Made a reservation from the parking garage at 8:35 for 8:45. A snowstorm was coming, but the weather was not bad and the reservations went past 9:00 on OpenTable. We were told that the kitchen was closing early at 9 (it was 8:40 by then) and we could get takeout or we would have to order right away. Ordered immediately, tried to be considerate because we were in a hurry anyway, and asked what they could prepare the fastest. Then we noticed that the manager (?) was speaking angrily and gesturing towards us. Tables were bused and the restaurant was closing all around us. Our waitress was gracious and attentive, but this was the worst experience to have at a restaurant. We've been here many times in the past but it will be quite a while before we go back. Rude. When we left there were still plenty of people at the bar, and a few outside. Worst, most awkward experience.
This is our go to restaurant before attending a show at the Count Basie. The staff is friendly and the food is always very good.
Had a great pre-theater dinner Monday night. What a wonderful experience! The four of use split 3 appetizers, four pasta dishes and had scads of cocktails. The mood was up and energetic, our server was professional and friendly. Our food was terrific--I recommend the pappardelle bolognese over the orecchiette. Calamari was exceptional as was the burrata. The cannoli shells were a bit soft.
The place was energetic as it was early. Drinks were well made.
We will be back the next time we are in town!

Pazzo is always consistently good. I have been a few times now and the food, specials, service and atmosphere has been great each time. The only thing is that when you have a reservation they can get backed up a little, but the bar is always accessible to hang out at until the table is ready.

Great pick near Count Basie. Free parking garage. Food was delicious, great portions, service was attentive.
First time here, LOVED it. Reservations are a must, but food and service are outstanding !

Food was excellent. Waitstaff was excellent. ONLY regret was energy expended to secure a table for 2 adults inside the restaurant's dining area (and not the porch area adjacent to West Front Street) NOT near families of young, vocal children. Simple request which was eventually resolved.
I love Pazzo, the food is great, service is consistent and good. This particular night we were sat in the tented dining area and it was brutally cold and windy. Despite amble heat it just wasn’t comfortable- when it’s bad weather request an inside dining room table.
We specifically went there to get the filet mignon so I was very disappointed to hear that they were out of the filet as well as the short ribs. The food we had was very good and service also very good. Were seated out on the patio which was a bit drafty for the seats near the canvas. Heaters kept other seats comfortable. Patio is nice in warmer weather, but ambiance is better inside.
We were back again in Red Bank to attend a Sunday evening concert at the Count Basie Theatre.
We’ve made it a habit to eat at Pazzo’s before the show.
Like always, the food was fantastic and the service impeccable.
Our server, Christine, was very attentive and made every effort to get our meals to us with enough time for us to make it to our show with time to spare.
We did and I’m still relishing the delicious Chicken Picatta I had for dinner.
We’ll be back again for another show AND dinner this coming Friday at Pazzo’s.
I was looking for Italian close by to Basie. Pazzo popped up in an Open Table search. We arrived 5 minutes before our reservation time, and were seated promptly. After a short wait, our waitress arrived and first asked if we were attending a show at the Basie Theater. We answered yes, and she informed the cook staff. Each course was served efficiently, but we never felt rushed. My fra diavolo was excellent, as was my cheese cake desert. Some might say a little pricey, but I would say well worth it.
I am a frequent diner at Pazzo. Love the food and ambiance. When we’re just a coupe we enjoy the bar area and with larger gatherings the dining room. My only complaint on my recent visit Saturday night was that we were a party of 3 with my sister from out of state. We wanted to add another couple about 2 hours before our reservation but when I called it was declined. Upon being seated for dinner I soon realized the table we were seated at was a little isolated from other tables and could very easily have seated 5. I was disappointed that my call was not taken seriously as the couple that couldn’t be accommodated are close friends of my sisters who she doesn’t see often. I believe this could be hostess’s error and I’m not sure the manager was even notified of the request.
Food was good but it only took about 10 minutes to get our food, a bit chilly and noisy
The artichoke was soaking in water or broth to long. Leaves should be firm. The service was not very attentive. There is no coordination with staff. Food runners just drop off food was not ask if we wanted paper etc. The prices for drinks way out of line $ 14.00 for a martini.
As always we went to pazo before the sow we had tickets for. David Byrne at the Basie We always have a good time and enjoy the food at this restaurant.
Excellent, will be back. Great for dates, family and dinner with friends. Kid friendly :)

The vibe, the food, the service were fantastic. A bit loud but it was worth it. A bit pricey, but the food was delicious.
First and foremost, this place is LOUD! Our server, who was otherwise delightful, made a few errors explained away by, "I didn't hear you." Portions are enormous. The salads should definitely be offered in 1/2 portions for appetizers. My beet salad had a thick tan paste under it that covered the plate - turned out to be a "pecan pesto" - and was really off-putting. The "fresh figs" were definitely dried figs which was a huge disappointment because that's why I ordered the salad. My companion loved the enormous house salad with apples, almonds and gorgonzola. Both the vitello piccata and the halibut were good but they would have been much better without the enormous quantity of shaved garlic all over both dishes. I have never seen so much garlic in my life! We removed at least a 1/4 cup of garlic from our dishes. So food was good, not great, and conversation was impossible. Bread was really good!

All in all. Very good. I had the Filet Mignon medium came out well sent it back. No problem. Second One i get comes out rare. Told the waitress. She said sorry. This time. I need to go to the show. At the Count Basie Theatre. She did take it off. Which was fine. Was just hopping the manger or owner would have came over. I’m just saying.
Pazzo’s was filled with good food , great service and a atmosphere that set the tone for a fabulous dining experience.
Did the 30.00 Tuesday special. Good value..portions big..everybody bringing home food. Excellent services
We had tickets to a show and had dinner before the show at Pazzo. This was our second time here and it was just as good as the first. The food was delicious and our server was a sweetheart. I'll be going back again next week before another show. Pazzo has become our go-to restaurant when dining in Red Bank.
The venue and service were great. A bit noisy from the bar at happy hour. I had short ribs. I was disappointed with only 1 rib & very undercooked green beans for the price. Other order was veal marsala & was delicious & plentiful. Desserts were very good & coffee outstanding.
The meal was good from start to finish. My goat cheese salad was excellent. Fresh greens that were really fresh! The bolognese for a main course did not disappoint. But the dessert-the Pizzelle tower for two was AWESOME!!! We loved it. Beautiful to look at and tasted wonderful. The wine list was adequate.
I was not happy!! The food came way to fast. They forgot my appetizer!! No bread ran out. When I finally got the bread it was hard as a rock. When I asked for a second of coffee it took fifteen minutes.
The salad was out of this world! I get it every time and it's always awesome!!!! The meatballs (appetizer) were dry and but everything else was delicious!!!!
Pazzo is nice but I expected a little more personal inclusion from the staff. I took a date and thankfully it was in good company. It seemed like we were just another table buying a meal. No personal interaction from the server & staff. They were quick to get in & out and have us moving to bring on another table.
Another good dinner at Pazzo's. Had the special/surf & turf. Steak was cooked perfectly,
lobster tail fresh. Service was outstanding. One of our favorite restaurants in Red Bank!
As always, food was spot on and the service was great on what was an extremely busy night.

Very good but busy and crowded pre show at Count Basie. Walking distance to theater and garage parking was a definite plus.
