Steaks were prepared well. Mashed potatoes were dry. Trout was over cooked and under seasoned.
we ate at peaks for 3 breakfast meals. The portions were very large. The last day i asked for a kids size so i wouldn't have to take left overs home. 5/5. Thank you
I was a guest at the hotel for seven nights, and my breakfast was included. Every single day I had the parfait, fruit and a bowl of Raisin Bran with. a regular coffee. I must say I did enjoy the parfait very much but I always had to order extra fruits which they promptly brought it to me.
I did not enjoy the coffee blend served at the hotel at all. it was very very watery.
I even tried the Cappucino, which was a big production to order, but seriously the coffee brand needs to change.
overall, it was a great place to eat.
btw the views are to die for.
Hostess and server were top-notch. The ambiance was pleasant and the food very good. It's convenient location in the village made Peaks our choice for several meals during our stay.
Only ate at Peaks for breakfast. Seating was incredibly slow as you had to wait for the hostess to take all the room service orders over the phone before she even looked at you standing in front of her. Manager said there was no other way to take the entire hotel's room service orders! Very poor organization. Once seated it took a long time before staff approached your table. Cold coffee was provided then but not cream and sugar. They asked if you wanted it and then only brought it when delivering the next part of your order. Staff was nice but very poorly trained in customer service. Food was fair. worst part was the industrial scrambled eggs. I asked if I could get two fried eggs and was told no. Only the scrambled ones from the big pan. What restaurant that serves breakfast won't cook you eggs to order? If breakfast was not included in our package I would not have eaten there.
Peaks was a perfect place for our family! We loved, Loved, LOVED the bison steak, creamy mashed potatoes and asparagus! The crime brûlée melts in your mouth! Terrific service!
Thanks to Ben, had a great last night here. Great service and drinks/food.
No creamer for coffee and finally received it but coffee cold.
Asked for salt and pepper never did receive it. Overall poor service.
Service was absolutely horrible. The food was mediocre at the “finest chop house in the area.” Not worth the money especially the drinks. I could have bought a bottle of wine and a bottle of woodford for the two drinks a piece we had. Absolute waste of money and time.
We had a lovely dining experience after a ski day. Our table was waiting for us when we arrived. The charcuterie board was excellent. I ordered the coconut milk/squash bisque, which was excellent. Side salads looked nice as well. Our steaks were cooked as ordered. Sides were plentiful, but not anything to get excited about. (A party of four could get by with two or three sides.) For dessert, we shared chocolate caramel cake (where was the caramel?) and the creme bruilee, which were OK. Staff was helpful and attentive, but not super trained in the art of fine dining. Water and soda glasses were refilled often. We passed on the wine, so can't report on their selection or quality. Overall a better experience than we generally have at ski resort towns where the staff turns over yearly.
Great prompt service our waitress profession and waited our every need.
Peaks has good food and a big area for dining. No problems with social distancing.
Great breakfast!!! The spinach quiche is delicious!
Fabulous for breakfast!
Convenient Mountain Village location. Great steaks and more.
Food is below standard of a roadside greasy spoon
Food was very good (butternut squash soup, steaks, drinks), they did have options for kids too, nice view of slopes, nicer atmosphere but not stuffy. We would eat here again.
60 th birthday
My wife ordered a Waugh steak. Medium rare. It came back well done.
Very nice time; waitress outstanding
Mickey was fabulous!!
Best meal we had at Big Sky. More expensive than other options, but excellent menu and food.
The restaurant has a beautiful setting right at the bottom of the ski slopes. Food was good, but overpriced for what it is. There were five of us, four ordered steak. All four steaks were over cooked, but had good flavor. The truffled cream corn was very good and I would recommend that highly. Lobster mac and cheese was a disappointment. Wine list is good, but they were out of about half of the list according to the waiter. Perhaps when the resort that houses the restaurant (Big Sky) stops using COVID as an excuse to deliver sub par customer service it will become the restaurant that can justify the prices. It has potential.
The restaurant is understaffed. We waited an hour for our order after we waited 35 minutes to place our order. The order arrived and the steaks were overcooked, but we ate them anyway because we did not want to wait another hour. The staff admitted to being understaffed and overworked due to poor preparation for the season by management. There are very few choices on the mountain.
I feel that if you are going to charge $56 for a steak and then everything else is a’ la carte, then you should provide the service that those prices command!
My experience with this restaurant is a summary of my entire experience with Big Sky Resort.
The breakfast is definitely better staffed than the dinner. The choices are very limited, but fortunately the breakfast is complementary.
We had a great meal at the Peaks. Our server, Rachel, was excellent, capable, courteous and prompt. The food was perfectly prepared. 4 meals of red meat cooked exactly to each persons liking. Quiet enough for pleasant conversation.
Only suggestion: change the music... “Easy listening Jazz” became wearisome.
We will go back and recommend the Peaks.
The food at Peaks was absolutely delightful. I had the angus tenderloin and lobster Mac and cheese. And the service was superior- special shout out to employees Ben and Don for going above and beyond to celebrate my birthday!
Food was ok. Not great but not bad. Just ok
Great Meal. Bison ribeye was awesome
The food and the service were both outstanding. The waitress was very attentive without being intrusive or pushy and the manager visited out table twice, once to inquire about wine preferences and once to check on our meal.
The food was well-prepared across the board. I had the 8 oz steak and my brother-in-law had the venison. Both were cooked as ordered and the sides were excellent; lobster mac & cheese and asparagus.
Not to overstate it but this was the best meal out I can recall in quite a while. Definitely for adults and more akin to fine dining; I would recommend leaving the kids behind and enjoying an adult dining experience. :-)
The food took forever and was overpriced and terrible. Worst steaks and sides we have had in some time. We had eight people and heard consistently the same feelings with all eight meals. We would not return. They gave us a small credit but the credit did not match the dislike overall.
Wonderful spot for lunch in the middle of a ski day. Good options for kids menu, with large portions. Delicious options for adults too. Right at the base of Big Sky hub.
I have traveled to Big Sky with a group of friends twice and eaten at peaks everyday for lunch and dinner 4 times. Love the place. The food is delicious, the servers are engaged and attentive and in the hundreds of collective meals we have had, none have disappointed. Warn the staff....we’ll be back. LOL
Skipper at Peaks is awesome. She is so helpful and attentive.
Food was very good and service was amazing
Our waiter was extremely helpful in making food choices. The food was presented beautifully and was very good. The noise level was low so that we could have a nice conversation. Our waiter, Benjamin, was very attentive! We had such a nice evening!
Everything was amazing...from the cocktails to dinner to dessert! Even the kids menu is actually good!
Food was okay. Pricey for the quality of the food.
