Local couple first time dinners. We came away very happy with Pazzo. Started with Caprese di Bufala, the tomatoes could have been riper, but was very tasty. Main courses were veal scalapini in marsala sauce (me) and chicken parm (wife); both excellent! The service from Mallory was top notch. Noise level was a bit high but not too bad. No room for dessert due to large servings. We will be back.
Dinners came out while we were halfway through our salads. The server finally asked if we wanted them to take the meals back until we were done with salad, but not until I said something. I then had to ask to make sure our meals would actually be remade. The manager came over and asked how long we wanted to wait before our meals came, but never apologized. I had shrimp fra diavolo. It’s ok but just know it’s frozen shrimp.
This was our first time at Pazzo. We were early for our reservation, but were seated right away. Our table for two only had one chair, but the hostess got another one immediately. Unfortunately when my husband sat down, the chair seat was wet and so were my hubby’s pants. We didn’t make a big deal about it, but perhaps a bit more attention to detail is warranted. The food was good and our server was okay. We are undecided whether we’ll make a return visit.
Excellent as always. Great for pre- or post-theatre.
Wine Wednesday’s are a treat
This was our first time here. The plates were huge! We opted to split a few dishes. They were excellent! Service was wonderful. It was a nice night out!
I was a little disappointed. Having been a frequent Open Table customer, all previous restaurant experiences have been great. It started out great. The fried calamari was excellent. Crispy, not chewy, the stuffed artichoke was tasty but a bit odd, served in a broth. For dinner I had the branzino which was cooked perfectly, although served with the skin underneath. The skin was not crispy. My boyfriend had the short ribs, amazing. The downfall was the accompaniments. Green beans and carrots which were deep fried greasy and raw. With what tasted like instant mashed potatoes. The other dish green beans with sauted tomatoes. The green beans tasted like freezer burn. We ended our meal with tartufo and cappuccino which were both great. I was left 50/50 about this restaurant. It is usually very busy, so maybe this was an off night. I don't think I will be returning.
The food was delicious. Our waiter asked when we arrived if we were going to a show at Count Basie and we said yes. Apparently he forgot because he left us sitting. We did not get bread when we sat down and had to ask for it and it arrived with our dinners. I just got the feeling we were not a priority. Other customers came and went while we sat.
My favorite Red Bank place to eat! Never been disappointed!
Food and service were great !!
Kitchen was obviously overwhelmed due to the pre-show crowd. My wife's haddock was overcooked and dry. Could not be eaten. I shared my chicken dish with her as there was not enough time to order her a new dinner. The haddock was taken off our bill.
Staff handled theater crowd very well. Short walk to the theater.
OMG...Monday night special is definitely a must if you enjoy good pasta and pizza. All at 1/2 the menu price. Delicious !
Wonderful service and food
Our waitress was from our home town of Pittsburgh
Date with the wife . They were a bit late with the table but only about 15 mins. They should have suggested we head to the bar rather than stand waiting up front. Busy Saturday night so service was decent but not excellent. Caesar salad had a lot of anchovies in the dressing so it had a fishy taste we didn’t eat it all just not great flavor. Bolognes was very good however. Nice place we have been before and will be back again .
Pazzo was much more than I expected (I had never been; my partner had). The waiter was wonderful: she was friendly, solicitous, but never over-bearing; she seemed to enjoy her work and customers. Food: extraordinary. One of us had branzino (regular menu); the other had the tuna. Both beautifully cooked. The tuna was rare, and accompanied by a truffle risotto and perfectly prepared asparagus. Yes, restaurant was noisey. But it was a Saturday night with people and children of all ages. We asked for a quiet seating area; and the noise seemed somewhat distant. Amazing restaurant. Go!
The food, service, and noise level were absolutely horrible. We will not be returning nor will we recommend.
Billy, our server, is so attentive from start to finish. He’s knowledgeable about the menu and remembered which wine we had on last visit. The main dining room can be noisy, but the open kitchen makes up for that. All in all, Pazzo is excellent.
Food was delicious and the service was very good considering every table was filled. Just a little noisy if you are looking for a more intimate setting but would definitely eat here again.
The restaurant is soo noisy that we could not hear each other speaking, and we were only four people. If you want a quiet evening, so not go to this restaurant.
As always, delicious food. My favorite Red Bank restaurant.
Always scrumptious food! Dine there often. Extremely polite waiter.
Birthday dinner for my husband Very enjoyable.
The food was awesome, service great. Our table was ready when we walked in on what seemed like a busy night. Everything worked out perfectly.
Went to dinner with 3 of my friends. Service was awful. Had been there a couple weeks ago and had great service which is why I recommended we go back. All of our food was subpar. Salad was fine. Pasta was cold and waitress gave a look when we asked her to re heat it. The pazzo chicken was disgusting. And the broccoli rabe pizza had a very unappealing taste about it. Will not be returning for some time. That’s for sure.
Nee Year’s Eve Dinner
Staff worked their tails off on New Year’s Eve giving superior service. Food was excellent and came out timely. I highly recommend!
Pazzo is always excellent! Never have a complaint.
Consistently a great place for a meal. Service very good for a busy new years eve
New Years Eve Pazzo did not disappoint. Everything was fantastic!
Food was great as usual but service tonight was average at best. Very slow.
Very satisfied with the food (chicken Parmesan),the wine (a Bordeaux) and the service.
Large family lunch! Service was spectacular!! Food was excellent.
If you need a wonderful spot for a large group this is a perfect place...
Great Italian food, reasonable prices and a nice atmosphere.
Fantastic! Our waiter, Billy was outstanding, prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and entertaining! The food was spot on, not over or under seasoned, as is the case at a lot of places. I had the orrichetti with sausage and broccoli rabe, the pasta was done to perfection and the broccoli rabe nicely bitter. My wife had veal picata which was cooked just right, not dried out like a shoe sole...I only have one complaint, and that would be the noise level. I prefer a quieter atmosphere for my dinner dining. I think they should add some soft sound absorbing materials to the decor, but aside from that I and my friends will return for another fine food experience!
As always everything perfect. Food, service, all great
Entrees delicious.but service could use improvement. Waiter never returned with beverage until dinner was finished. However, very courteous and removed charge from bill
I’ve had lunch and dinner here and always had a great meal!
Pazzo was amazing!! We have gone there on Christmas Eve for the past 3 years and it is always wonderful.
Great service, great food and beautifully decorated.
We went for my husbands birthday. It was a very busy Monday before Christmas. Our waiter, Andrew, was very professional and unfrazzled with all the customers he had. He made us feel like we were his only table.
Unusually slow service. Waited an hour and a half for our entrees. But they were delicious. Super noisy we dislike the outside room for that reason. Will be back.
