   Had great service and excellent food. The spicy calamari was a delicious starter (a little kick to the aioli). The angus tenderloin was perfectly prepared. The butternut squash ravioli was also delectable! Shareable sides were generous. Not many wine bottles under $100 and they no longer have a sommelier on staff. Only other downside to the evening was a young woman at neighboring table that was coughing and sneezing a lot, so hopefully we all stay well!

   Limited menu options but what they do have is simply fantastic! Best dinner in Big Sky by far! The Peaks salad was fresh and tasty and the tenderloin was five stars and more ! Asparagus was perfect and the butternut squash ravioli was a masterpiece.

   I have mixed feelings about posting a review, as we REALLY like PEAKS and have another reservation for dinner again tonight…. BUT despite having a food allergy posted on open table, and having a conversation about the food allergy when we sat down and a THIRD conversation about the same food allergy and asking the wait staff to check w the kitchen re the breads and the butter, “shareables” w the food allergen were served and resulted in an allergen exposure (and epi use) and frankly a ruined meal As a physician I “get” mistakes happen, and will even accept blame for not standing up and yelling a 4th time at the top of my lungs that someone at the table has a food allergy, but while the wait staff felt badly, the neither the chef nor the manager made an appearance — not sure they get that food allergies kill 150-200 people each year in the US

    I was very impressed by my server, Gabrielle and the host. Due to an unfortunate set of circumstances in the kitchen, the people dining next to me had waited quite a while for their food, and the host could not have been more kind and accommodating.

    One of the most disappointing meals/service I have ever had. Our appetizers took more than an hour and a half to come out. Then it was about another 30 min until our meals came out. Our food was luke warm at best and not cooked properly. No one came over to apologize or explain what was going on. Nor did they offer to comp us ANYTHING. We had to ask for one of the steaks to be removed from the bill as it was a literal hockey puck. They did that but that was it. Not impressed at all and thoroughly disappointed.

    Hotel setting.. people walking in with bathing suits and robes from pool to get a drink from bar… mixed drinks terrible … wagyu steak was cold and raw .. ordered MR..manager offered me a dessert… would not take off bill…most popular items on menu not available .. bill for 3 people $350… terrible

    Tried The Peaks as looking for a restaurant we hadn’t been to for our Valentines dinner. Prices were high, which I’m okay with as long as the food and service warrant. Our waiter was fantastic, however the food was average. (I ordered the angus filet) They ran out of mashed potatoes which is odd to me, however- they subbed au gratin. I asked for dessert recommendation only to be told “oops sorry, we ran out”. We thought this was an eatery on the higher end, but only the prices were high end. The bar also had very limited selection on bourbon. Overall very disappointing. If it weren’t for our charismatic and witty server, the dining experience would have been a bust.

    Booked at Peaks for Valentines Day dinner for 2 couples during our ski vacation. Service was just a little slow, although the restaurant was busy and we weren’t in a hurry. Remodeled within the past year and has nice, comfortable decor and lighting. The food was excellently prepared (lamb chops and steak). They no longer had a sommelier (previous one was always very helpful), but a fairly nice wine selection. Prices are similar to other high end steakhouses, so somewhat pricey.

    Epic place. Trout is the winner! Manager is excellent and services was great! Ate their twice on our trip and will again in the future.

    We had a horrible experience. Our server took our orders, but really wanted us to order appetizers and wine. We had had a late lunch, so just preferred to order cocktails and entrees. She brought our drinks, said she’d bring bread. Returned to say they were out of bread and would bring it soon. And then she just left. She was very attentive to the table of 8 or so next to us, and I could see that they were ordering all the works. Someone who I assumed was the manager finally brought our entrees, and we asked for bread, which he got for us. Our drinks sat empty, and we waited. And waited. And waited. After literally an hour she finally came back. By now we just wanted the bill. We would have ordered a couple more drinks and dessert, but it was clear we weren’t a priority at all. Maybe the restaurant should say they only want customers who will spend $175+ a head. Embarrassing experience

    Service was very good except for the initial filling and refilling our water. Main dishes were good. It would be nice if they offered more affordable steak choices, such as a NY strip. Broccolini was very spicy and au gratin potatoes were dry. The drinks were very good but on the small size for charging $20 per drink.

    As an international traveling service industry and food critic while unbeknownst to the owner nor staff, the following is what I experienced: + Reservations made on Open Table were flawless. + Host was very welcoming and personable. + Ethan provided fine service throughout! His demeanor, attitude, and service was outstanding, which shows he clearly has the establishment's interest at heart. + Very pleasurable atmosphere near the bar and windows. + Superb care from the entire staff, which yielded a positive attitude to do what's right for the customer and the business model. + Extremely high quality beef and prepared to perfection. - Au Gratin potatoes were too firm and not the appropriate type seasoning for this dish. - Asparagus was over cooked and too thin. If you are in the area and like beef, don't missed out.

    Food was cold and not much flavor. For the location and price we had much higher expectations. Waited forever to order as well as receive our meal. Atmosphere was nice however so loud my wife and I were joking around and yelling at each other as that’s the only way we could hear each other due to some rowdy tables. Not really the restaurants fault but they could have ask the tables to attempt to lower the level. Which they didn’t. The manager did however comp our meal so that was appreciated for a rough experience.

    Dishes were excellent. Preparation was spot on. Price is on the high end. One dish was under cooked but was quickly remediated and and was as though it never happened. Great staff makes a great experience.

    We were here 3 years ago and it’s not the same. The prices are (ie quite expensive) but the quality of the food was average at best and while our waiter was very attentive it took an hour to get our dinner. And the maître d’ gave the most token “How’s everything here?” as we were clearly waiting for our food still - he could not have cared less. Very disappointing - especially for the price point.

    We were excited to go to a nice steakhouse in Montana, and were ready to splurge. However, the whole experience was seriously lacking. Our kids were with us so we purposely did not order appetizers and just ordered our entrees right away to avoid a super long dinner. It took over an hour for our meal to be ready!!! We ordered the tomahawk for the table, medium rare, and after being told our food was delayed because the tomahawk was taking longer to cook, it finally arrived - well done. So disappointing. Didn’t send it back because kids were starving by then. We had actually finished our nice bottle of wine before the meal came out since that’s all we had while waiting. While they apologized, nothing was comped and not even a free dessert was offered. We also had the trout and the duck, both of which were better than the steak but not amazing, especially considering the price. Would not return, place really misses the mark on service level for the prices you pay to eat here.

    My husband and son loved the venison and the rib eye. I ordered the trout and was not impressed. Dry, very thin fillets. Salty and lightly dusted with what I assume is almond flour. I asked for the lingonberry chutney to be put on the side because I don’t see why smother a good piece of fish with sauce. We also ordered the calamari and the tomato bisque which were yummy. Excellent creamed corn as well. Lava cake was good but nothing over the top.

    Disappointed is the only word for a $750 meal I shouldn’t have to wait 30 min for a drink or anything let alone have to send a steak back. They have a captive audience but it’s only one notch above an Outback.

    Way overpriced for the quality of food. We paid $100 a head. Charged me $4 to put ice in my drink!! Waited a long time for the food. Carrots were undercooked. The manager was excellent though.
