch. The presentation of both was very pretty to the eye and the flavors were great. My steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare, as requested, was tender and delicious. The salad was bright and crisp. Our server, Peter, was attentive without being intrusive, made certain we were well hydrated and comfortably unrushed for our much needed catch up lunch. A delightful time and look forward to doing it again!
Spinach and goat cheese salad was prepared poorly with spinach stems not removed. The lobster rolls contained canned frozen lobster pieces I believe. Service was just fair and not professional guy or the caliber of this restaurant. The Classic Bloody Mary was outstanding and served with delicious pickled vegetables.
I ordered the swordfish which was delicious but I have a severe shellfish reaction and when my plate came out the cook had added clams which were not on the menu. My entire plate had to be recooked and my husbands plate was done. So we ate separate. I think any time substitutes or additions are made the customer should be consulted. Many people suffer severe allergic reactions. Other than this our meal was terrific.
Great water view. Limited menu. Staff helpful. Parking plentiful
Great ambiance, excellent service. Food was delicious, temperature at time of service was good
The views of the Navesink River are breathtaking and the food was delicious to go along with the views. Great combination.
Had a lovely dinner outside - the wine selection was ample and the food was very good (try the tomato & burrata!). Service was a little slow, but the staff was very friendly.
Wonderful view service and food. All together outstanding experience!
Never left a review before but below is my experience which I took from my unanswered email to the hotel.
Prior to my arrival I called to see if it would be possible to sit in the area with the sliding windows. The person who took my phone call was extremely courteous, identified my reservation promptly and confirmed he could accommodate my request.
What he failed to tell me was someone would be fixing the door during prime lunch hours (we arrived at 12:30). I guess this wasn’t a simple project as they were still working on it when we left and among other things it involved a drill and two men going back and forth. This was less than 10ft from our table. I believe it also prevented our server from checking on us more regularly. While we like the food, the ambiance is the main reason we like to come there - and this experience was anything but what we have come to expect.
If we were only told there would be “construction” going on when I originally called with the request or maybe the door could have been propped open and worked on not during prime lunch hours.
The service was excellent! The baked oysters were delicious. I had the chicken pasta dish, and the chicken was over cooked. The pasta serving was very large, but not very flavorful. We also had the Caesar salad, which the kitchen split onto 2 plates for us, and it was very good. The scallops and shrimp with risotto was also very good.
Wont go back. A party with two barking dogs, a simple order that was screwed up by the kitchen regarding a food allergy. The correct order took 45 minutes to come back out. Food was ok but we won’t be back. Way too many better options in the area.
Nice restaurant, priced fairly and the food was good. Only thing was the waiting staff, they were too understaffed. But great food!
I haven’t been to Pearl in years but was looking for a nice brunch spot to celebrate my birthday with family, and remembered the restaurant having excellent food and service, as well as a lovely view of the Navesink. There’s valet parking on-site which is a plus, considering parking in Red Bank is frequently a challenge. Service was outstanding and attentive. The food unfortunately was just ok. My two nieces omelets were cooked exactly as they ordered - well-done. However, my MIL’s eggs Benedict might have well been hard boiled, and my husband’s eggs he ordered over-medium were overcooked to the point of being rubbery. The waitress was very accommodating though and quickly brought him over-medium eggs. I got the lobster quiche, which was also overcooked - and it isn’t even quiche, more of a frittata, and seemed to be missing some ingredients. The lobster meat is served on top of the quiche rather than baked into it, and was tender and flavorful.
I’m wondering if the kitchen may have been overwhelmed due to a wedding party- the views, ambience, and service are enough to draw me back and give Pearl another try.
Great appetizers and food, cocktails weren’t good. Great views.
Good food and service. Great views of river.
Beautiful weather day to enjoy a glass of wine and a lobster roll.
Father’s Day breakfast excellent time
The service was excellent. The seafood was fresh and well prepared, but the side that accompanied the entry was bland.
First time at the Pearl. Ronnie, aka Pearl :), was great! Made our dinner thursday night (6/17/21) enjoyable ... It was my son's and future daughter-in-law's pre-wedding dinner. I commend Ronnie for his assistance. We will visit again the next time we are in Red Bank (we live in King of Prussia, PA). Thank you.
Fourth time at the Pearl . Just a convenient spot to host business or casual friends & you can't beat the view .Ron especially goes out of his way to make it an enjoyable occasion
First time here for lunch, excellent decision on a beautiful day, awesome view. The menu is somewhat limited BUT there is a wide variety of items to choose from. Crab cake appetizer was awesome, as was the grill shrimp & quinoa salad. Can't wait to dine here again!
All service members were great… food was good and the view divine
Oyster Point never fails for a great dining experience. Went for an early dinner/late lunch, sat out on the patio, and had some exceptional food! Got the lobster roll and panko crusted goat cheese spinach salad with added shrimp! Food and service was excellent!
Great experience at Oyster Point for dinner with friends. Outdoor dining atmosphere and view of Naversink is great. Excellent food and service.
There was a banquet being held that night so it was quite busy but nonetheless we had a terrific time. It was a lot of fun and the food and drinks were just what we needed for a night out.
Service was nice and prompt if a little confused. Food was heavy and very greasy.
Loved it!! Stunning location on the river. Food was very good and our server was excellent. It has a classy but not stuffy vibe. We had a perfect table on the beautiful outdoor deck with an amazing view. Wonderful place for a date night. We will be back for sure!!
All was exceptional except it was a super hot day and there was no air conditioning pumping through the room. For a group of pre-menopausal middle aged women this is no bueno. LOL. All else was excellent! Great value
Our reservation was handled efficiently and we had a spacious table by the fireplace in the west dining room. Service was wonderful although the meals were rather slow in coming out . An appetizer of fried calamari was enjoyed by all. The Caesar salad ordered by one guest was a disappointment. It was swimming in an over abundance of thick dressing - to the point that the Romaine lettuce was soggy and the halved cherry tomatoes were indistinguishable. This was noted to the waiter who was rather unresponsive about the salad. Other than somewhat slow service and the salad, it was an enjoyable evening and the meals were delicious.
So so good. Start to finish
Our server disappeared, we had to ask another staff member to help us. We were there for 3 hours due to staff shortage. Food was not great.
So many good choices on the menu it was hard to decide what to have.
Loved it. Will host my daughter’s bridal shower here!
I had not seen my sister and friend in almost a year. Pearl was a true “gem” to reconnect in person and feel safe and anxiety free.
